  1. YES! He does, in fact, participate in the heavy games. Typically he participates in Tulsa, Midwest City (OK) and Dallas. He tosses a mean caber -- his best event; followed by weight for distance and the "sheep" toss. He recently tore his rotator cuff tossin' the "stick," and that's put a damper on our games participation. However, I'm all a twitter because he asked me if I'd be interested in going to the Highland Games IN Scotland in 2007 or 2008. My actual response: "Not quite what I had in mind, but OK!!" (Hubby didn't get it. But inside of my pointed little noggin, I was dying in laughter!!) As you've noticed, my guy's rather "fluffy." If the need arises, he will most assuredly need more than one ice pack! :Yee-Haw: Thanks, again, for your generous offer! LOL My husband used to compete too. He "retired" in 2000 after winning the largest games in New England. We loved it, and used to travel from CT to ME.
  2. Well said Swan. Gerry is playing a very emotional stressful part right now, and everytime he has to stop for fans, even on break, he has to get himself back into character again when he's done. People need to keep in mind that he is working, and he's too much of a gentleman to refuse his fans. If you were working 12-16 hour days, would you want to spend your breaks working as well? Meeting fans is different that filming obviously, but it's still work for him. It's part of his job.
  3. I registered today too!! :yippee: :yippee: :yippee: :yippee: :yippee: :dance3: :dance3: :dance3: :dance3: :dance3: :dance3:
  4. My question is, why does it say, "Depp, McConughney, Beowulf" and not "Depp, McConughney, Butler" ?? Hmmm???? ::
  5. I agree Dawn, not to mention the fact that he's alway been especially careful about not having his girlfriends photographed or in the limelight at all. He's very careful to keep that part of his life private.
  6. As far as the girlfriend from 300 rumors, from what I was able to find out, that rumor was started on a website that thrives on gossip. It's been said they're as reliable as the writing on a public restroom wall. They're very nasty and crude.
  7. I go to bed early and look what I miss! Perrin, I could give you tnl kisses all over your whole face! Thanks for posting that pic. You guys are right, there is something different about him, but I can't figure out what it is. Who cares? He looks fantastic. :dance3:
  8. lol. Lish. I know how you feel. Do you have any idea how much I've been unwillingly dreaming of Sean lately??
  9. I remember that. That particular pic caused a lot of talk. I did hear though that they do know each other, (are friends apparently). This was back then too.
  10. Hi Gals, just a quick drive by before I go to bed. FYI, there's a new Ethan & Chatlotte segment up. The fanfic section has been so busy today it keeps getting lost in the shuffle. lol.
  11. I'll take nekkid Gerry thank you. There's been so much nekkid Perrin around, I don't think you being nekkid too would help the situation.
  12. Perrin!!!!! You aren't helping!!!!!!! :push: Go put your clothes back on!!
  13. Hi ladies! OK gals, we've had record numbers of people on here in the past couple of days, but the posting isn't there, (hence the streaking). Help us out here. Does anyone have any ideas? What would you like to see?? PM me!! (The first person to suggest Nekkid Gerry is going to get smacked!) How can we get things hopping? Help me!! I'll be around off & on today. I've had the past two nights off, and have slept like you wouldn't believe. I napped yesterday morning while Michaela was in school, and I still was in bed by 8:30 both nights. Today is housework! I swear.
  14. Why you no wanna go alone? I love going to the movies alone. I do too Sarah! Actually, my favorite POTO viewing was the time I saw it alone. I was one of 3 people in the theatre. (It was a weekday matinee).
  15. I know, it's been so bizarre around here. Plenty of poeple logged on, but no one's posting. Now streaking?!? lol. OK, whatever floats your boat.
  16. Whats going on tonight ladies?? There are all kinds of people here, but it so vewwwy qwiet. Does this help???? :mopboyjackie: :mopboystranger: :mopboymarek: :mopboyterry: :reddeathsword: :spontaneous: :bouncydrool3:
  17. I like him in his natural state too. I loooove the grey hair, kind of on the unruly side, and a little bit of scruff. Oh yeah, and no shoes! lol. Casual and relaxed. The King Leo look is great, but when I see I guy like that, I think about guys who are too obsessed with the gym. lol. I actually prefer a guy who takes care of himself, but isn't super high maintenance. As far as his body goes, this is my favorite look. ::
  18. Hi Gals! Just a little FYI... Under the "General Off Topic" section, there's a new subforum called Special Interest Groups. So far, we have 6 groups: Scrapbooking Gals, Acting Gals, Writing Gals, Moms, Moms of special needs kids, and Graphics Gals, for those of you who like making Siggies, etc. I'll add more as I think of them, and if there's a group you'd like to see, go ahead and start it!! :: Have Fun! ::
  19. Welcome back Bethy! We missed you! I can't wait to see what my surprise is. :dance3: :headspin:
  20. Reading all of your answers here have made me realize how fortunate I've been. My parents will be celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary this summer. I've always been close to both of my parents, but growing up I was especially close to my dad. Now I'm closer to my mom, probably because I'm one now too, but I've always had a positive image of men. I've seen, and even experienced what complete creeps men can be, but I've also experienced betrayals by female friends too. Men are obviously completely different creatures, but I wouldn't say they're any worse than women necessarily. I'm also one of those people who have always had close men friends. I had one close female friend all through Jr high and high school, but my other closest friend was a guy. After I gradualted, and was out on my own, I hung out with groups of friends, but was closest to the guys in the group. When I lived in Philadelphia in my mid 20's I had a female roomate, (one of the ones I was betrayed by), but we hung out with mostly guys, and my best friend there to this day is a guy. I'm now in my late 30's, and things have changed a bit. I have a few friends I consider close. Two of them are guys, and two are women. One I've known since she was a baby, (she's almost 26), and one is a Gal. I find it easier now to get close to other women, and have realized how important having that connection is to me. I've been married for nearly 12 years, and while our relationship isn't perfect, we're happy. I don't have the illusion that marriage, or any relationship for that matter, is easy. Any relationship, friendship included, requires work and attention if it's going to last. As far as Gerry goes. I agree, we only see the part of him he allows us to see. Granted, that is a lot more than many celebrities reveal, but there is still a huge part of him we know nothing about. He's just a guy, and I'm sure can be a jerk, lose his temper, scream and yell, have bad days, cry, and anything else that we all do. Not because he's a man, but because he's human like the rest of us, and that can be easy to forget sometimes. If anything, it has to be harder for him, because he always has to be concerned about who's watching him and the impression he makes. OK...I'm done. ::
