  1. Hey Pilar!....You always post the most awesome pics!!! This one is just beautiful....takes the breath away~sigh~ Thank you....made my day! And the signature Janie made for you is stunning!...she does wonderful work! Oooppps! Hey Rose!....I guess we were posting at the same time LOL! Sure you can have a Lair name & icon....Swann usually helps with that....she always has the best graphics to choose from ....& she's very good when it comes to names.... I love mine...Swann chose the perfect name & graphic for me... Erik's Maiden of the Mirrors, Wondering Angel of the Lair Gal
  2. Hey Erica & Sarah....I also have a Facebook account but I'm still trying to figure it out....shoot... I just logged out of there....I'll get back with you guys later..... I miss your siggy Erica...it's like a breath of fresh air!
  3. I enjoy reading her posts on her myspace page--(saw yours there, Swannie!), and you can also listen to several of the songs from her upcoming CD there...she seems like a very levelheaded and down to earth young lady, not to mention incredibly beautiful and talented! I love her new music and definitely will be buying the CD when it comes out..plus I love that she and Gerry have kept in touch and are still such good friends...she said he was one of the first people she played the rough tracks of her new music for, that he supports her and is always there for her, and how lucky she is to have him for a friend...How I'd love to see them in another movie together! I love that you ladies are posting about Emmy....I'm glad that she & Gerry keep in touch and support each other the way they do...I think it would be very sweet if they did another movie together...I just love her...she is part of the Phantom magic....Hi Aya! Those Erik dreams can seem so strange sometimes!...I've never had one....but that's what I heard......LOL!
  4. The Starmeter at IMDb shows interest in .... Butterfly on a Wheel (Shattered) is up 47% from last week... Gerry Butler is up 65%... Pierce is up 3 %.... What does this mean?.....Maybe the petition is stirring up some of the interest....or maybe the release of 300 on DVD...consequently anything with Gerry in it.....but interest is UP! They ARE taking notice!..... Not sure how reliable or how significant the information is at IMDb is....but there it is....
  5. Quite often when a movie goes straight to DVD...it's for a very valid reason...It could be that Pierce's production company thought it was best for everyone involved (including the actors & crew members) that straight to DVD was the way to go with this movie....hence selling it to Lionsgate. I also read somewhere....that when a movie changes hands....it's not unusual for the title of the movie to change....legal stuff... Lionsgate seemed to be the only company interested in taking over this movie for distribution...I don't think they should be considered the "bad guys"...if it weren't for Lionsgate...this movie might not even go to DVD....sometimes that happens.....either way...it would be nice if Lionsgate would acknowledge our efforts and say one way or the other what their position/thoughts are ....that we have made an impact on their decision to give it wider release or not. And now that it is in the hands of Lionsgate.......the previous production co. more than likely has no say in the matter and might be prohibited from discussing it further(by contract agreement probably).....I'm sure we will find out eventually....but I do not think our hard work is pointless, futile or in vain .....Lionsagate ....& every other co. out there.... will know just what a strong following of admirers Gerard Butler has......they might want to buy up all of his movies in the future! LOL! These are only my personal thoughts, opinions, speculations, & observations..... That was a very insightful & thought provoking post Nathan. Thank You!
  6. Hey! Hi xmargx! Nice to see you here! Lucky Gal...you get to go to London & the theater!...Wish I were there....Have lotsa fun! Don't know about Lolita...kinda hard to travel as much as Gerry does & take a dog....I think quarantine is about two weeks from country to country by plane....but I could be mistaken...again! LOL! Yes marg...when I was thinking of this song last night I did see it from both perspectives...kinda hard to find just the right photos to make it work the way I wanted....a video would probably work better...right Erica? ETS....Hey...I was just off to get the links to your Chanson, Swann!....you're just tooo fast! LOL! I love reading your prologue, Swann...moves me every time!
  7. Thanks Swann! I Knew you knew where that article was! And I love your comment & observations as well! I'm saving your post for future reference!
  8. No song for this one....it's just nice to look at.... Don't forget to click!
  9. Yes.... I was having a hard time putting this one together...(It's almost impossible for me to say 'good-bye'....some sort of anxiety, LOL!)........ there is a lot of understated emotion in the lyrics of this this song.... the sentiment of letting go... and the feeling that comes from knowing you've done this for the greater good of everyone concerned....saying good-bye & moving on is sometimes difficult & sad...but also part of the healing process.... Our Erik discovered that sometimes things get all twisted around ....this is not the way you wanted things to turn out..the person you have become in their eyes is not the person you intended to be....and sometimes you just have to step away....stand back from all the drama & realize how insane it has all become....a reality check ....that the priorities of your life....your life!...has become nothing more than an opera, and you are not the handsome leading man..no...in fact you are the hated, hunted & despised villain... the pitiful creature of darkness, an angel in hell! A misunderstood victim?!....This is not how you want to see yourself, a caricature in your own play...not the man you want to be...how did this happen? And how do you change it? Your whole life is lived in your own private, comfortable domain--the opera house, the stage....but then you have this very strange epiphany....a release...and your spirit takes on a new lightness...that real life is outside of the theater you call home....and real life beckons you to come out and live.... Gerry is an incredibly gifted & talented actor....every scene he does in this movie is amazing....in an interview once he said he spent 4 or five months crying....listening to the saddest notes he's ever heard...gosh...I wish I could remember where that interview is.....
  10. If I should stay.... I would only be in your way. So I'll go, but I know I'll think of you ev'ry step of the way. And I will always love you. I will always love you. You, my darling you. Bittersweet memories... that is all I'm taking with me. So, goodbye. Please, don't cry. We both know I'm not what you, you need. And I will always love you. I will always love you. I hope life treats you kind And I hope you have all you've dreamed of. And I wish to you, joy and happiness. But above all this, I wish you love. And I will always love you. I will always love you. I will always love you. I will always love you. I will always love you. I, I will always love you. By Dolly Parton
  11. Yep...got it! Thank goodness it's not mathematics!....I'd have to go back to wikipedia to find out what 'parabolas' were(parabolic trajectory comes to mind!).... and I'm rubbish at math! LOL!
  12. So....I also thought about the spiritual aspect of being born again....but the first line throws me....Is it about being 'born again'? Need more clues if not..... parabolic...as in parable...not as in mathematics?.....
  13. Ok...so it's not Phantomish....hmmmm....I'll have to read it again....see...I said I could've read into it what I interpreted! LOL! If not Phantomish....could it still be Chansonish?.....that's what my idea of Phantom would've been...from 'your' story....if it's not Chanson related (Waltz With Death?)...I'm at a total loss! In which case...I'll need another 'clue'..... Overshadowed by a glowering Scottish sky. Murmuring of lives, and tears, and loves gone by. There I am compelled, and awaken to To a lover whose face and form I once knew. His voice echoes love's long lost, and tragic songs. To the sweet country where my vagabond soul belongs Together 'midst the encircling stones we dance. Enfolded in flowering, eternal romance. Grace transforms my passing, and fleeting frame. My heart shivers, when he speaks my name.
  14. Yes I saw that, Swann....I assumed it was about Phantom....the combined fourth lines in every stanza stands on it's own as a poem! I believe it would be referred to as a 'couplet'....every two lines rhyme That's why I said it was 'unique'....and very fascinating! Of course I could've been reading into it what I thought I interpreted...I was hoping that's what you meant! It's like two poems in one!I belong to the MacIntosh/McCampbell clan....according to my brother who has done all the family research.....hard to know the exact details when almost all of the family records have been destroyed , they were traditionally archived in the kirks...and many of them were damaged or destroyed by fires...depending on who was the reigning ruler at the time! So all we have is basically is stories passed down thru the generations..... Hey Deb! (that's my name also,LOL!) I love your smilie with St. Andrew's Cross! Actually.... all of your little smilies are cool!
  15. I love this poem ,Swann!....The more I read it the more fascinating it becomes... From what I can see it is a quatrain form...there are four lines per stanza....usually the second and fourth line rhyme...in your poem you have the first three lines rhyme....cool! You have ten stanzas....the last words of stanzas 1&2 rhyme, the same with stanzas 3&4, 5&6,7&8,9&10...I like that! This is not only a beautiful poem....but the form is brilliant & unique in my personal & humble opinion....
  16. :funnyabove: you did say you like to make us laugh.....you don't have a problem there, Swann! I don't think your post backfired, Swann ... I read the privacy statement at petitiononline.com.... According to petitiononline.com, the website hosting the petition, the email addresses are private and held in a secure archive to help validate signatures....the author of the petition & the recipient (Lionsgate) do not have access to them...unless the email was made public by the petition signer. So If you post & let them know their email addresses are relatively safe....my be more people will sign the petition if that is their concern.
  17. Amazing! They sent you a Happy Birthday email?! That seems awfully nice of them...it would be nice if they would at least give us some feed back on our concerns....one way or the other.... BTW...Happy Birthday Libby!!!! Luv~n~ Huggs!!! BTW again....your avatar gives me goosebumps....the good Gerrybumps kind!
  18. I've seen some really unexceptional movies show in theaters...must've been popular with some people....and yet I have rented truly wonderful and exceptional movies that went straight away to DVD....I do think it all condenses down to profits...I can't remember when the last time I saw an otherwise great film in the theaters with predominately foreign actors....except of course the Bond & Harry Potter films(both fine movies)...that makes no sense to me...anyone remember "Buckaroo Bonzi"? something strange happened with that movie also....never did find out the whole story....
  19. I know Moonie, I have seen a gazillion ads for Lindsay Lohen's new flick..... gag me with an entire place setting! Swannie :funnyabove: :funnyabove:
  20. Gabriel...

Who ever you are...where ever you are....I wish you many blessings....sorry you left before I got to know you...I am inspired by your posts..Thank you so much....

  21. Swann...Where are the new links for Chanson & Nathan's new web site......I'm having hard time finding the new ones....Thanks....
  22. Hey Sam...That's a wonderful drawing of Frank...do you do that from memory...or do you use photos?....Your work is amazing....Love it!
  23. Hey Libby! I didn't see the post for your B-Day...So...Happy Birthday Lady! Hope you have a great one! Luv & Huggs, Debrasue

  24. Don't you know by now Not To Pull The Mask Off!!! LOL! Bad things happen!.....Very Bad!Uhmmm........ maybe we could all pitch in & send Swann to the Shrink....save some money on the analysis...but I think we would all benefit from it... And now for something a little different....there's no pattern or form to this...just ramblings mostly... One of the reasons I love ALW's version...especially the movie(besides G's portrayal of course!) is Webber's & I suppose Schumacher's clever use of metaphor, allegory, symbolism, & seeming contradictions....absolute genius! Every song, phrase...every word means something....an economy of speech , body movements...even the costumes....every detail weaves together seamlessly & beautifully.....except where "Now One Would Listen " was left out.....very integral to the plot....the heart & soul of the story! The Phantom's Catch 22 (You're Damned if You Do & Damned if You and Don't) Either way she chooses, you cannot win. Send him to his grave she will forever hate you Spend the rest of her days with you...she will grow to resent you So there you are...once again alone Singing your song to the only friend you've ever known...the Monkey on the music box.. Paper faces on parade...hide your face so the world will never see you... You should have known it wasn't meant to be..but still.. Desperately hoping she would learn to love the man behind the mask You tried your best to seduce & compel her ...the music was your power... The beauty & love you secretly yearned for was within your grasp... But there was always the lingering thought in the back of your mind.... you knew you weren't meant to be a part of their world... especially now. When did you become the villain? That wasn't the plan The Devil's Child...evil, ugly , horrifying... a monster.... feared, hated... and hunted down like a dangerous animal....again... Your escape was planned well in advance.... This nightmare will haunt all three of you till the very end... Raoul fears you will take Christine away someday... Christine fears you might bring harm to Raoul... You can never escape the past that has always haunted you... And now the memory of what could have been... Has become the future that can never be... Will this tragedy ever end? But for now....you must find a way to begin your life... alone...again, for now..... I need to get some pictures for this I think....
  25. Yep! Ha, ha, ha,...that's exactly what my Dad says!!! Seems to follow me where ever I go...no matter how much I try to avoid it.... "Foot in Mouth" has already been taken by my cousin Breeze.....LOL!
