Hello Lynn!....don't be concerned....just Phantom/Gerry love here....for most.. this thread is a nice place to visit & relax....and enjoy the scenery...a refuge....you can share anything you want or just bask in the Love we all share for Gerry's Phantom....sometimes it seems we might go 'off topic'...but in here that's not really possible....anything Gerry is Good! Because without G...there never would have been The Phantom that we love....Gerry's Phantom! that scene with Gerry face down on the ground and screaming for Ryan not to hang up the phone just tears my heart out....yeah...I get teary at that scene....so intense...Gerry is a phenomenal actor....he really does pull you right in to whatever emotion he's portraying at the time....like when he gets teary listening to Lizzy's story about how Frankie's father is the cause of his deafness...Gerry makes you feel that heartbreak along with him...he's amazing....

OK..so the petition drive & movie reviews seem to be moving slowly right now...hopefully will pick up steam later...hope I don't bump anything important... Thought we could use a little bit of Phantom ....trying out some techniques with photoshop...mostly resizing..thumbnails & stuff....

nance...It might not do any good...but people will read the comments & take notice...and maybe others will see just how popular & admired Gerry Butler is!....and that he has a tremendously loyal & energetic fanbase that would try to move mountains for him! Maybe even G himself might read a few of the wonderful comments.....

Movies are made all the time and never make it to the theaters....sometimes they clash with other movies by the same production companies....there are many reasons...and sometimes the actors know in advance that it won't be shown in theaters....it's just the way the movie industry works....it's just business...stockholders...stuff like that....you really do have to be a grounded and realistic person with a thick hide if you want to work in that industry...disappointments can happen anytime for any reason...Gerry has a lot of guts to be able to deal with that kind of atmosphere....Maybe it's a good thing Lionsgate picked it up at all...from what I've been reading...there weren't too many other offers....Lionsgate could be the savior of this film...even if it doesn't get wider distribution in theaters...it will at least go to DVD....sorry ...I like to think positive beyond reason sometimes..LOL! Since I'm fantasizing here...I would sing "I Will Always Love You" by Dolly Parton...I love the softer, prayer like way she sings it....not so much 'at' him as 'for' him....I know...sounds weird...

I keep telling everyone it must be because we're hard-wired--from birth--to feel the way we do about Gerry, and therefore about each other...it's all about the "Gerrapport"! We can't always understand why we feel it, but there's no denying how we feel, and the way we're drawn to Gerry and to each other...I can only equate it to the movie, "Close Encounters of the Third Kind", where certain people from all over the world were pre-selected, and at a given time, found themselves drawn together to a certain place, and for a certain reason..*insert science fiction movie-type music here*do-DO-doo-doo, doo-DO-doo-doo)...and Gerry seems to be the "Mother Ship", so to speak!! Whatever the ultimate reason might be for each of us and why we feel the way we do about our G-Man, it can't be bad, 'cause too much good has come of it!! Anybody have a better explanation than that?? Don't worry, GALS, I'm okay...really, I am!! :funnyabove: Okay Allie, but if I start making a mash potato mountain on my kitchen table.... please just shoot me!!! So essentially that means...if Gerry's fans weren't alerted and got together as a group...there would have only been 6 people in the theater....Hmmmm...your right Swann...curiouser & curiouser..... Ok..so I edited a 'potential' spoiler...but I never go into a movie without some idea of what it is about...if it's a mystery...I'm always looking for the clues...LOL! Now I'm going to be super examining the trailer!!!! And speculating my brains out!!!

That's sooo spooky, Swann...that was the first thing I thought of when I saw the picture for the trailer!!! And I was also trying to figure out if there is a significance of the shattered mirror in the movie...it didn't show any broken mirrors in the trailer as I recall...but I could've missed something...or maybe it's just symbolic of something getting broken...this movie is gonna drive me nuts not knowing the details till I finally see it...grrrr!!! I love seeing him as a young father in this movie...he seems so natural, loving & protective...I love that in a guy...his hand alone is almost bigger that the little girls whole face...and his hand lingering on Maria's throat seems so huge & warm....very protective....~sigh~ In my heart I feel that The Phantom was Gerry's defining role...the portal that somehow will help him achieve all that he is meant to become or accomplish....sounds wonderful to me....
