  • Interests
I collect Victorian ladys accessories, like fans, hatpins, jewelry, hats, gloves etc. I also like to read, go to the theater, cinema, and enjoy music. I have worked at a Wildlife rehabilitation and release facility, and I helped to train wolves, gave tours, and got to feed a grown (tame) grizzly bear dog bisquits! My Grandmother was born in France and I have long loved Paris even before my main interest of Gerard Butler in Phantom of the Opera! I have done costumeing for community theaters, hung art shows, taught craft classes, and I love to do beading.

  1. Yes, I think 300 will be the vehicle to make the world sit up and take notice of OUR GUY! I know he wants to be a success in his field. He is SO talented, and we all know he is HOT, so there is no reason that he shouldn't be on the A List of Actors. His movies have gotten him attention, and some of them have been from sub groups of people (those who like Musical etc) but this one I think will be heavily promoted, and will appeal to all audiences! Expect to be hit with a ton of new members after that film comes out! And can we hope for Action figures from this movie! My Marek Timeline doll is the only official doll of him out---altho there are many Kendoll alterations on ebay---but still it is nice to have one made just for our guy, and by the way if you have not seen the Marek doll--it is fabulous, looks just like he did in the film--all 12 inches!
  2. I saw TRISTAN AND ISLODE and did think of him when I was viewing it---it hasn't come to my town yet but when I saw the previews for THE NEW WORLD I thought Gerry should have been John Smilth, and then there is CASANOVA also not playing here yet, but he would be great in that from the previews. I was watching the oldies movie channel awhile back and I saw this old film based on a book---now it was rather outdated, so perfect for a new remake with Gerry---THE SCARLETTE PIMPERNEL. It is about this Englishman helping the French innocent aristocrats escape from the guillotine in Revolutionally France. He has a French wife and even she does not know his DUEL personality. I can't explain the whole story here, many ins and outs--but he acts like a total Fop in England, waltzing around in those satin breeches with this monical around his neck going on about fashion---can't you just see Gerry playing this up for all it's worth? And then he rides off for France and becomes the famous PIMPERNEL and sword fighting and foiling the armies and what have you---saving people from the very jaws of death! This role would be one he could really make his very own!!!! Also has anyone thought about him playing JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR? I mean in some parts of ATTILA, he really looks like the tadition Jesus! I think It'd be great!!!!!
  3. CleoBETHra is such a sweetie!!! She made me my Avitar, my Siggy, AND MY TRADE CARD WHICH I REALLY LOVE! I didn't even have the pix of old time actress Theda Bara to email her---she just went over and found the most perfect one! THANK YOU SO MUCH BETHY!!!! YOU ROCK!!!! :inlove:
  4. I WANTED TO CELEBRATE YOUR BIRTHDAY AS WELL, SO I REWATCHED MY POTO DVD--that must have been about the 28th time, but I have lost actually count! :mopboyerik: ANYWAY, I REALIZED AN IMPORTANT THING, WITH THIS ROLE YOU HAVE TOUCHED SO MANY PEOPLE AND CHANGED SO MANY LIVES. SO MANY OF US LIVING IN DISCPAIR--- BECAUSE OF THIS MOVIE WE CAME TOGETHER IN THIS SITE AND OTHERS, AND FOUND NEW MEANING IN OUR LIVES. YOU HAVE TOUCHED US, AND SAVED US, AND BROUGHT ABOUT A MIRICLE FOR MANY OF US!!! WHATEVER WOULD WE HAVE DONE IF YOU HAD NOT BEEN BORN!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR HEART!!!

    Gerry/Montreal

We don't know what might have happened to him at other places an other time. This might have been the straw that broke the camels back!!! He is a human being, and is intitled to get angry with people who treat him in an abusive way--especially ones who proport to be a FAN. A true fan would never treat him in a disrespectful manner. I would not treat any one that way, least of all someone I care so much about. I like most of us, would like nothing better than to feel his butt, but really I would not do it unless INVITED, and I sure don't see that happening. I am sorry he said he was sick of the fans, but I think he did not mean ALL fans, but ones who acted so rude. It was just said in anger!!! If I met him I would not even ask for a autograph, I would be happy to just talk a little with him. I think most of us would never annoy him and it is only the rabid few---and some of those will be off to annoy others in the near future. Maybe we should get together the GALS SECURITY TEAM, and we could form a circle around him and keep the crazies back and away from him!!! Someone, quick, start designing the Tshirts! This idea could be a winner! ::
  6. Well, good grief---how could you ever pick just one favorite photo??? He has so many looks--all breathtaking! And the man cannot take a bad photo (well if you ignore the one picking his undies out of his bottom!) Maybe I could narrow it down to one from each movie!!! Someone told me they are selling undiepanties on ebay with his photo on them---is it just me, or is that a little TOO weird!!! Well, this is one of my absolute favorites of the Phantom! :mopboyerik:
  7. I DON'T KNOW HOW TO LOVE HIM--From Jesus Christ Superstar, Andrew Lloyd Webber I have been a nervous wreck for days thinking about posting this for you! How to describe feelings that are undescribable!!! Well here goes: When I saw POTO, the story and your performance overpowered me with emotions. Suddenly I found myself aquireing all your movie DVD's and investigating the man who protrayed the Phantom with such conviction. Along the way, this old song (which I had always loved) suddenly took on a new meaning. It became the ONLY song I would choose to dedicate to you on your birthday. It is what I feel in my heart! HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR HEART!!!!
  8. ALL I CAN HELP OUT WITH IS INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE USA SPECIAL EDITION DVD. PUT IN DISC TWO SELECT ADDITIONAL SCENES PRESS THE DOWN ARROW ON YOUR REMOTE AN ICON COMES UP AND THEN PRESS ENTER THERE IT IS AND ENJOY IT!!! THE CAST AND CREW SING PHANTOM OF THE OPERA IT HAS LITTLE CLIPS OF GERARD AND EMMY, IT IS FUN, BUT I WISH THERE WAS MORE OF GERRY IN IT.
  9. JECKLE AND HYDE--I could see that, it's a jucie part and he would do it like no one ever had before. But no I don't want to see him play a pervert, a rapist, or an ax murder!!! I know actors sometimes like to do these things, but he is my HERO-----even if it is a tortured one like Phantom. Even Attila, I was worried before I saw it cause I am not into all that violence stuff, and yet even tho there was the killing thing Gerry played him with such compassion and I was attracted to him which sorta shook me up a bit---the two feelings together! I am much happier seeing him as the good guy and life is really full of crap these days, it is nice to see the uplifting part of humanity!!! My hero, my hero, my sweet wonderful hero---guess that is about all I have to say on the subject! :mopboyerik:
  10. THANKS AGAIN TO EVERYONE FOR ALL THEIR WORK ON THIS. IT IS REALLY A SPECIAL PROJECT AND I AM SURE GERRY WILL BE TOUCHED!!! THE IDEA FOR THE MESSAGES IS NICE TOO. NOW JUST TO THINK WHAT TO SAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  11. I saw POTO in the Theater 5 times, I woulda seen it more but I live in the boondocks and it was only here 5 weeks!!! I never stirred from my seat and did not eat, or barely breath except to cry every time. I had my DVD ordered and got it 10AM on the release date (I got the special edition so got to see all the extras and get high) I probably have seen it about 20 times now---start to finish. I don't eat, drink, or go tinkle. I still sit there glued to the whole thing, and I still cry. I still think he is the most georgous man, and I could never get enough of it or him!!! :mopboyerik: I have pix of the Phantom (and Gerry) all over my house. So I guess I am totally obcessed, and it is the most wonderful feeling!!! I want to see it start to finish every time, and will never ever get tired of all the wonderment in that film!!!
  12. You know, I sorta have this FLASH from time to time of meeting him, and somehow it comes out I am GypsyDy and he says "Oh, YOU"RE the lunatic!!!!" But you know I'd rather be crazie over him than sane over somebody else!!! :laugh4: Besides he is a lusty guy and has a great sence of humor, he probably thinks our carrying on is just part of the fun, so I'm not gonna stress out about it. And I can't imagine I would ever meet him in real life anyway!!! :mopboystranger:
  13. Well my computer gets heated up with all those pix you girlies up up for us to drool over--but luckily it hasn't melted yet---cause it isn't even paid for yet!!!! But if anybody could melt plastic it sure would be Mr Sexie Pants Butler!!!! :mopboystranger: Hubba Hubba!!!
  14. Yeah, I am suffering serious withdrawal here like the rest of you girl!!! I only got hooked on him with PHANTOM, so then it was a mad whirl trying to find all the DVD's and getting to watch them. I only just got ONE MORE KISS this week, and is he georgous or WHAT??? Man I fell in love all over again! But as for the Big Screen, Dear Frankie did not come to the boondocks where I live and I still have that one to buy. I was all excited about BURNS, and now God only knows what is up with that. B & G may take forever to get on in USA, and 300 won't be out for a long while!!! I love to rewatch the old ones, but I'd like to go to the theater and see him larger than life and drool and fall onto the floor like I did with POTO!!!
  15. When I was about 16 I got a fortune in a chinese cookie, that said NEVER SETTLE FOR SECOND BEST, HOLD OUT FOR YOUR IDEAL. I put it into my wallet and it was MANTRA for me---but I never found my ideal. I had one boyfriend and he turned out to be a big doublefaced full of lies creep! It broke my heart at the time but I know now I was better off without him!!! Anyway, the result is I never married, never had kids, never had anything! So my advice at my older age is to LIVE, not to wait for the perfect---to not waste the precious time we have upon this earth. Yes, for sure--feel the love in your heart for Gerry---I do most sinceely and deeply love Gerry as many of you others do!!! But keep your eyes and ears and heart open to the men around you and the world around you! Gerry has proved to us that the qualities we long for do exsist out there! I wish for each and every one of you to find that special someone!!! We all say that if Gerry was not so beautiful (Perhaps like our flawed Phantom) we would love him anyway! So let us PROVE that love by giveing others a chance! Some of us may choose to remain alone, and if it is our CHOICE than that is okay too! I feel that I am OPEN to the possibility, but truely I do not expect it at my age--I would like to be proven wrong! Until then I am not lonely, because I do have Gerry---sometimes I feel blue for sure, but I can put on one of his films and my spirit soars again!!! I do think he KNOWs he has this power in our lives. And tho he may have some nuttie fans, he seems to honor the special feelings of most of us. He seems to truely care about us---and many actors do not!!!!!! And that in itsself is very special---THAT HE HAS TOUCHED OUR HEART---AND WE HAVE TOUCHED HIS! :mopboyerik:
