  1. OMGosh Amber, This is fate!!! I just bought a book about the making of the statue of David and it has all the detail work in it on how the statue was made and the complete detale work of the hands and body. My friend, James put me on to it for my sculpture of Gerry's Body! James said from what I have shown him of Gerry's King Leo pics, the statue of David would be a perfect model for Gerry's sculpture. I am practicing with the clay and I have found a guy that does detailed sculpture such as I am going to make of Gerry! I want to get the face as well as the body in as much detail as possible so it looks like Gerry. Of course Gerry's statue will have a bathing suit on, or at least pants. (DARN). I have not gotten to see PSILY yet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am dying here!!!! My adopted daughter wants to go see it and she is leaving for Mexico with my real(?) daughter tomorrow and begged me to wait 'til she gets back and wants to take me. My own daughter isn't interested and I don't want her to go, because I"m going to cry when Gerry dies! Already got my box of Puffs Plus. And she will try not to laugh, but she will. She thinks this 'crush' will pass! My Grand Baby said, "never happen Auntie, she's loved this guy for eleven years and is still going strong!!!" Well, Love and Hugs to Ya All, AOGJoanna YYIW!
  2. Sweet Moonie, I'm sorry about the bad news potential. But Us GALS are all here for you when you need us and no repercussions. Prayers are being said NOW. Love and Hugs Baby Girl, AOGJoanna YYIW!
  3. Tis okey dokey ~Susan. Sometimes I have to be reminded that I'm going overboard. But, thank you for understanding and you are right, it was getting too sad. I just thank God for Gerry everyday! He is sooooooo cute! Yummmmmm Yummmm, I love your avatars. Am trying to get both of Gerry with His foot coming thru the door and also that tummy roll!!!! OMGosh, that is so to die for!!! :tasty: Love and Hugs to ALL, AOGJoanna
  4. Sweet Nordic Girl, I think I have not gotten the message to put the two top PSILY strips of Our Gerry on as my avatar. If you sent them, and I'm sure you did, please send the instructions again. I'm sorry, you can beat me up when you meet me someday!lol lol. But seriously, I didn't get the info and I am dying to put those on my spot!!! That Man is the "EPITOME' of AWESOME", YUM,YUM,YUM!!!!! :droolpuddle: But, I Love Him!!!!! Can't help lovin' that Man!!!! Love and Hugs to All, AOGJoanna YYIW!
  5. {quote name='Susan~Sporran' post='1155927' date='Jan 23 2008, 11:12 AM']GALS - I know we are all shocked about the sudden loss of Heath Ledger but I think we now have to get off the "what if it was Gerry" thoughts. Sending all that negativity into the universe can't be good, and it obviously isn't good for any of us to start worrying and getting distressed over something that HAS NOT HAPPENED. Gerry is fine, we love him and care about his well-being, but let's try some positive affirmations and try to get away from the negative ones. Gerry is fine Gerry is healthy Gerry is happy Gerry is working Gerry is loved by more people than he will ever know Gerry is surrounded by the light and love of his family, friends and fans OK, so here is a beautiful picture of that man we love, happy and healthy at the PSILY premiere: Clickable[/quote} ~Susan, I think we all know that Gerry is all that you say. We are just worried that anything can happen to anyone at anytime. Heath was not into drugs any more and he just took too many sleeping pills to go to sleep. We are not worried that Gerry isn't any of the above things that you mentioned. We just wanted to express our Love and Care about Him, Himself. Some of us, especially me, may have gone overboard. But Gerry is a bigger that life figure to some of us and we worry. Sorry if I sounded maudlin, didn't mean to. Just Love, that's all, AOGJoanna
  6. {quote name='greyeyegoddess' post='1155908' date='Jan 23 2008, 10:32 AM']Hello gals up in the support center, Just a commercial break from all your fun. Please let me know in a personnal note what I do wrong. I truly am trying to be a good GAL and not mess anything up for me or US. Thank you, AOGJoanna
  7. OMGOD, PLEASE DON'T TAKE OUR GERRY AWAY FROM US!!!!!! That is as bad as loosing one of my children! And I know I would be unconsolable!!! That Man means that much to me and I'm sure all of Us. I still cry when He dies or gets killed in movies!!! There is no way I would get over Him being gone. He is such an integral part of my world, that it would be a loss so great, I would never get over it!!!! I know, I'm nuts. I can't help it. There is something about Gerry that has caught me in a whirlpool and keeps me there. Just floating and watching Him live His life and praying for all good things to come to Him and that someday I will have the greatest honor to meet Him and just talk for hours and hours. I want to become a friend that He can talk to when He is disgusted with the way things are going or mad at someone and needs to vent without repercussions. No ties, no expectations except a Good, True Friend!! Well, there I did it again, babbled on and on about Gerry. "Can't help lovin that Man" as the song goes! So, that is a thought that I work on constantly, prayers for Gerry and His family. Love and Hugs to ALL, AOGJoanna YYIW!
  8. Paige, I have never seen anything that was offensive from ANYONE on this site. We are all here to say things that we can't say to anyone else that has a Gerry syndrome. You have never offended me and I am 63 going to be 64 in about a month. I don't look or FEEL 64. I have plans and I am going to see them come true. You Gals give me incentive as much as Gerry does. I am going to meet that Awesome Man someday and become His friend. He has been my Love for eleven years and no one ever says 'you'll get over Him' to me on this site. I have encouragement and, I feel, Love from some wonderful people here. I truly Love all the GALS and PALS on this website! Thank you for letting me be a part of something so great!, and Someone that is so Great!! This is terrible about Heath!. I just saw him over the weekend in 'Knight's Tale. He was a very good actor and from what I heard this morning at the doctor's office,(I went in for a nuclear test of the heart) it was a total accident. He had not been sleeping and took some sleeping pills. They didn't work fast enough and he took some others. The mixture was lethal. He did not commit suicide! He had made the appointment for the massuse and he loved his little girl very much, he would never do that to either of them!!!! I, also will pray for him and his family. As one of the Gals said, we are 'prayer warriors' on this website. Swannie, I am terribly worried about you. I don't know what you have tried, but I think you should get in touch with your doc and ask about a sleep clinic! That's my opinion of course, but I, WE, don't want to lose you. You are so special to Us. Your words and thoughts make Us feel so good. I only wish there were something I could do to help. I can only pray for you everday as I do all the GALS and PALS and especially Gerry and His family. Love Ya Babe. Love and Hugs to ALL, AOGJoanna
  9. Eva,

You make an ol' lady feel sooooo good. But that is the quality of the people that make up the Gals network. You also show that quality and love having you as a friend. Write whenever you want to. I'll get back asap!

    Love and Hugs,

    AOGJoanna

  10. Dear Swannie, Been there, done that, I'm so sorry for ya Babe!! But, you can at least talk to US GALS. I have three kids and four grand kids. I know about loss of sleep. I worked mids to 8am, came home, took care of a 96year old (the works) fed my old man and both grand babies and babysat 'til 4pm. Three breakfasts, three lunches, three dinners everyday. My heart goes out to you sweet Swannie. I'll put you in my prayers for your health. Hang in there, you can do it!! I also wish Gerry would speak up about the PSILY, I still have to see it!!!! My adopted Daughter and her future daughter-in-law and I are going to see it the second of February. I already bought a box of Puff Plus! I know I'm going to cry my eyes out. I still cry when Gerry dies in "Reign of Fire' and "Tomb Raider:Cradle, I don't watch the end. I know Gerry's character deserved to die for his greed, But, I mean, ahhh, Damn! it was Our Gerry!!!! Love and Hugs Darlin GALS, AOGJoanna YYIW! This is too scary! I just watched Heath in 'Knight's Tale'. He was so cute, it's hard to belive he's gone. So young!! He was also in the Grims Bros. movie. I liked him pretty much. This is tragic. AOGJoanna
  11. {quote name='NordicGirl' post='1155252' date='Jan 22 2008, 05:59 AM']  I'll risk it.... Like fiiiine wine... [/quote} OMG!!!!!!!! Nordic Girl, I just got home from the doc's after getting a stress test and a my-o-view for my heart! They had to give me a med to make my heart rate go up! They should have just let me bring pics of Gerry with me, especially the 'stomach roll' one and the 'entering the door, dance'!!!! I LOVE those two soooo much. Gerry is soooooo cute! How do I get those on my avatar space? If you can do it for me that would be great! If I have to do it myself, just let me know how. God Love that MAN!!!!!! Loove and Hugs, AOGJoanna[/b] ]
  12. Hi Everybody, I watched the second link and realized it's from the second disc of the DVD POTO. That is where Andrew and Joel explain why Gerry was choosen for the part. And as AWL says, Gerry fulfilled his and Joel's expectaitons for a Man, that " was the right side of Danger"!! The attempt to make the Phantom sexy and masculin was on purpose. Singing was an aside, that Gerry could at least present the songs ably, was enough. Personally, I loved His voice, especially when He sings the song, "No oneWould Listen, at the end of the second disc. It, unfortunately, was cut out of the movie, but thank God someone with a brain in their head, put it in the 2 disc special of POTO. Thank You Patsy, for sharing with those who do not have the second disc. I Loved Gerry in the movie, but that's not saying much for me, because I LOVE EVERY MOVIE HE DOES!!!!! Because I Love Him! Love and Hugs to All, AOGJanna YYIW!
  13. Am sorry but i cant agree with this at all. I have looked at LOADS and LOADS of reviews of gerry's films and in every film he has had fantastic reviews. PSILY has actually been very very successful, yes its not like the book but its been very well recieved. Although i agree.I dont think Swank was right I dont think there is anything wrong with any choices he has made in films. And if you are a proper fan of gerry you would respect his choices for doing particular film.We may not like everyagree film gerry does and its only natural Sorry to have sounded harsh in anyway but i just couldn't agree I cant wait for this film. And like paige i aint a fan of mr and mrs richie. But i will certainly be checking it out I somewhat agree with all the comments made by 'lopes' and' Scottish-lass' about the Gerry movies. But I also know that every movie a person makes gives them a learning experience for future films. I'm not happy with a few movies Gerry has made, ie: "Tale of the Mummy", Harrison's Flowers", but only because there was not enough 'Gerry' in them. How can you learn to be better if you don't try all aspects of your craft. Gerry is, unfortuately, getting in so late, that He will, as He says, not be able to do the roles that require such physical stamina for much longer. A person's body just can't take that much abuse as you get older and Gerry is thinking of the future. Hopefully, He can keep up the pace of physical movies for at least ten years. Bruce Willis, Nicholas Cage, to name a couple, are very physical men and still doing a lot of physical action in their movies. And both of these men are in damn good shape for men their age. Gerry can do it!!! As for His choices of roles. Whatever Gerry does, is OKAY!!!! with me. He's the MAN. LOVE YA GERRY!!!!! Proudly, since 1997!!!!!! Your Neverending Fan, AOGJoanna YYIW! ps. Scottish-lass, How do they spell "STOP" in Scotland? Is it the same as ours here in the USA? I am making a project in sculpture class of 'STOP' signs. I choose Scottish to be one of the signs and can't find the word for stop in Scottish! HHEELLPP, please!!! JO Hello Joanna Yep we spell it the exact same way lol Its its a scottish stop sign its usually just STOP lol I can also tell you shape etc if that will also help you and colour? Yes, Please! Any info is very appreciated. I am in the process of making the signs right now and that info would be great!!!. I'll let you know the grade when I get it, if you care to know. Love and Hugs, AOGJoanna

  15. Jeb, My thoughts exactly!!! You love a person for who they are!, not who you want them to be. I personnaly Love Gerry for what He was, is and always will be, HIMSELF!!!! I don't care for His hat because I love His hair. He has a beautiful head and I LOVE to see it. But, if He wants to wear a hat and He picked it out, then by God, He should be allowed to wear it. And another thing, I love the way Gerry wears footwear. So, the remark the dope made about "loafers" was so stupid!!! He has such awesome feet, shoes look so good on Him, so that the only thing that could improve His wearing of any footwear He wants, is no footwear at all!!!! Love may be blind, but this Man is made to be loved!!!, and even if I'm blind about Him, I can't be the only one, not with the fan base He has!!!! So, you are so totally on the mark about Gerry being HIS OWN PERSON!!! Let's pray that no one attempts or even thinks they can try to change Him. PLEASE GERRY, DON'T CHANGE ANYTHING, ANYTHING ABOUT YOURSELF, ESPECIALLY THAT AWESOME ACCENT!!!! :goodjob2: We Love You Gerry!!! Love to All GALS and OTHERS, AOGJoanna YYIW!!!
  16. :droolpuddle: You and Me BOTH!, oh, okay anyone can join us, but they'll have to fight me for the seat in front of Gerry!!!!! My eyes are not totally covered!!!! God, Love that MAN! AOGJoanna Can that be me sitting right next to you? : Absotivlylutely!!!! That's absolutely and positively!!! Gerry, I think, will be glad to have His GALS and TARTS there to support Him and not be putting their hands together in a prayer like gesture. They'd be too busy picking up their eyes and trying to stop their friends from sliding onto the floor in ecstacy! What a picture!!! :meninkilts: The Man is, as I often say, and will continue to say, The EPITOME' of AWESOME!!!! I'm a hopeless case, AOGJoanna YYIW!
  17. Apparently he is. Watch his Jay Leno interview from April, 2005, when he tells his kilted stories. The one about his sister's wedding makes it clear that, yes, he does wear it properly (i.e. regimental). Unfortunately, it sounds like he only wears the kilt at special events--like weddings, Dressed To Kilt, or (maybe) Robbie Burns Night (when he's even able to go to one, that is). Other than that, he's never been seen in a kilt, as far as I know.Oh, by the way, Joanna? I said he should wear the kilt more often (like a real man ). Stacie is the one who wanted the wind! EDIT: While I was typing this, Joanna told the story that I referred to above. Seumus, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to mix both together. You gotta make allowances for the old Lady(me). Sometimes I get so worked up over the thought of Gerry and all His awesome attributes, I get goofy. Gerry is the only actor I have ever, ever, loved!!! He is so "Human", that He makes people like Him because He is 'touchable'. This is an attribute that I have never seen in a movie star. 'Course, I've never cared about one enough to watch what they are like. Bruce Willis is still my next favorite of them all. He is very good, and He is still very handsome. He keeps in shape too for a man his age. But, Our Gerry is the Supreme Man of all time to me. And I totally agree with you. He has the legs and especially the knees to wear a kilt. I have been watching that Man for almost eleven years. I'm as proud of Him as if He were my own son! Love Ya, AOGJoanna YYIW!
  18. Me neither Midnight, All I see is a clean white T-shirt I want to put my arms around and snuggle my face into His chest. I'll bet He smells Good. His shirt is so clean and white. But I don't see any belly, and even if He did have one, there is only one thing better than Gerry, that's more of Gerry!!!!!!Yummmmmmmmy, yum, yummmmmmmmmm!!!! And you wear what ever you feel comfy in when you go and have a Kahluha and cream on the rocks for Me!!!!(if you drink) Love to You Gal, AOGJoanna
  19. :droolpuddle: You and Me BOTH!, oh, okay anyone can join us, but they'll have to fight me for the seat in front of Gerry!!!!! My eyes are not totally covered!!!! God, Love that MAN! AOGJoanna
  20. Hey, "Scottish_lass_GB_style, I caught the inference, and Yes, please, let's hope He is a true Scot. That is one windy day I don't care if my stupid hair gets messed up!!! At one of His interviews He tells a story about wearing a kilt to His brother and/or sister's wedding and sits down in front of the congregation after He delivers the speech as the 'best man does' at our American weddings. But He sits like a MAN SITS!!! His Mum tries to tell Him to close His legs by putting Her hands together, and Gerry thinks she is trying to tell Him to pray!!! He finally gets the point! And of course He's laughing His head off while He's telling the story. I think we can all imagine what the wedding guests were thinking. (Me!!Wish I was in that front row!!!) I like seeing Gerry in a kilt because He has gorgeous knees as well as legs, and, and, and, and, OMG. I've gotta stop!! I'm going to have a heart attack!!! Love to All, AOGJoanna YYIW!
  21. Thank You so much for the great point of view. I Love It!! Gerry likes to eat and after all the hard work He did for "300", he deserves to eat a bit and gain a bit. But, when necessary, he will take it off. Let Him enjoy a bit of down time. I do agree about at least the pants. Ripped jeans would have been better, but nice jeans would have been better yet. Especially in defference to the location He was going to! And the boots go with any jeans. The Hat has to go, (in my opinion!) Gerry has a beautiful head and hair and hats are just not His forte'. I'd love to see Him in an "Indiana Jones" type fedora. The one in Nim' looks too beat up. Harrison Ford kept His pretty alright in the movies. But, Gerry has to have a hat that fits Him and His personality!! But, no matter what, He is still the EPITOME' of AWESOME in my eyes, heart and mind. (Not to mention dreams!!!) And YES, Dear Lord, Seumes is right, let's All pray for a KILTED day with looooottsss of WIND. :tasty: But only if we're around!!!! :droolpuddle: Love To All, AOGJoanna YYIW!!!!
  22. Well, now that I have finally stopped laughing over some of the adorable comments about the Man, ie: If Gerry was walking down the street in a loin cloth, OMG, I'd be more than cheering too!!!!! I'd be following!! I agree, This guy is a deadbeat as a man. Gerry looks good NO MATTER WHAT!!period.! The Man is the EPITOME OF AWESOME!!!!! and can do and wear what He wants. He works damn hard at His craft and should be allowed to wear what He wants, do what He wants, go where He wants, be with who He wants, love who He wants, have I left anything out? Gerry has earned the right to have His life the way He wants it to be. All He owes US, His fans, is a good job of acting, and I for one feel He fulfills that agenda quite nicely. I've seen lots of low grounders from some pretty famous actors of today, when they started out. Gerry can't always be on top. But LOOK OUT guys, He's coming up and fast!!!!!!!!!!!! Also. Gerry has boots on, not loafers. And you know what, I'll bet He's clean and comfortable! So there dimbulb guy! :barebum: Love to ALL You GALS AOGJoanna
  23. Xan GAL, I love your comments! Gerry does have something that affects you when you hear and watch Him. I don't know what it is, I have never had this feeling in my WHOLE 63 year life span. I like a lot of movie stars, but in my estimation, none can touch Gerry's ability to be SOMEONE!!! No matter what role He plays, you feel the character come to life and you are with the person the whole way. I love the remarks about Gerry in the POTO, people were actually cheering for the Phantom and not wanting Raoul to win the sword fight or get the girl, even though that's the way the story is supposed to go!!! But, as ALW said he wanted a man that presented "the right side of danger". Yep, that's Gerry alright!!! What a Man to be friends with!!!! But all the things everyone says are so true. WATCH OUT GUYS, HEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRRREEEEEE COMESSSSSSSS GERRY!!!!! AOGJOANNA
  24. http://www.gerardbutlergals.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/cleo.gif Bethy. I am requesting Hillary Swank for my card, if possible. Otherwise Elizabeth Taylor, or,Shakira. If I have to request anything else, let me know. And no hurry. Take your time, even if I have to wait 'till March, that's my Birthday, I don't mind. I'm not sure who has Liz, but someone told me once, a long time ago, that without my glasses on I looked like Liz Taylor and alot of other people have told me the same thing through the years. Wish I still looked like her, when we were both younger. But, I am 63 years young and getting younger!!!! Thanks Bethy! You're the greatest thing since sliced bread! Love and Hugs GAL, AOGJoanna YYIW!]
  25. You are so great at writing. I hope that is what you do for a living. I laughed so much at this cool thread. I'll bet you are great at parties!!! You and my daughter Suzy and her life long friend Lisa would have such a good time. And if, as they say, laughter makes you young, I'd be 20 years younger after an afternoon with you three and anybody else that wants to join in from the GALS! This is the greatest site I have ever seen and been involved with! You GALS totally Rock, AOGJoanna YYIW!
