Well, other than the obvious - GERRY - my family would have to be my number one interest! My DH and my two kids, ages 5 and 3, keep me really busy. I work full-time and when I'm not working or chasing kids I try to find time to scrapbook, garden, hang out with friends generally enjoy life! I enjoy going to baseball games (Go Cards!) football games (Go Rams) and again, keeping up with all things GERRY!!

  1. Donna - I love your pic! You do not look like total crap! I want to hear more about your actual interaction with Gerry (sorry if you posted it somewhere else and I just cannot find it). What was your impression of him in person? It will be very interesting to read your thoughts since I know you (a bit) so I can kinda "see Gerry through your eyes". Are you recovered from your trip yet?
  2. DONNA!!!! No way did you get to meet the man himself!!!! I'm sooooo excited for you!!!! So, taking into account the whole "Six Degrees of Seperation" theory, I'm really, really getting closer to Gerry now. I've met YOU and you've met GERRY... ... okay, well maybe it doesn't work like that, but I still like to dream. Girl, you've come a long way since we watched Ger on the big screen in December!
  3. Gerry may be wishing for a bit more privacy at times, but he is certainly not going out of his way to avoid attention and adulation! And I also disagree with the "missing the mark" statement. Box office wise, yes, those movies may have "missed the mark" but I thought Gerry did quite well in all of those mentioned films!!
  4. Her story about Gerry scaring her and her mom was cute, too. She's adorable - but I didn't realize she's almost 12! In another few years, I bet she'll be looking at Mr. Butler in a whole new way
  5. My best friend is English and while I can understand her and her Mum (who still lives in West Morleands in England)perfectly, there are some accents - specifically, Brummie accents and Sheffield accents - that I have trouble with. So while I'm sure some Brits get a good laugh at us Americans, it may be true in some instances that an accent is hard to understand. That being said, please, please, please let Gerry use his normal speaking voice in this new movie!! It's so sexy!
  6. My daughter is SIX - do you think they'll "card" her if we win? I think I'll enter the contest anyway....
  7. I'm with you! Makes an ovary cramp just thinking about it... This one hurrrts me... What's sad (or good?) is that this kid has NO IDEA that there are hundreds of thousands of women, the WORLD over, that would gladly hand over all they had to have Gerry on the same bed ... dressed or otherwise. Oh, gosh, can't you just imagine Gerry reading a bed time storrry to ye? OMG - my thoughts exactly. I wonder if Abigail will look back in a few years and think "Wow, I had that HOT Scot on a bed with me and I was too young to care?!?"
  8. I saw the trailer for "Definitely, Maybe" last night when I went to see "PSILY" again. Abigail looks cute but I think the premise for the movie is a bit weak. Gerry .... in glasses .... portraying a father .... Just kill me now.
  9. A thought: The public and the press have an attention span of about a nano-second. Gerry's bird flipping has already faded into obscurity everywhere but here, it would seem. Brit's had another meltdown which has garnered far, far more media attention than Gerry's bird ever will. So, whether you think the gesture is bad or good for Gerry's image, it's a moot point, because every action of a celebrity is quickly overshadowded by another celebrity's action....and on, and on....like a vicious cycle.
  10. Ditto! I flip my own friends the bird, in a joking way, when they are razzing me. I don't think Gerry takes the gesture that seriously.
  11. Yeah, wasn't it beautiful? *sniff* I think I'm going to write a poem about it now....how about a nice haiku? Mid finger salute. It is called flipping the bird. Angry. Back off. NOW! Okay, so writing haiku isn't my best talent. Don't quit your day job, DK!! Haiku didn't work....do you do limiricks? A good limirick might go nicely with that picture. **flips Active99 the bird** Oh so that's how it's gonna be, huh? :boink:

  13. Wow, would I ever LOVE to build a big bottomless pit here at my office! Only if I could be the one to do the kicking into the pit, of course.
