  1. Kittypro, Thank you so much for the Lady Ghost link. That was fascinating. I was in Paris last summer. That info would have made our trip even more interesting. It would have been fun to look up Veronique's restaurant. We went by the Paris opera house on a bus tour. Does anyone know if that is the same opera house they are talking about?
  2. Wow, what a body. He's looking verra thin in the middle, but those arms are still from 300. Wonder what his look will be in LAC?
  3. I haven't read anywhere that Gerry has actually signed on the dotted line for this production. The way rumors get circulated in the press (even Variety) as the gospel truth makes me think we should wait until there is something concrete from Gerry's people to believe this one as well.
  4. We always knew he was the sexiest man alive. Now the rest of the world is finally figuring it out. (Is that a good or bad thing?!)
  5. What I think is so cool about Gerry being No. 10 on the IMBD listing is that it isn't just because we at Gals and Dot Net are looking him up. To attain that high a listing, it has to be a big contribution by members of the general public checking him out. I love that he bumped Tom Cruise out of the No. 10 spot.
  6. Wow. Regarding the people at the bday party: Our boy is certainly swimming with the big fishies now.
  7. Thanks so much for the Pogues video link. I wonder why the song wasn't included on the PSILY CD since it was such a memorable part of the movie? I want to get a Pogues CD. I've also wondered why they didn't include Gerry's singing? That was one reason I bought the CD in the first place.
  8. The dancing picture is to die for. My goodness, that is one fine man. How can one human being be so spectacular? I just love that we have a real MAN in the movies today we can 'admire.' Although they were well before my time, I have always loved to read books about and see pictures of Errol Flynn, Clark Gable, Tyrone Power and John Barrymore. Now, GB is even better. Old Hollywood glam in a new and better package. I'd better stop now or I won't sleep tonight.
  9. GBPhanatic: Now that I can finally post at Gals, one of the first things I want to do is tell you how much I have loved reading your poetry. My favorites are Resurrection and Eyes Like the Sea. . . they made me want to cry, but not in a bad way. Keep up the good work!!
  10. I think the Jennifer Aniston film sounds fine. While I, too, would like to see Gerry in more dramatic roles, I don't think he's quite yet at the point in his career where he can go off and risk making a film simply for the sake of the art. He has to pay the bills just like we do, and I imagine he has some pretty stiff ones to pay. While some of us would like to see him in the Burns film, we have to be realistic that the market with the general public just would not be that great. I think he knows what he's doing - building a name for himself with some good films that hopefully will appeal to the "masses." Anyway, LAC is certainly not a romcom. It sounds like he will have quite a chance to show some dramatic work with that one. I, for one, can't wait to see it. (By the way, have we all given up on Gerry ever playing Jamie Fraser - young, old or in between?)
  11. This is my first post with Gals, and I'm sorry I'm not all that computer literate to have all the great artsy stuff you all do. But I adore Gerry, and that's why I became a member. While I'm new as a member of Gals, I'm not new to the site or to Gerry. The first time I saw Mr. B was through a commercial for Attila all those years ago. I didn't know who he was, but to this day I remember thinking "That's the best looking man I have ever seen." I didn't think too much more about him, I didn't see Attila until this year when I bought the DVD. A couple of years after the Atilla commercial, I saw him on Craig Ferguson and was hooked. I didn't know what he was promoting, but kept trying to find out who the heck he was because I hadn't caught his name. No clue he was Atilla. Fast forward a number of years and I watched Timeline. I finally looked him up on line and it all came together. I've been a fanatic ever since. I never was a fan who became obsessed with any one character he played. While I liked them all, my interest has always been in Gerry the actor and man. I guess that's why none of the growing publicity and more knowledge about the man himself has bothered me. In fact, I love seeing him in real life and knowing what he's up to. While I hope history never repeats itself, I even found the incident with the pap interesting. I found myself thinking, "You go, Gerry." Funny how people see things in so many different ways. I see today, Gerry was listed by IMDB in the top 10 star list for 2008. He knocked Tom Cruise out of the number 10 spot. That sort of publicity and his high-profile film roles will continue to change the way he is covered in the press. So expect more idiotic postings by the handful of nuts who say ridiculous things about many celebrities on the internet. I have given up caring what the nuts say, I'm a Gerry fan and I intend to stay that way.
