  1. Gery could sing Last Night by Az Yet all night long while dancing. This song always brings to mind some stunning visuals. check it out of you can.
  2. Did you watch Shattered? I just did, and I did not like the story (sorry)
  3. Would the nearest cult member please pass the gerry juice!!
  4. I wasn't expecting the black suit with the white shirt (my favorite look). I nearly choked on my oatmeal when he came out. Awesome video. thanks a bunch!!
  5. I would take the dance, but only if it was just a dance. I love my husband very much, and fantasy or not, there's no one else I'd rather be totally miserable or insanely happy with. I don't think Gerry would take the dance with me though - I always have to lead!!!!
  6. Gerard Butler's School of Salsa Dancing - who's signing up for lessons????
  7. I agree about the accent. I've noticed it getting weaker as the clips I've been watching are newer. funny thing though. My husband likes to tease me by talking with a Scottish accent, and you know what? I've found myself saying certain words with that same accent; like "yew" instead of "you", "keds" not "kids", and so on. If Gerry's losing the accent, I think I'm gaining it. sorry GALS, I'll try and stop!!
  8. My state of fandom? Complicated at best. Like so many others here, I first came to know of GB through POTO. I actually saw 300 first, and thought it was an awesome movie, but I really didn't recognize the amazing man Gerry is at that time. I actually came across some clips of POTO on youtube, when I was searching for Hugh Jackman. (You can't blame a girl for 2 obsessions, can you?) When I saw that GB was singing in Phantom, I was like WHAT???? The guy that says "This is SPARTA" and kicks major booty is singing opera? This was interesting. I really didn't become obsessed though until a week after my initial discovery. My husband was out of town for work, and I was on my own for the week. The day before he came home. I was in a car accident. I wasn't hurt, but it was still pretty scary. I didn't know if my car would run, if I could get it fixed, or even how I was going to get to work or if I would lose my job because I didn't have transportation anymore. All of these thoughts were crashing down on me and I didn't know where to turn. Then I remembered my find on you tube. I spent that whole night watching everything I could with GB in it, including most of POTO. Watching those clips helped me to stop crying and focus on something else for a while. He helped me get through that first night, and many nights after that. I still turn to GB and this forum whenever I am having a tough time, which is pretty often lately (stupid economy). It's not like I ever even want to meet him, I just love to read about his views on life and listen to his voice; he's not bad on the eyes either. Sometimes a stranger can touch you in ways no one else can; and for me, GB helps me to forget about the bad things going on in my life right now, even if it's just for a few minutes. That and I do have some weird thing for movie stars who sing and dance: Gerry, Hugh Jackman, Ewan MacGregor, Gene Kelly (he's the one that started this obsession). And if I ever did meet Gerry, I would like to tell him thank you. Thank you for being the actor and man that you are; you've made your fans smile over and over and over again, and we can never repay you for that.
  9. Wow - He sure is learning a lot. I'm glad I'm not the only one whose husband has learned to like the Gerry pics, movies, sound bites, etc.... I even have my hubby starting to talk with a scottish accent!!!
  10. LOVE IT!! You guys are so awesome. I'm going through some really tough times right now & I don't know how long I'll be able to get on line, but while I still can, I'm on GALS looking for stuff to cheer me up. And you guys always deliver. It doesn't hurt that Gerry is gorgeous either. Thanks
  11. They say that "What doesn't kill us makes us stronger", so I believe it's true that we are the sum of what we have learned from our past experiences. I'm so glad Gerry chose to learn something valuable, and that he is a better and stronger person because of it... amen sister. I'm going through some really bad stuff right now, and I honestly don't know where I'll end up, but I just keep telling myself it can only make me stronger. That and I'm listening to POTO constantly to calm my nerves.
  12. soo funny!! Pics are super hot, but thankfully I can still type; for now!
  13. Just read your reply on working with a bunch of homosexuals, and I totally agree. I find myself in the presence of those who prefer members of the same team, and I am always on the lookout for real"macho macho" men. But I've been fooled before!!
  14. Yes please, more men like Gerry! Now does he have any suggestions on how to accomplish this fantastic feat??
  15. I think reporters need to report, not speculate. And good for GB if he's found someone to have fun with. Speaking from experience, sometimes I say something or doing something with my male friends that others may see as "flirting" or "inappropriate", (i.e. - hand on thigh), but those involved know that's just how I am and will always be. Nice comment though that Jen must be pregnant now. Very funny!! Just goes to show GB's oozing masculinity.
  16. I agree. My hubby went through some really bad stuff when he was younger, although I don't think he ever woke up and couldn't remember what happened. I'm glad that both of "my men" are in better areas of their lives now. For better or worse, those past experiences are part of who GB is today, and I'm just thankful that he made it through and learned from them, and can talk about it now.
  17. I think GB is doing exactly what an actor should be doing: ACTING! Think about it; if you really knew EVERYTHING about him, down to the very smallest, grossest detail, would you still find him as attractive and desirable as you do now? (those of you with husbands know what I'm talking about) He knows the media and public wouldn't be as fascinated with him if his life was an open book. Let's face it; part of the intrigue of "stars" is that we don't know all about them; it's the need to find out that keeps us coming back for more. I for one wouldn't have it any other way. Part of the fun of watching all these video clips, besides listening to the amazing voice, is trying to figure out what's true and what's a put on! Keep it up GB!! (and take that any way you want to)
  18. I love his answer! I wouldn't expect anything less from GB. Why should film makers worry about if movie goers will understand the story? I find that the movies that are "dummed down" are the ones that I can't even make it through a complete viewing, regardless of who is starring. (Sorry girls) I think the sexiest part of a man is his mind, and how he uses it. That's the first thing that attracted me to my husband; he's quicker than anyone I know. I think GB's answer sums up why we love him so; he is his own man, and darn those who don't understand or try to change that.
  19. I would have to say a cheesy pringle .... he's so cheesy and once you pop, you can't stop!!!
  20. I agree, but I still laughed my behind off. That's why I love Gerry; he says what's on his mind, and not what "people" think he should say. And for the record, I would totally agree to those terms too! (although I would ask first)
