  1. Precious GALs,

I am sorry I have not posted in games or birthdays. My daughter in law had surgery been doing a lot of babysitting. Plus my diabetes is really in terrible shape. I spent a couple nights at my son's. So I only got on their computer for a few minutes yesterday. My duty was to babysit. Especially my little granddaughter. Her mama can not change her, bath her or lift her for several more weeks. I love all of you and thank the ones who welcomed me back from being a prodigal GAL..

Love, Peace, and Happiness to all of you. God bless.

A prodigal GAL...I think there are more of us out there, checking in every once in awhile (me included)...Hi, Tracy!

  2. OK...for some odd reason, PayPal took a long time to 'verify' my bank account...so I re-entered the info...it verified, so everything should be OK now....PayPal statement says one thing, my online bank statement says another....crazy....

  3. Delene...

Believe me when I say...so many of us here have been through this...and to see another one of us experiencing such loss...we not only know what you feel, but grieve also with you...I have a little Corgie /Chihuhua mix sleeping under my desk keeping my feet warm right now...my heart is broken for you...I do feel your pain...the most unbearable sadness.

  4. Excellent! Initially I was impressed because it sounded alot like one of Hans Zimmer's or Clint Mansell's creations (I love their work!), so out of curiosity and a need to know, I checked out wikipedia and IMBD...turns out the score is by Trevor Morris, who has worked extensively with Zimmer. Morris has a pretty impressive list of movie music to his credit ...The Tutors, Pillars of the Earth, Vikings and The Borgias as well as scoring electronic style music for several popular video games...also, I noticed, that Gerry is one of the producers of this movie...awesome!

  5. That was too cute! I got the impression from Madalina's websites that she somewhat idolizes Sofia Loren...and if she has just an ounce of Sofia's spirit, I'd speculate their relationship is probably robust and exciting...and probably entertaining as well! The Oscar parties seem to be pretty glamorous events this year...all the women look like stars...and the men...all those tuxes & bow ties...classy, imo! I'm old fashioned & old school Hollywood...I love the glitzy glamor & top-hat style for one night a year when all the stars get to twinkle!

ets..OMG...Irish...your siggy...I can't take my eyes off...or keep from smiling!

  6. I have to say it, there isn't another couple in Hollywood as beautiful as Gerry and Madalina.

Move over Brad and Angelina!! There is a new beautiful couple in town.

Thanks Barb for all of the wonderful pics! You are amazing!

    ~HUGS~ Kathy

I agree...they are a beautiful couple! Madalina is sooo gorgeous, and from what little I've read about her and seen on one of her web pages...seems as genuine and lovable as GB...
  7. Hi Gals

Hair done at last, now I only have the collar and jacket to finish, hope to get it done next week or my deadline has gone and I will have to put it to one side and get on with the Convention one, still leaning towards the Phantom for Convention, what do you think.

    your comments welcome please

Arwen/June...This is absolutely gorgeous! I just found this thread, and your cross-stitching is beautiful...an amazing talent you have!
  8. Leave it to a Scotsman to pay $75,000 to kiss a Haggis! Posted Image

Posted ImageSeriously...that's what I thought when I read that headline...some sort of charity event...where they were maybe auctioning off a 'real' Haggis! Either way it's a very generous offer from GB and I hope the event brought in many more donations.
  9. Delene

Wow, that's a powerful song and video, Delene...I just heard 'Tornado' for the first time, on our local country radio station KFROG, this morning. I kinda got away from listening to country for a couple of years...until you posted these two vids yesterday.

  10. Delene

That was cute...reminiscent of the band Ricochet...

Here they are performing our National Anthem a capella at NASCAR Las Vegas

ets...I just watched your vid again...love that song, and the little pigs are darling, too...

  11. Isn't this the exact same article from another Australian publication from about 2 1/2 weeks ago? It has the exact same wording...

Posted Image It looks like an interview from a 'press junket' for Mavericks from 'The Telegraph'(online), out of Sydney, dated 1-19-13...and put out in print via the 'Telegraphy', Australia, next day(sounds like possibly the same news corp?)...it's all new to me...lots of GB catching up to do...when I get the time, lol!

Also...when he's relating about the pain meds and his accidents, et.al...remember when he was in that crash scene with Pierce Brosnan in 'Shattered'...I was in a similar type crash years ago...didn't think it was a biggy, I was NOT obviously injured. But through the years...the inexplicable nauseating pain in my neck and shoulders is sometimes incapacitating...I think some of these types of trauma don't manifest the extent of damage to our bodies till years later...but, I suppose that's part of life and living it. As for being caught and crushed under a large wave...yep, I know that helpless feeling as it's happening, also...and the accompanying pain afterwards. Gerry is a very lucky fellow...

  12. Great find, becozy! Very insightful interview...but, alas...no mention at all of POTO! Seriously...I can't think of any other touted 'A' lister who would even dream of endeavoring the monumental task of performing an 'opera within an opera', where 99% of the dialogue was sung...and whereas most of his co-stars were trained vocalists...he had to prepare himself with singing lessons the year before filming his iconic portrayal of Phantom, despite the rabid vitriol of the naysayers and purists convinced an untrained unknown actor could never measure up to a 'real' opera singer. Gerry passed the ALW audition (which is a formidable experience even for 'trained' singers, from what I've heard!), the stars aligned, great talent was assembled...and a truly impressive cinematic masterpiece was born. I'm sure other really fine actors can sing beautifully...but would any of them put their selves out there...put their profession on the line...to even contemplate such an audacious and potentially career squelching feat? POTO is not an embarrassment to anyone connected with it...least of all GB! Posted ImagePosted ImagePosted ImagePosted ImagePosted Image

Three years ago, the actor described his ideal woman as "a combination of sweet and sexy, tall, dark, with a bit of craziness thrown in. At the end of the day, they have to be a nice person, and I have to respect and trust them. I have to feel cared for and know that she's [looking] out for my best interests."

He blushes when I read this back to him. "I said that? Wow, you've just described the girl I'm dating. It's her. That's so crazy." He starts laughing. "Oh my God, that's Maddie." So, has he found his ideal woman? "I don't know about mission accomplished, but I've met a very lovely girl. It's going good."

Isn't this just sooo Gerry...too sweet!

  13. Thanks, Hobbs! Delene mentioned that name in her hilarious dialogue Posted Image , so I figured that guy might be in G's network somehow...so, yeah...seems like somethings afoot, and for some reason the thought of Mel and Gerry hanging together has got my curiosity aroused... Posted Image

  14. Does anyone know who the 3rd guy is? He seems to be with them in most of the pics...and he has a coffee like Mel's?I read somewhere recently that Mel has another epic story/script he's passionate about...an historical account of the heroic Maccabean Martyrs and the Jewish rebellion and siege, 167–160 BC...
