  1. Thanks, you guys!! It was fun to do, but it's up there to represent all of us!! Love, Buff
  2. Thanks for the "heads up"! I just checked and it's playing at the $2.50 theater just down the road from me. It's also playing in Mathews, NC, a suburb of Charlotte, High Point, and Rock Hill SC. IMHO it should have opened here in the Bible Belt!!! Hugs, Buff
  3. Okay, gang, I called and the kind man who helped me said there is NO WAY to get the convention rate if you book online. He was kind enough to change our rate for the convention dates, which saved us a lot of dough. More to spend on auction goodies!!! Hugs, Buff
  4. Hol, I couldn't have completed my reservations at a better time. I am SO PUMPED!! Thanks GF! Buff
  5. I have no idea what I'll donate this year but it WON'T BE A CELTIC ARAN AFGHAN!!! That thing tried to take me down! Buff
  6. Suzie, I made our reservations today, using the link. The form didn't ask for the code (maybe it's in the hyperlink), but just to be safe, I put it in the Comments field. Leslie and I are staying for a week, so if you need any help, just let us know! Love, Buff
  7. Saw this just before I popped off and had to add my ! I am always stunned anew when I read an interview like this one. This man, who is handsome, sweet, funny, sexy, a great actor, etc. is so intelligent and articulate! I could listen to him answer questions all day because I can envision his brain operating at 200 mph at all times. Like my friend Leslie's screen name, I also "lovetheeloquence". Hugs, Buff
  8. Oh well. I have to add my . I'm not a fan of remakes; they are doing quite a few now to add the magic of CGI. However, often the reason one liked the original was because of the actors. As someone who has suffered from depression for decades, the day Tom Cruise said this was the day I swore I'd never again watch him in a film (any film, including one with Gerry): "When you talk about postpartum, you can take people today, women, and what you do is you use vitamins. There is a hormonal thing that is going on, scientifically, you can prove that. But when you talk about emotional, chemical imbalances in people, there is no science behind that. "You can use vitamins to help a woman through those things." Gee Dr. Cruise, I take fists full of vitamins daily, so I wonder why I still need antidepressants? Hugs, Buff
  9. Happy Birthday to a gifted actor and great man. I hope you have even more fun than you did last year! Burma Powell Winston-Salem, NC
  10. Hi Spot , Done!! Love, Buffy
  11. Okay, that's it. Will somebody please shoot me and put me out of my misery 'cause I'm dying here.
  12. In the video Gerry sounded to me like he had some kind of URI, which isn't surprising considering all of the glad-handing he is required to do and the fact that he is smoking. As far as his weight, it seems only days ago we were salivating over pictures of him in Ischia, etc. If he isn't smiling it's probably because he doesn't feel well and his tolerance for the paps no doubt wears thin unless he's in great health. IMHO if he took his clothes off and got his hair styled he'd look good enough to eat, with a spoon, right on the spot.
  13. Thanks, Barb!! Glad to see him talking to that lovely, tall blonde. I'm sure he gets lonely.
  14. My DVD player (Sony) won't play region free. I didn't know about hack codes, so I bought DVDFab Passkey, which will convert them on the fly in my computer, but then I have to burn DVDs to watch them on the television. I could probably hook the 'puter to the TV via HDMI, but I'm too lazy. Hugs, Buff:kiss:
  15. Well put, Giny! I wouldn't miss it for the world and am already looking forward to seeing all me girlies in 2012.
  16. Wow! That's positively amazing, especially in this economy.
  17. Hey Girlies!! Been resting wrist and shoulder and learning Photoshop (fun!) so I haven't been on for a bit. I loved these photos, especially the idea of him laying flat on his back. I could tell you what I'd do, but it would be so I'll save it and amble on over there later. Thanks, B, for these photos, I love candid scenes so long as they aren't invading his privacy. Hugs, Buff
  18. Hey me girlies In a way, seeing him smoking reminds me that he has a vulnerable side. While I hope he quits again, as he's said he's just a man. I fell in love with his looks, then his talent, then his personality and although I wish I could caution him, the fact is he has no idea who in the world I am!! Therefore, my opinion means nothing and I'm never going to abandon my feelings for him, ever, no matter what he does. I have a life-long condition called Gals. Love you girlies and GJB, Buff
  19. I think sometimes those who have quit have one occasionally just to feel like they're getting away with something. I'm guessing if he really was "smoking again" the paps would have caught him long before now. As an aside, while I love all the new photos (especially those from the beach), I really wish they'd leave him alone for a while. I know it "goes with the territory", but I just feel bad for him the way they record his every move. Hugs, Buff
  20. I just joined last October, so I really enjoyed the trip into the past. I'm so happy to be a part of this group. A big hug and resounding "Thank You" to all who make this possible.
  21. Maybe it's the nicotine that's been keeping him going so hard. Ciggies today are much stronger than in the "old days". They do ruin your health and make you age much faster, so I hope it's temporary.
  22. Thanks, Moira!! I hope, hope, hope, this is Gerry's biggest year ever!
  23. Crap, where was I when the friskiness was going on???? He's a cutie pie for sure! He's cute in the photos, but the real deal was something else!
