  1. GERRY!!!! Have a Wonderful Day God Bless michelle
  2. Thanks. Always nice to see new photos of Gerry. But, Oh, those blue shoes are killing me! He is such a typical guy who gets new shoes, but they have no clue they don't go well with green cargo pants. Can't help but wonder what that meeting was about. Those gentlemen looked "all" business to me.
  3. Exciting news and this sounds like it could turn into a possible franchise. I guess now we wait for a co-star and a filming start date. Here is the link to the video game site for Kane & Lynch and Kane's profile. Interesting news the character of Kane is British. Maybe he can be Scottish LOL http://www.kane-lynch.com/Kane%27sProfile.html
  4. I was thinking maybe Gerry is doing some prep work for a film he was attached to in 2012 - Manhunt. This article on Oct 8th reports that the movie has a new director but they were not sure if Gerry was still involved. http://www.tracking-board.com/tb-exclusive-nick-cassavetes-is-leading-a-manhunt/ There was also a facebook post from the owner of the hotel Gerry was staying at this park noting he was sorry Gerry didn't get to see a black bear and he said he could send him a photo. Maybe it is just wishful thinking on my part that he could be doing some prep work to play the bear hunter for this movie. It would be great if this would film before Gods of Egypt which is slated for early 2014.
  5. Thanks for posting the photos. I have to say Gerry needs to get a little California sun because he is looking so pale in all of these recent photos where he is walking. Or the photographers need to adjust their camera speed LOL I wonder what the guy is up to???
  6. Good to see some movement on this movie and I hope Gerry is still attached. Gods of Egypt is scheduled to shoot early next year so I hope he won't have to exit due to conflict. I also hope he won't play the bad guy in this film because I hate to see him be the villain in two movies in a row.
  7. photos! Can you imagine walking past Gerry in NYC yesterday, that would be so fab.
  8. :claphands: Congratulations to the Jamaica Tallawahs! And how cool was that for Gerry! Thanks to all for posting the photos and videos. I never saw cricket played,Gerry has contributed to my sports knowledge LOL
  9. I think Gerry has found his second calling as a sports team owner. He enjoys everything he does I really admire that.
  10. Looks like Gerry is causing a lot of excitement with his appearance. I hope his team does well.
  11. This is really cool that it topped that list for 2 months! Next week the DVD is released I hope the sales are high!
  12. Any news if this happened or not? Today is August 4th so the shoot should be finishing up if they are on schedule. Wish we knew were he would be heading next.
  13. Thanks becozy for the heads-up to this forum. Can't wait to hear what this comedy short is going to be about. Hope when it is released we get to see it in the U.S.
  14. Gerry is looking a little tired or maybe it was that pesky flash in his face Perez Hilton had an article about those photos today and had some fun with Gerry's outfit - I wouldn't mind cleaning Ger-Bear's apparel either!
  15. This is exciting news, I wonder what Gerry wrote about the Phantom. The Amazon listing is for a hardcover book, I wonder if there will be a news stand edition also. michele
  16. Hi! I'm not an active poster on the forum and relatively new to the site so I hope you don't mind my input. I think the economy has been so bad for the past 4 years that it is hard for fans to do anything but buy a few tickets to Gerry's films. No family vacations right now so us so a tip to a fan convention would not be considered. And you do have to have deep pockets when any event is for charity also. I like the comment about having the convention for just friends getting together. And a note about the virtual convention. for those that cannot attend it was nice, but a few downsides are that could have the affect of removing the necessity to attend for some or it could actually discourage people from attending because you are out there on the internet especially if you are a shy person. I wish you success in finding the right formula, I know you will find it!
  17. Hi! I noticed it also that they smoothed out the rough edges of his voice. I actually think it plays better though, the bloggers were making fun of how he delivered the lines in that beginning scene so it is good. I am looking forward to this film, Gerry look so good in it. michelle
  18. A very high fashion shoot, interesting outfits but I can't understand why they didn't take or post a photo of Gerry and his killer smile!
  19. I so agree....those pants are a riot! Only Gerry could pull off that look and still look sexy!
  20. Hi! You're not nuts I think Gerry looks good. He looks rested and happy, and thankfully that stressed look he had while promote PFK is gone. Unfortunately, I noticed that there is a little hysteria out there regarding Gerry right now and I think that is feeding the reaction you listed. I must say that is a very interesting place to take a vacation.
  21. Sorry, but the box office report from the Numbers site and Box office Mojo still has the highest per theater gross actual numbers listed below. You can't just report that it was highest in the 4 theaters it played in that is not how it works - all of the per theater gross totals are compared nationally. As you can clearly see the movie Weekend is #1 at $27,245 per screen and that would translate into a tremendous box office win if it had the same total in 3300 theaters. This always happens with small indi films that open in one theater they get high numbers but they hardly ever duplicate those numbers as they expand. MGP did great and as they expand their per theater gross may do down but their total box office numbers will go up. Weekend Top 10 By Theater Gross MovieGrossTheatersPer Theater Total Gross Days 1 Weekend $27,245 1 $27,245 $27,245 3 2 The Man Nobody Knew: In Search of My Father, CIA Spymaster William Colby $15,411 1 $15,411 $15,411 3 3 Machine Gun Preacher $45,130 4 $11,283 $45,130 3 4 Pearl Jam Twenty $102,448 10 $10,245 $382,791 6 5 Limelight $9,529 1 $9,529 $9,529 3 6 The Lion King $21,929,332 2,330 $9,412 $390,014,907 6,312 7 Puncture $29,175 4 $7,294 $29,175 3 8 Moneyball $19,501,302 2,993 $6,516 $19,501,302 3 9 Dolphin Tale $19,152,401 3,507 $5,461 $19,152,401 3 10 The Black Power Mixtape: 1967-1975 $32,336 6 $5,389 $76,443 17 http://www.the-numbers.com/ scroll down to find chart
  22. Hi! Ladies I think you need to correct your headline on this story or delete it from the home page - MGP was #3 not #1 in per theater gross this weekend. Also your headline should have said that it was "per theater gross" and not Gross sales for the weekend After all of the actual numbers were submitted there were 2 films released in 1 theater each which had higher totals. Check out the final #'s - http://www.the-numbers.com/ MGP still did great but I think it is important to report this news accurately since it hurts MGP to have incorrect facts out on twitter and facebook. People have already been challenging this information since the press is out there with the correct ranking. michelle
  23. Articles on the film's casting have indicated that Jessica is playing Gerry's ex-wife and Uma is going to play a soccer mom - here's just one comment: "And for all you Gerard Butler fans, it looks like this genre-leaping Scotsman is looking to tackle the romantic-comedy once again in the so-called "soccer comedy" Playing the Field, which co-stars Jessica Biel and Uma Thurman. Butler stars as a former pro soccer player who finds himself dodging romantic advances from soccer moms after he agrees to coach his son's youth team in an attempt to bond with the boy. Biel will play Butler's ex, while Thurman will be a soccer mom. Butler will be producing the film, which was scripted by Robbie Fox (So I Married and Axe Murderer, In the Arm Now) and will be directed by Gabriele Muccino (The Pursuit of Happyness, Seven Pounds.) If you're puzzled by this configuration, you're note alone. (Zany comedy writer teamed with schmaltzy drama director?) But here's hoping with Butler in charge, he'll finally get a comedy deserving of his charisma. (Variety)" I don't really think Jessica Biel is a comedic actress like Jennifer Aniston and Katherine Heigl so picking her in this role gives me hope that the movie is going to have a dramatic focus and not just a zany comedy like The Ugly Truth. I also hope Jessica can be seen as maternal and not just a sexy ex since I think that will be the key to her being a good casting choice. I think Uma is good at comedy and is a good pick. On IMDb the movie is described as a Comedy | Drama | Sport I also have high hopes that "with Butler in charge, he'll finally get a comedy deserving of his charisma" michelle
  24. and I'm thinking they must had enough time to make editing changes if they are notifying those who were part of the original audience from that first viewing to attend. I hope it will be possible for people to attend again, I think the feed-back would be very important at this stage. Maybe we will hear some new twitter posts on this screening. michelle
  25. Musik - Thanks so much for your honest review of the screening. When they announced this film I knew his calling to faith would be the part of Sam's story that would be the hardest sell and would extract the response you have had-- a change could not happen that fast. But, that is Sam's story. And that is the way it does happen for alcoholics and drug addicts which Sam was, they have that "moment" that "instant" revelation that helps them beat addiction. I think Sam Childers story is going to be a hard sell, there will be those who will question his motives especially his calling to religion. And I think the film is going to attract a lot of detractors especially those who do not condone violence of any kind for any reason. But, I really think in the end all of these reasons and the questions it raises will be what make this a good movie and not just a made for TV biography film. I don't think "The crux of a film is to convince you to believe" may necessarily what the director may be going for, he may want people to leave the theater questioning but also appreciating Sam.
