Announcing the 2012 Convention Video Contest!

Rules:

1. Video must be of Gerry and fit the theme of Masquerade.
2. Video must be no longer than 4 minutes in length.
3. All members are welcome to enter, you do not have to attend the convention to enter.
4. Deadline for entry is Sunday May 27th 2012.
5. One entry per person.

Please submit entries to: paisleyscot.cheryl@gmail.com
Or if you post it on YouTube please pm or e-mail me the link.

Preliminary voting will take place the week of May 28th by all members of GALS.
The Top Five Videos will be picked to be shown at the convention on Saturday June 9th 2012.
Final judging will be made after all five videos are viewed at the Convention by attendees.
Winner need not be present to win!

Grand Prize:

Winner will receive a JVC HD Camera/Camcorder & Trophy!

I am working on one but before this, the only thing I have ever done is put music to a photo slide show. This is really difficult! So, not sure yet if I will submit it...mostly because I may not finish it in time. :panic:

Yipes! The deadline is getting close! It took a while, but I FINALLY found a song I like. This is a tough theme! So, now I've got the music. Now I just need to figure out the video part of it. Easy, right?? NOT! I hope I can get something together for you ladies. I SO wish I could be in Vegas for the convention this year. Alas, not in the cards. **sniff**

I FINALLY got started today. It took me 8 FRAKKING HOURS just to do the darned title/intro sequence! Still learning as I go... I am excited to see the other entries! As I said before, this theme is really quite a challenge! I'm curious to see what angles others have found to do it justice. I am such a nerd! I LOVE vidding, even if I'm not very good at it! :lol:

Still kicking myself that I can't make it to Vegas his year. Hubby and I have a trip planned to Lake Tahoe the week AFTER the convention. I just can't justify jetting off to Nevada two weeks in a row. If only I was independently wealthy... Alas!

For the theme "Masquerade" you may very creative :pointy:

You could use masks in you transitions, use the music "Masquerade", maybe some Venetian carnival backgrounds and so forth.

Hope this helps for those unsure on how to incorporate the theme.
