  1. Libby was indeed a very special person. She made me feel so welcome at that first convention when none of us knew one another in person. It was like finding a special friend that you had known all along. I can only imagine the loss that her family feels now. Rest in peace, Dear Libby. You made a difference to a lot of us in this world. Love to you always. Jill
  2. Thanks Elissa for the game and thanks for the reminder, Suzie! I will go with Movie 43 and Tale of the Mummy. Hugs all!
  3. I vote off Set and send Johnnie to the Island. Sorry I'm late in voting. Been entertaining my young nephews this week. I forgot how exhausting it is with young kids. lol
  4. Since I haven't seen the movie, I'll send Set home and send One-Two to the island. Gotta love the dance moves.
  5. I think I will vote off Clyde and send sweet Johnnie to Exile Island
  6. Still in the mood to kick off Kable. I'll send One-Two to Exile Island since I'm in the middle of watching RocknRolla and I'm enjoying his moves.
  7. Oh, can't send Dracula home so I vote Dracula to Exile Island this week. I vote to kick Kable to the kurb. (yes, I know how to spell curb.)
  8. Thanks for posting my vote, Elissa! I really appreciate that. I can go with the the two cheaters this week as well. Neil and Sam (OMK) bu-bye boys.
  9. I will go with Marty and Jackie Jr. this week.
  10. I think I'm actually going along with the pack this week...maybe...lol Giving the boot to Charles-again a camel? Really? And Yasha-your giggle is infectious but *snorrrrreeeeeefest* of a movie.
  11. I'm working out the timing with some family stuff that's hitting right about the same time but as soon as I know for sure if I'm clear, you can bet I'll be there!
  12. All righty...somehow I completely missed voting last week. Will try to stay on top of this. I'm going to still aim my vote at Charles Bellamy because a camel...really? He may have been suffering, Irish, but he still had other alternatives. My second vote will go to Yasha. Loved the giggles but the movie makes me want to down a bottle of Scotch just to get through it.
  13. I'm going to go with Burke because I really don't remember his part at all in this and Charles Bellamy because he was an idiot. lol
  14. Thanks Elissa! My votes are for Chaun and Burke. Bye guys.
  15. I'm sorry to hear your sister's news, Bonnie. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with her and your whole family.
  16. I loved seeing those that could make it to the weekend and send lots of virtual hugs out to those that couldn't. My GALS cup is full from all the hugs, laughter and unexpected moments. I loved meeting our new attendees. I was able to catch up with those I know, have some wonderful chats with others that I hadn't known as well before this weekend. With all that, there were still folks that I didn't get a chance to speak with individually. Maybe next year? Our time at The Shade Tree will be a treasured moment. Seeing a child light up when they got to CHOOSE what color spiral notebook they could have was precious. The moment when they realized they could have THREE made me realize I've been one of the lucky ones my entire life. While it was a bit overwhelming for this introvert amongst the well organized chaos, I will always remember the darling little girl giving a precious picture she had drawn herself to the volunteer helping her choose her school supplies. Her sweet smile moved me to tears. From the other side of Vegas, Fremont Street is well, Fremont Street. lol An eye-opening experience(and eye averting on one occasion) shared with a few lovely ladies is another one for my heart to always remember. Too many other moments to list but as I sat back at our final dinner listening to conversations straight from the heart, I thank Gerry for being the catalyst that brought us together over the years. GALS has been a special part of my life for nearly 10 years. It's always been more than a fan club. I've met the most incredible women, laughed more than I thought was possible, learned a LOT about myself and pushed myself beyond my comfort zone. Thanks to all who have been a part of this over the years. I look forward to many more years together. You ALL are the best. , Jilly
  17. Congratulations to our worthy King Leonidas! Such a fun contest, Elissa. so much for all of your hard work. You came up with some brilliant questions and it was a lot of fun. Your efforts are VERY much appreciated. Here's to next season and to seeing all the attendees in to you as well!
  18. Saying bu-bye to Frosty with no hesitation. King Leonidas for the win!!! and over Johnnie going home. Maybe next year.
  19. Ah yes, the tiara. Almost forgot that. Yay on jeans! My kinda thing. Just a bit of shopping for a couple of tops and I'm good. Thanks! I'm soooooooooooo excited!
  20. I wasn't able to go last year and I'm SUPER excited to go this year! What kinds of things did you guys bring as far as clothes and the extra kinds of things? I want to be sure I'm dressed appropriately. If you know me, you know I don't usually ask this but I'd love to know how comfy/fancy to plan for. Many thanks!
  21. This is a nail biter and it isn't even the final week!
  22. Argh! I can see the point of the argument for Leo to be the one left standing. 300 did put him on the map for a wider audience than some of his earlier roles although Phantom will ALWAYS be the one that grabbed me and held on from the moment he stepped down the corridor. However, this isn't necessarily about our all time-forever-favorite role. It's down to who will be the last two standing in THIS game. I may end up coming back and changing my vote to break a tie. Seeing two of them go home at this point would kill me. Ok, maybe just wound me a little. For now, my vote is to send Frosty home. As difficult as it will be to choose next week, the role of Johnnie and the role of Leo are my two faves of what is left and I would rather choose between them. (I know where I'm leaning.) I better keep track of where the voting is though. Dang but yall make this difficult.
