  1. Update 11/1: I heard from lugerry/Barbara this morning. The surgery went smoothly, and she is going home today! As soon as she is able, she will update us on her recovery. Thanks for the prayers and well wishes ❤️ for her.
  2. Calling all GALS & PALS friends and prayer warriors! Our dear Lugerry is having surgery on Wed. 10/30. It is a serious surgery and Barbara would appreciate our prayers and good thoughts. She's a firm believer in the power of prayer and asks if we would help her get through this. She will be in the hospital for 3-4 days. Her cousin Loretta will be keeping her company during her recovery (and possibly re-arranging the kitchen cupboards again), so at least Barbara will not be alone. As soon as she is able, she will let us know how she is fairing. Thanks to all for your continued support for Barbara.
  3. Gerard Butler The Spanky Taylor Company 916 West Burbank Blvd. #206-C Burbank, CA 91506 This has been verified by Gerry's Social Media Team. Some simple guidelines for sending Fan Mail: U.S. GALS, if you would like to receive an autograph or a photo, please include a self-addressed stamped envelope with your request. If you are mailing from outside the U.S, send a self-addressed envelope with an International Reply Coupon. This is return postage for your request. Suggestions: If you send a photo or item that you would like signed, state that in your correspondence, and remember to include protective packaging such as stiff cardboard or padded envelope. Write clearly and legibly! This is a fan mail service, so not every item is opened by Gerry, but he does love to read his fan mail! He gets tons of fan mail and depending on how busy he is, it may take months to receive a reply – but you will get a reply from the service.
  4. Gerard Butler singing "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face" from Lucy Sullivan Is Getting Married 1999 UK TV Series (Series1 Episode 3) edited for gbGALS Thanks to scotsmanstuart YouTube for the episode. The clip is short, so it's repeated with some Gerry movie images. Enjoy!
  5. Thanks to our great Social Media Team, Holly and Stuart! This movie looks very exciting and entertaining IMO!

  7. With thanks and love to Gerry, the reason for GALS and Dr. Em/Dayna for creating our fun Gerry wonderland! And thanks to all the members who keep us going with support and memories.
  8. A little trip down memory lane! It's been 13 years since the first Convention...unfortunately, for a number of financial reasons, they are no longer viable. I thought those of us who were there, would enjoy this post, and a video slideshow, of Gerry's visit on Saturday, June 10th, 2006. Swannie (Swansong-Best Talent) and Mel (Abrock - Best Video) were presented awards by Gerry, assisted by his good friend, and then assistant, Tonya. and he had a few moments with Bethy (Cleobethra). The video captures from various GALS was hard to process, because of the room lighting and camera acoustics (and it was technologically the early years of cell-phone cameras!). Gerry brought his own cinematographer, Jeremy, who filmed it for Gerry. And we didn't get the entire visit in one cohesive video. There is a link to the transcript of the event - I don't remember who put it together, I think it was Susan~Sporran. You can find it here There are two snippets, from the origingal videos from Sporran and bea, in the video I made. There's also a copy of the Original Convention Flyer And since we no longer have a Gallery, the photos may be viewed on my Photobucket, no password necessary. The main Album has the Flyer and graphics, and then there are individual albums for each of the contributors for the Dracula Ball, lhighlighted directly under that. Just cliclk on an image to open the individual sub-albums. June 9 Day Activities/Classes - Various workshops and interactions with Gerry's videographer, Jereme. June 9 Dinner & Talent - Dinner, talent show, voting, karaoke June 10 Beowulf & Grendel Screening - Gerry's assistant, at the time, was his good friend Tonya. She hosted the screening along with Dayna/Dr.Em, Jennifer St.Giles, Stef with an F and Annette/Dr.Batista. Many thanks to Dayna for creating our fun playground for all things Gerry. Thanks, too, for all the love and support she and Jennifer St. Giles gave to the Conventions and the charities that benefited.. Enjoy! Video clip transcript: First clip: Gerry "Oh, this is incredible. You look fantastic. Although it’s tough to see because of all these flashes. I’m gonna walk outta here blind, I think. Is everyone having a good time?" Second clip: Gerry "I’m going to present this next award because I’m going to have to go. But honestly, honestly, I got so worked up about this I’m telling you, because I thought - I was worried about turning up and I go yes, welcome to this convention in my name. And it feels very strange to do that, yeah, but I’m glad I came."
