  1. Sorry..I also let last week slip by, but I'm going with getting rid of Chaun and Jacko this week!
  2. Memory Lane is often a melancholy place...

  3. I think the first two I'd give the boot to and send home are Neil Randall, for being a cheat AND a liar...and Charles Bellamy...that guy needs to be sent home so he can "get some"!! Them camels can be dangerous!!
  4. And he did it on purpose, just for us... GALS can dream, anyway, can't they? And that's exactly what pictures like these make us do!
  5. Just sent something via the donation link here...wish it could have been more! I'm another who hasn't been on the site as much as I used to be, but considering the awesome memories and friends I've gained through GBGALS, I'd be terribly sad to see it close down...Gerry and the GALS are forever in my heart!
  6. I believe it was Tuesday, December 28th, 2004...the first gift I had opened on Christmas day was a couple of tickets to see Phantom of the Opera the following week. The anticipation nearly killed me, but that moment when he turned his face to the camera for the first time as he walked Christine down the torch-lit corridor is for-EVER etched in my brain...I was GOBsmacked! I'd never seen or heard of Gerry before, but at that moment I was a goner, and have been ever since!
  7. Holy Crap...! *wheels in head begin turning* Time to start planning and saving....WooHoooo!! :whoa:/>
  8. OMGosh...PLEASE tell me that is not a white "poet's shirt" with lace at the throat that's he's wearing!! Too late...even if it's NOT, the damage is already done just from IMAGINING that it is!! *thud*
  9. Oh wow...a great idea for such a worthy cause...posted it on my FB timeline, and I WILL be buying some tickets for this!
  10. Me too, Elissa...was getting ready to ask the very same question. Happy to donate to such a worthy project, and what a great day for a birthday...my 3rd son just turned 34 years old that same day! Happy Belated Birthday to our friend Sam...it's an honor to know him and to support his efforts!
  11. Mel, you're right, it's hard no matter which side you're on..the giving or the receiving. You did the right thing though, and in the right way, but then that's just the kind of person you are! Loved spending time with you and Marcie this past weekend! Still basking in the glow of the convention and all that took place there...it really was a good one and I'm so glad I went, even though it was a last minute decision on my part. I've also been awol for what seems like ages from the SC, and just now finished browsing through the posts left here since the beginning of the year. Oh, what nostalgia.

Got home Sunday evening, but I think I learned a lesson...should have stayed one more night to recuperate from the late hours/lack of sleep before attempting the drive home! Wow, was I tired, but took it slowly and stopped when I needed to, just to shut my eyes for a few minutes, then back on the road...glad it was only a 5 1/2 hour trip! It does take a while to get back to reality and into a normal routine after such a fun-filled and inspirational weekend as was had by everyone...missing you all, and looking forward to next year!
  13. I'm driving over from AZ Thursday morning...plan on being there sometime between 9 and 10 a.m...
  14. Haha, I agree, Suzie, and I guess I should've been a little more specific...I was referring to what everyone was wearing Thursday night to POTO since I already have my outfits planned for the daytime, and for Friday and Saturday nights...cocktail/fancy for Friday as I've always done and costume/mask for Saturday, same as you. I was curious about Thursday since the years I've gone to POTO before I've seen it both ways...dressy and casual. I always love dressing up a little for Phantom though, and I know exactly what I'll wear...thanks ladies, and Erik, here we come!!
  15. All right then, thanks Suzie! One last question...what is everybody wearing? Dressing up?...down?...somewhere in between?
  16. We'd love to have you join us for dinner, but we're not going until after the show so that we won't be so rushed. That's the day we're flying in. Hey Elissa, what time does your plane land? If you guys need a ride from the airport I'd be more than happy to pick you up, since I'm driving over from AZ Thursday morning... I just looked at my printout and it looks like we're getting in at 9:30am! I didn't remember that we were getting in so early thanks to the time zone difference. We don't even leave here until 8:50am! Well, it's a 5 hour drive for me from AZ, so I think I could do it...do you

  18. Count me in for dinner, definitely!!
  19. Same here...I know we probably won't be sitting together, but we can try to get as close as possible...I'll wait to buy my ticket until I hear where the rest of you will be sitting!
  20. Since I just found out today that I'm actually coming, I'd love to join you all for dinner for sure, and hopefully POTO as well...will check into it and let you know for sure in the next day or so...I'm driving over from AZ early on Thursday...Thanks! ~Alison
  21. After months and months of back and forth between "Yes, I am going" to "No, I am NOT going!" and back again to "Yes, I AM going!"...the stars have finally aligned themselves in my favor, and I just registered and made my room reservation this afternoon...better late than never, huh? Please forgive me for yelling, but THE ANTICIPATION IS ALREADY STARTING TO KILL ME...I AM SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO EXCITED AND CANNOT WAIT FOR JUNE!!! It always amazes me how the simple knowledge that I'll be coming to a GB Fan Convention sends my heart racing and makes me feel like a school girl again...counting t
  22. So disappointed that you won't be coming after all, Issy...I was excited when I saw your initial post that you were coming this year, darn! I was finally able to get my schedule figured out, and just barely got registered today, so I'll put together a couple of nice boxes or baskets with some fun stuff and bring them along with me, since I'm driving...is that all right, Cheryl?
  23. Dear Gerry, I was so very sorry to hear of your struggles, and just want to add my voice of support to all those already expressed here. I was there in Las Vegas in '06 when you took the time out of your busy schedule to surprise all of the GALS at our first annual convention, and I will never forget how genuine and caring you were to all of us. I believe each one of us in that room that evening left feeling we were someone special! Please know that my prayers will be with you and your family as you continue through this time of healing. Be strong, and know that you have countless fans out h
