  2. Oh that's a good song Those around during the early days of GALS, might remember our old flash intro that was animated with that song. It was the first thing I ever created for the site. So whenever i hear it, i automatically think of GALS I gotta find that animation.
  3. Hey there Great pic! It's from a series from the magazine Movie Line way back in July 2003. Here's a link to the rest of the pics in our gallery: http://www.gbgalsgallery.com/v/magazines/g...l/movieline703/ Stef
  4. please let me know if this is old news - i just found it and couldn't find it elsewhere on the site. http://www.fashionweekdaily.com/news/fulls...iNewsid=6610476 Vogue editor to attend Milan Men's Fashion Week Thursday, May 29, 2008 (NEW YORK) First, Anna Wintour made waves by appearing at London Fashion Week a few seasons back. Now the influential Vogue editor will attend the upcoming Milan Men's Fashion Week, scheduled to run from June 21 to 25. A Vogue spokesman confirmed that this will be Wintour's inaugural trip to Milan for the men's shows, several of which she will take in alongside the Men's Vogue team headed by Jay Fielden. Wintour's primary reason to hit Milan is a soiree Vogue Italia's Franca Sozzani is throwing to celebrate her magazine's 40th anniversary. While in town, Wintour will make a cameo at an intimate Men's Vogue event hosted in honor of actor Gerard Butler. The Vogue spokesman said that Wintour is not planning to attend the Paris men's shows. She will, however, be in the City of Lights for the couture collections, which run June 30 to July 3.
  5. the quality isn't great so i won't put it in the gallery but i caught a quick cap of the vid
  6. You can see G a few times in the video of the show - http://www.dolcegabbana.com/dg/fashion-sho...an/video_runway just look for Ms. Wintour's green dress on the right side of the runway, and he's to her right. and it's definitely not a hardship to watch the vid, especially model #2
  7. Thanks to all that have sent me their pics so far! Keep 'em coming ladies - I personally love seeing the pics as I wasn't able to make it to Vegas this year. Looks like you all had such a good time! Stef

  11. you all should hold onto your hats then - the pics I'm about to post courtesy of a wonderful gallery contributor - Lorna - will knock your socks off recognize these? LOL and they're from the same photoshoot!
  12. You are so sweet swannie! one of my favorite memories last year was seeing you on friday night and us rushing to each other for a big hug i just started a new job a few weeks ago and i have a wedding to plan (we finally set a date for october 4th) so i need to keep all of my attention on these 2 things. i'm going to help barb as much as i can with the virtual con. i completely understand your feelings about carry-on only. to me though it's more stressful to think that my luggage might get lost and i won't have my stuff than taking everything possible. i'd rather have everything with me at all times than it being someplace i can't see LOL i never wore a formal gown at the cons so it worked for me. it might not have worked this year though if i was going hehe
  13. i won't be travelling this year (which is preferable as i don't travel well though i will definitely miss you gals) so i don't have much to contribute for these recent troubles but i thought i'd share some things that helped me the past few years. I was a pretty much an air travel virgin until last year when i made 3 trips mostly by myself (which was a major thing for me to do). My sister travels for her job as a meeting planner so she gave me some tips to avoid some hassles. If possible - don't check any bags. All of the trips i made, i never checked a bag. I took a carry-on bag on wheels and my backpack (which was my "purse" LOL). Sure it was hard trying to figure out what to bring and what to leave out, but it was so nice not having to worry about checked luggage. My sis mails items to her hotel ahead of time also if she needs extra things. So you could do that if you need extras. My own personal tip is to watch out for those 1 mph "moving sidewalks" LOL During a very eventful (not in a good way) trip to houston last year, i managed to actually fall at the end of one of those (i know i know, who does this?) and I cut my knee pretty badly. I had to be ambulanced to the ER and get 22 stitches to take care of the gash. it was an absolute nightmare - thank goodness i had dr. em and jenni there to take care of me. So that's it i guess - try to avoid checked luggage, arrive early, and don't wear 3 inch wedge sandals (if you're not a heel wearer and are VERY clumsy) while walking on the moving sidewalk.
  14. Stef, thanks! I went into "Options" again and it actually shows info re: how to subscribe to a topic while logged in from work - duh!! I think this is probably a good idea since I'd have to be in and out of my Control Panel on a daily basis to change email addresses ACK! Barb You're very welcome since i'm an admin, i receive email notifications whenever a new topic is posted anywhere, but i don't if i'm logged in so I had no idea about the subscription options myself hehe so i learned something new too. thanks!
  15. You will only receive subscribed topic emails if you are logged out from the forum. So make sure you are logged out if you want to receive them. If you want to change the email address these are sent to, go to your "Control Panel" and then "Change email address" Hugs, Stef

  17. UPDATE: Evil Twin Productions was changed to G-BASE Productions in 2013. See info in last post here http://www.variety.com/article/VR111798184...yId=13&cs=1 First film will be Wimmer's 'Law Abiding Citizen' By TATIANA SIEGEL Gerard Butler has launched the production shingle Evil Twins with his longtime manager, Alan Siegel. Their first project is the psychological thriller "Law Abiding Citizen," which the duo are producing for Mark Gill, Neil Sacker and Robert Katz's the Film Department. Butler will star as a successful assistant D.A. who finds himself at the center of a vigilante plot hatched by a traumatized victim of the legal system. Kurt Wimmer ("The Thomas Crown Affair") wrote the screenplay. Warp Films' Lucas Foster and Wimmer are also producing. Shooting will begin in the summer. Butler and Siegel, who have worked together for 11 years, have several projects in development at Evil Twins. They will produce "Hanging Tale," penned by Danny Rubin, with Lightstorm Entertainment; and "Teacher Man," based on Frank McCourt's novel. Ronald Bass is adapting as well as producing; Howard and Karen Baldwinalso produce. "We're thrilled at the opportunity that Gerry's career has given us to make our own films," Siegel said. Danielle Robinson has been named director of development for the banner. Butler, who starred in "300" and "P.S. I Love You," will soon begin production on romantic comedy "The Ugly Truth," opposite Katherine Heigl. He recently wrapped the futuristic action film "Game." He next appears in "Nim's Island" and Guy Ritchie's "RocknRolla."

  20. http://www.firstshowing.net/2008/02/07/the...movies-of-2008/ by Alex Billington In the immortal words of Dane Cook, "Where's the van?! The van was supposed to be here!" Or as he better put it, "Any guy here would rather be part of a heist." That couldn't be more true. What self-righteous movie-fanatic male doesn't want to be part of a heist? But unfortunately if none of your friends are skilled criminals, you'll have to resort to watching heist movies like the rest of us. There is no Ocean's Thirteen this year, but there is a line-up of six glorious heist movies that will each provide their own amazing experience. If you're ready to get in on the plan, then let's take a look at 2008's heist movies. The definition of heist, according to Dictionary.com, is "to take unlawfully, esp. in a robbery or holdup." So, almost anything where a robbery takes place is a heist. But if you consider at the Hollywood definition, it usually involves some elaborate plan and a team of individuals each with their own set of skills. Whether it's Heat or the Ocean's films or even The Italian Job, every guy has a favorite heist movie in his collection. This year there are six new additions that should earn a place in your collection, too. ... RocknRolla Director: Guy Ritchie | Starring: Gerard Butler, Thandie Newton, Chris "Ludacris" Bridges, Jeremy Piven, Idris Elba, Tom Wilkinson Release Date: October 3rd The Con: London's criminal underworld takes notice of a Russian mobster's shady land deal, a scam that puts millions of dollars up for grabs. Guy Ritchie brought us, arguably, the greatest heist movie in history, Snatch in 2000, and has yet to follow it up with a comparable flick. Eight years later, Ritchie finally returns to his roots and has written and directed another London mob movie that involves numerous heists. I wouldn't be lying if I were to tell you that this is probably the one British heist movie that I'm most excited for in 2008. I love Guy Ritchie's movies and am expecting nothing but brilliant British entertainment with RocknRolla. His movies aren't entirely about the heist, at least not out in front, and yet that's why they're able to trick you in the end. I have full confidence in Guy Ritchie and really hope that RocknRolla is another classic. ... The world just wouldn't be the same place without heist movies! Thankfully this year's line-up looks like it will deliver. Although six is a bit skimpy, none of these look like they're forgettable films, meaning out of six we should have at least one really good heist movie and five semi-good heist movies by the end of the year. And the line-up of lead actors includes Jason Statham, Jim Sturgess, Michael Caine, Ewan McGregor, Gerard Butler, and Pierce Brosnan, a powerhouse set of some fine actors. Whether 2008 goes down as an unforgettable year or not, at least we'll see some quality heists go down around the world.
  21. http://justjared.buzznet.com/2008/02/02/ge...-is-villa-sexy/ Gerard Butler struts his sexy self into Villa nightclub in Los Angeles on Friday. The 38-year-old Scottish stud can next be seen in Nim’s Island, which hits theaters on Friday, April 4th. It was recently announced that Gerry will be starring alongside Katherine Heigl in the romantic comedy The Ugly Truth, out 2009. Synopsis: A cute but chauvinistic on-air TV stud (Butler) enlists his perfect-but-somehow-still-single producer (Heigl) to jump through hoops in the real dating world, thus hopefully proving all his theories about love are right on.
