  1. Another thing to remember. If you are loosing consistently the suddenly stop for a couple of weeks or even see a slight gain. IT'S OK!! Fat cells never go away and they like being full, if you take away their fat they will fill up with water, but it isn't permanent. Also, plateaus mean you body is resetting its comfort zone at your new LOWER weight. Keep going, the body will have to obey.

Anything the mind can conceive and BELIEVE, the body can ACHIEVE!

I LOVE THAT! That is my new personal mantra! Thank you KB's MIL!

  2. Hi all,

I was just wondering if GALS itself has a team for the SGK Race for the Cure? I know that workplaces and different organizations do this, and they wear their team shirts for the race. I thought it could be really cool if GALS across the country ran/walked in their local SGK Race and all of us proudly wore our GALS shirts. A great way to spread the Gerry love too!

I don't know if this is feasible or not. Just a thought.

    :hugs:

    Rissa

PS, I realize this is coming a little late for this year, but maybe next year?

  3. Hi GALS! For those of you who are attending conference, PM me if you'd be interested in going on a jog down the strip on Friday and/or Saturday, preferrably morning before it gets too hot. Then I'm thinking Starbucks.....mmmmmm!

    NO, I'm not crazy!! :pointy:

    See you soon!

Sounds like fun, Jenny dear. If I was going to Vegas, I'd definitely go with you.

    Maybe next year. *sigh*

  4. I admit it Rissa... your Cards whomped our sorry butts yesterday :bow::bow:

The Padres totally suck this year... but I'm STILL A FAN LOL

And just think, you ALMOST had a Pad fan in me this year. Our beloved Jimmy (Edmonds) was a Pad for a short time, and I was prepared to cheer for y'all (except for the Cards v Pads games, of course). But now, he's gone and done the unthinkable and become a Scrub. Ick! I will still cheer for him, albeit silently in my head. No way in hell I can actually clap or yell for a Scrub. Gives me hives just thinking about it.

  5. Gotta admit, my stepson has an Albert Pujols poster. He's a good player. Don't you pronounce it, POO-HOLES?? ha!! ...funny

    :spit:

Yep! I hafta admit, I was sitting by a Scrub fan at the game a few weeks ago, and he had a shirt that said "Stick it up your Pu-jols." Pretty funny stuff... especially after a few drinks.

There was another Card fan there that had a Fukudome shirt, and it said... well, use your imagination. ;)

  6. I guess I was just too busy being an infant in the 80's to know what that is, huh?

    :flee:

Ahhh, I see. So when you grow up a bit more there's a possibility you'll like a real baseball team like...say....the Yanks??

    :funnyface::whoa:

Oh, you are just too funny aren't you.

I think I can safely say that there's no way in hell that I will EVER like the Skanks. No way, no how. In THAT little friendly fued, I will ALWAYS side with the Red Sux.

But aren't you just the cutest for thinking so.

  7. Oh, and I wouldn't wear a fookin' Cards hat either. Bleh!! :nanana:

    :nanana: back to ya!

But come on now, no matter where you're from... you just win freakin American Idol and the newslady has a mic in your face and asks you to do one little favor for "all your fans in St. Louis" (and there are A LOT.. he's a Missourian after all).. and she hands you a baseball cap, and you say "no"????

Gimme a freakin' break! He just pi$$ed some people off, I can guaran-damn-tee ya that! (Y'all think I have a Cards obsession... I'm small potatoes compared to some people!)

  8. Don't listen to her, Jenny. She's in a mood cuz of Mr. Tyler.

    :duck:

    *flees from Rissa*

    :kisswink:

I know yall are just messing with me, but you seriously have no idea how incredibly upset I am by this news. He was on something like a 12- or 13-year sober stretch (if that's even true.. I guess we'll never know.) I was all teary eyed at work yesterday and had to leave my desk to go take a walk.

Just imagine if it was GERRY who'd checked himself into rehab. THAT's how I feel. I have loved ST since I was a kid, listening outside my big sister's door as she played her Aerosmith cassette tapes. I am just so incredibly sad. But proud that he did the right thing, recognized the problem, and sought help.

Sorry to take this thread to another topic, ladies. Carry on! LOL

  9. I think NOT winning was the best thing to happen to Chris Daughtry. I think he has and will achieve greater success as a non-winner. Cuz not all winners are still around. I can only think of two really Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood.

I actually agree with you here. NOT winning allows the artist a certain freedom that they normally wouldn't have when they win the contest and are told (for the most part) what kind of music to make. (or so I'm told... I've not actually won the show and therefore have no first-hand experience. LOL) However, I DO think he is the more marketable contestant of the two. To me, that doesn't make him the best, though. I don't know...

As for those still around.. Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, Fantasia (who's a big R&B star now), Clay Aiken (who IMO, SHOULD have won his season and has one of the best voices I've ever heard). The others (Katherine McPhee, Taylor Hicks, Ruben Studdard, Bo Bice, etc.) I hardly ever hear about. I hope that doesn't happen to Archuleta.

ets: OK THAT SEALS IT!! COOK JUST DID AN INTERVIEW ON STL FOX NEWS AND HE WOULDN'T PUT ON A CARDS CAP!! FOOKER!!

*yes, I know he's from KC... shut it!*
