YES! He does, in fact, participate in the heavy games. Typically he participates in Tulsa, Midwest City (OK) and Dallas. He tosses a mean caber -- his best event; followed by weight for distance and the "sheep" toss. He recently tore his rotator cuff tossin' the "stick," and that's put a damper on our games participation. However, I'm all a twitter because he asked me if I'd be interested in going to the Highland Games IN Scotland in 2007 or 2008. My actual response: "Not quite what I had in mind, but OK!!" (Hubby didn't get it. But inside of my pointed little noggin, I was dying in laughter!!) As you've noticed, my guy's rather "fluffy." If the need arises, he will most assuredly need more than one ice pack! :Yee-Haw: Thanks, again, for your generous offer! LOL My husband used to compete too. He "retired" in 2000 after winning the largest games in New England. We loved it, and used to travel from CT to ME.

Well said Swan. Gerry is playing a very emotional stressful part right now, and everytime he has to stop for fans, even on break, he has to get himself back into character again when he's done. People need to keep in mind that he is working, and he's too much of a gentleman to refuse his fans. If you were working 12-16 hour days, would you want to spend your breaks working as well? Meeting fans is different that filming obviously, but it's still work for him. It's part of his job.

I agree Dawn, not to mention the fact that he's alway been especially careful about not having his girlfriends photographed or in the limelight at all. He's very careful to keep that part of his life private.

As far as the girlfriend from 300 rumors, from what I was able to find out, that rumor was started on a website that thrives on gossip. It's been said they're as reliable as the writing on a public restroom wall. They're very nasty and crude.

Hi ladies! OK gals, we've had record numbers of people on here in the past couple of days, but the posting isn't there, (hence the streaking). Help us out here. Does anyone have any ideas? What would you like to see?? PM me!! (The first person to suggest Nekkid Gerry is going to get smacked!) How can we get things hopping? Help me!! I'll be around off & on today. I've had the past two nights off, and have slept like you wouldn't believe. I napped yesterday morning while Michaela was in school, and I still was in bed by 8:30 both nights. Today is housework!
