  1. I have my own theory about this whole thing ... total speculation, but I believe I'm not too far off from the truth. What it looks like to ME is that she's showing him that huge green ring she has on (you can see it in other pics), and then he goes on to show her how he could have been Green Lantern or some other super hero. That's what the succession of pics looks like to me. LOL Just fun to make a story out of the pics, and one that doesn't make Gerry look like a Lothario. Lisa
  2. From everything I've heard through the grapevine, there won't be ANY red carpet premiere either in LA or NYC. Again, this is heresay from people who know people type thing. From what I've been able to figure out, TIFF is THE event - the world premiere. I hope beyond hope this is incorrect, though. I think MGP deserves to have a huge US premiere in both Los Angeles and New York, so let's just all keep our fingers crossed. Lisa
  3. So great for Gerry! I wish I could go. I'm really so very proud of him, and I can't wait to hear how much the critics love it. Thanks for the info, Moira. Lisa
  4. Nope - that's a brilliant observation.
  5. I love it! It's going to look fantastic on my wall, too! It's just wonderful to see Gerry headline a movie and be the sole man on the poster. I am so very proud of him, and I can't wait to see it! I hope it gets lots of critical acclaim at TIFF!! Lisa
  6. Yup ... BANG BANG is what I thought when I saw this.
  7. Oh wow he looks GREAT! Is it the lighting or does his hair look a bit darker, less brassy? Whatever it is, I love it and he looks fantastic! Thanks, Moira! Lisa
  8. Totally! I also like to eat raw cookie dough, but only the tube from Pillsbury. I also like stale cake and stale brownies. Don't ask cause I have no idea why ....
  9. LOL Knackered is slang for exhausted. Love your siggie, Kathy!
  10. Fantastic! I'm very proud Gerry was a part of this. Thanks for the info. Lisa
  11. How can we overanalyze these now? Geesh - he just got finished playing over an hour of soccer with the big bhoys, and probably was given 10 mins to shower before the press conference. Personally, I think, for someone who got off the plane, went straight to the field, played for an hour, took photos, etc. and who knows what else before sitting down to talk about it all ... he looks DAMNED GREAT! I'm so happy for him that he got to do this, and you know he's proud of himself as well. At least I hope he is. Knackered - what a great word. Lisa
  12. Awwww, I bet it was surreal for him! I'm so glad he had a great time, and you can see it all over his face in the photos of the game. I think all that surfing practice helped keep him going for the game. I'm so very proud of him. I hope someone can get the sideline interview! That would be so great to hear. Thanks Barb! Lisa
  13. Apparently I was worried for nothing! I've never been so glad to be wrong in my whole life! Lisa
  14. Wow! That man is NOT sick nor too skinny! I like this action shot! He looks fantastic and happy. What an opportunity for a little boy to play in a game with his favorite footy team? I can only imagine the excitement he felt getting ready and then getting out there on the field. I'm so glad he got to do this! Lisa
  15. I've been hoping this one comes true!! Sounds like a great project for Gerry. I'm really happy about this. Thanks, Ren! Lisa
  16. Figures - just when my subscription stopped. LOL Thanks for the heads up! Lisa
  17. Thanks for the info. I'm sure at some point this week we'll get video of him on the field.
  18. That's all we can do. Great post. Thanks for the reminder.
  19. Here is a photo of Frosty and Jay when Jay was 16: Frosty is most definitely not as thin as Gerry is right now. Yes, Gerry throws himself 110% into his roles, we know this. I just hope this is all for the movie, and some of us will have to agree to disagree. In that video it seems to me his sparkle is gone, and it's breaking my heart. This is not like Christian Bale or 50-Cent losing all the weight they did for their roles. This isn't a role that requires this drastic of a weight loss. His health is of the utmost concern to me, so I really do hope this is all for the movie and once it's done we'll see OUR Gerry back to normal again. Lisa
  20. For myself, I said the paleness was due to the lightening (and the fugly background) so I'm not worried about that. He's tanned, we saw that last week. But personally, I see him looking much thinner than even last week at the game. In the four years I've been a fan, I have never compared him to anything other than himself. I never even consider his roles (you will rarely even see me use a character in a siggie). I just see a very thin, very unhappy looking Gerry in these photos. I do know that surfers have to have zero body fat, I get that. I just don't like what I'm seeing in that it seems Gerry has gone beyond what needs to be for a movie role. But hey, we'll probably never know the deal but I and others are totally entitled to worry about him. Since the Barbados photo fiasco, which I saw NOTHING wrong with btw, it seems he's been getting thinner and thinner and I worry he's feeling the pressure from Hollywood to look younger, be skinnier and basically be something he's not. If one quote is true that I saw yesterday, he'll be doing another action movie soon so hopefully that means he can get his physique back to a normal looking man size. Gerry is thinner in person than he seems on the screen or in photos, and that's before all this so I can only imagine how thin he must be in reality right now. Oh, and because I know this is coming ... I love Gerry no matter what size he is, no matter what his hair looks like, beard or no beard, etc. My love and support for Gerry isn't based on his looks. I said all I have said because I'm worried about a person I love very much. Yes, he's a big boy and can take care of himself, etc., etc. etc. It's not going to stop me from being concerned. Lisa
  21. Good job on them, and a great coup for Gerry. Thanks, Barb.
  22. As much as I hate to say it, I'm with Swannie. I saw THIS ONE and not only did I gasp but the tears welled up. I can see that the lighting makes him look pale, but that is not his face - his face is beyond "thin". I'm terribly worried and I'm tired of keeping it to myself. These pictures took me by surprise. I'm so so worried. I'm no longer convinced this is for the movie. Lisa
