As you may know, we've spent the last two years planning to produce a full-on celebratory convention for our TENTH YEAR of gathering. Sadly, the financial demands of doing so have, once again, proven infeasible. While it has been very disappointing to accept that we will not be hosting a "convention," we want to continue to provide the opportunity for friends and FANmily to gather for the purpose of renewing personal friendships and enjoying much-needed "me" time all while partaking of general overall GERRY GOODNESS! RESERVATION METHOD Each individual is responsible for making his/her own reservations with Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino. Reservations may be made through our Reservations Department or through the provided online web link by Wed, Jul 22, 2015. To avoid a $15 call center processing fee, please instruct your group to use the web link when possible. A deposit (first nights room and tax) is required at the time of registration, the remaining night’s room and tax will be due at check in. There is a 72 hour cancellation policy for individual reservations. A full refund is provided for any reservation cancelled 72 hours prior to arrival. All no-shows will forfeit the deposit. Any reservations made after the cut-off date are subject to availability and will be added at the current public rate. All room rates contained within this agreement are subject to applicable Occupancy Room Tax, currently (12.0%) and a $ 25.00 Resort Fee per room, per night (also taxed at 12.0%). Resort Fees will include daily internet (for two devices), fitness center access (for two guests) and all local calls. Additional Person Charge (beyond double occupancy) Rates are based on one or two persons per room. Any additional person will be charged a fee. Additional person charges will begin to apply with the third person occupying the room which will be $ 30.00 Fee per person, per night. Maximum Occupancy in one room is: four (4). AGE REQUIREMENT The age requirement to reserve and check into a room is 21 years of age or older. Furthermore, guests under the age of 21 will not be permitted to occupy a room without the presence of an adult age 21 or older. CHECK-IN/CHECK-OUT Check-in time is 4:00pm; Check-out time is 11:00am. An early check-in fee may apply at the front desk. Upon check-in each guest will be responsible for showing valid ID and providing payment for any outstanding balance. Total Experiences/Caesars Entertainment Exclusive VIP Services Once your group has passed the registration deadline and has confirmed 5 or more rooms at Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino you will receive our exclusive Total Experiences VIP services. At that point I can assist you plan wonderful activities such as nightlife, dining, golf, show and transportation reservations at any Caesars Entertainment property. Total Rewards Card Be sure to sign up for our Total Rewards program when you book. You will earn points for every dollar you spend at any of our properties nationwide. You can pick up your Total Rewards membership card when you arrive on property at the Total Rewards counter. Always remember to show your Total Rewards card wherever you go in our properties to earn points for money you spend. We will link your Total Rewards account to your room adding convenience to charge back to your room to earn every point you deserve. Points=Rewards so everyone comes out a winner! Now... for the REALLY GOOD PART. (No, not "Gerry will be there" good, but as close as we can get to it!) WE PROUDLY PRESENT OUR VENUE FOR 2015 RIO'S BIG KAHUNA SUITE As the name suggests, it's BIG! Allow me to show ye around... There's a roomy living room for parlor games: A nice SPACIOUS bedroom for viewing Gerry movies and eating junk food: It's located on the roof: I've saved the best for last. Have you figured it out? I CAN'T STAND TEASING ANY LONGER! THE BALCONY HAS A POOL!! Here's a crappy, but informative, youtube video. It gets good about 1:11. :-) For those unfamiliar, last year's party was described as: BYOB Penthouse & Pajama Party celebrating Gerard Butler's life, career and "person" Party starts about 4p on Friday, AUGUST 21, and ends at check-out on Sunday, AUGUST 23. Be prepared for all sorts of "Gerry Games" (e.g., Pin the Pie on the Gerry, GINGO (Gerry Bingo), G-Twister, ETC.), TVs full of Gerry goodness, pizza, LOTS of nibblies (aka "finger" food suitable for movie watching and gigglegasms) There will be a break in the action for a field trip to The Shade Tree on Saturday afternoon. Fun, friendship and lusting to resume soon thereafter. If you're not interested in going to TST, there is absolutely NO pressure to go. For those staying behind, you'll be in charge of keeping the DVDs running and M&M bowls filled. Plans currently include raffle baskets for "light fundraising" on behalf of TST and Angels of East Africa. The emphasis is on LIGHT. As last year's party goers can attest, the party will not revolve around fundraising, but will (hopefully) enhance the fun. The baskets are an offering to those who like this aspect of the "convention" and who enjoy chances to win Gerry loot. Alcon Entertainment has cast the Johnny Utah to Gerard Butler‘s Bodhi in the upcoming Point Break remake. Luke Bracey (G.I. Joe: Retaliation) will star opposite Butler in the updated of Kathryn Bigelow’s 1991 bro-action classic, which is being directed by Invincible‘s Ericson Core. Kurt Wimmer (Salt, Total Recall) scripted the pic which sees the original Keanu Reeves-Patrick Swayze starrer updated from a surfer-scene setting to the world of extreme sports. Aussie actor Bracey played Cobra Commander last year in G.I. Joe: Retaliation and stars in the upcoming Nicholas Sparks adaptation The Best Of Me. Point Break is produced by Alcon’s Andrew Kosove and Broderick Johnson alongside John Baldecchi, Taylor and Kurt Wimmer. RGM Media’s Devesh Chetty and Marloss Entertainment’s John McMurrick will executive produce. Filming begins this summer. Bracey is repped by CAA, ROAR and Mark Morrissey & Associates. Source
