The Ebay auction of the autographed Gerry Butler items netted a total of $1,519.02. Thank you to all who participated! This total was divided equally three ways, one-third to The Shade Tree, one-third to Angels of East Africa, and one-third retained by Rising Phoenix Charitable Foundation. Checks are being mailed today, each in the amount of $506.34, to The Shade Tree and Angels of East Africa. Thanks to your support and generosity, along with Gerry's, in this year of 2013 we have been able to donate the following monetary gifts: The Shade Tree - $5,862.16 Angels of East Africa - $7,040.97 This is a total of $12,903.13. To all the generous donors, thank you! You have outdone yourselves once again. To Gerry, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your generosity in donating and autographing the items for us to auction. Rising Phoenix CF appreciates all of you and thanks you with humble hearts. We ask for your continued prayers and support as we move onward in our charitable endeavors!

The autographed items auctioned on Ebay were NOT included in the totals announced at the top of this thread. Marlene Richter, Executive Director of The Shade Tree has already written us an eloquent acknowledgment, and I am attaching a copy for others to read. I will post separately regarding the Ebay auctioned items. Thanks everyone!

On behalf of RIsing Phoenix Charitable Foundation, its officers and volunteers, I am happy to announce the net proceeds from the funds raised during the 8th Annual Gerard Butler Fan Convention and Charity Gala in Las Vegas, Nevada. $11,890.45 $6,534.63 has been remitted to Angels of East Africa and *$5,355.82 has been remitted to The Shade Tree THANK YOU, all of you, from the bottom of our hearts for your extremely generous contributions and for your continued support of Rising Phoenix Charitable Foundation and the charities it supports! (*$346.89 of the $5,355.82 represents the net proceeds from the Ebay auction of the Beowulf 'britches' from March)

Congratulations, Stuart! I got all teary-eyed again over your story and the video! Thanks to your Laura for helping get all that together, and Holly and Dayna for their efforts, too! We were so hoping to get you there in "pairson" but understand completely about not being able to attend this year. Yes, how awesome that Gerry was able to give you a shout out in the video! Yes, Katie. I have been here 5 1/2 years now and I'm still having fun. I meant to add before that I missed hearing your beautiful voice at the convention via the streaming video. I know you had a vocal mishap that stopped you from singing. That was a shame because it is always a highlight for me to hear you sing. Next year for sure.

Thank you, Kathy, for congratulating me on 7 years with GB GALS! In a way, the time has flown, in another, it hasn't. I guess it's like that in life in general. I have been blessed by the friends and fanmily I have gained by being here at GALS. I'm very thankful! Hugs to you Kathy...you're over 5 yrs. here now, correct? Katie
