Gerry Addicted Lust Syndrome (GALS) continued

Recommended Posts

WELCOME to the 13th floor of the 2nd highrise of our clinic! We only have 56 floors to go to reach 69 again!

OK, there is so much news and so many incredible new pictures, videos, sound bites, interviews, which will continue on for the next few weeks, maybe even months, as 300 begins its juggernaut of promotion!! One asked Gerry what it felt like to ALMOST be a sex symbol - well around here he is ALREADY a sex symbol, and so much more, of course!! But then isn't it all those facets of him that make him so sexy? So, just continue as you have been, discussing all this great new wealth of media blitz that we have to gorge ourselves on. The feasting has begun!!

AND NOW.... the original thread.

Being the compassionate person that I am, I can recognize a cry for help when I see one. Having said that, I have decided to start a new support group for those of us with Gerry Addicted Lust Syndrome – from now on, all with Gerry Addicted Lust Syndrome with be known as GALS.

This group is open to all GALS and non-GALS alike who believe they are in serious need of support and guidance as they realize how serious their addiction has become. This is not a support group which advocates traditional intervention, as the failure rate would be astronomical, but merely a group whom you can turn to who share in your addictions or withdrawals, whichever the case may be. Some of the signs that you have GALS include, but are not limited to:

1. You buy every magazine on the rack looking for photos or articles of Gerry and start to get the jitters when there has been no sign of him for weeks.

2. You drive 500 miles to see a Gerry movie.

3. Your significant other (or just someone you're dating) gives you stark reminders they are SOOOO NOT Gerry.

4. Co-workers, friends and/or family start teasing you for your addiction – people can be so cruel...

5. You become addicted to caffeine because you can’t pull yourself away from GALS...."'cause just MAYBE he'll be on Chat tonight."

6. You obsess with much glee, "Gerry has a computer...and he knows how to use it!!!!"

7. You find yourself asking aloud, "Did he REALLY mean what he said about the 3:00 a.m. thing and does he REALLY wear a size 11 shoe?" Then smile broadly.

8. You catch yourself speaking in a Scottish accent for no apparent reason.

9. You change the decor in your bathroom to accommodate your new yellow towels.

10. The "G-Spot" takes on a whole new meaning.

11. You spend days wondering why a Scot would be named "Andre."

12. You buy “Mrs. Brown” just for the skinny-dipping scene and play that one scene in slow mo and super slow mo, over and over and over again. (Okay, so maybe that was just me.) :D

13. You have a picture of Gerry in your wallet, and refer to him as “your man, Gerry.”

14. You spend your hard-earned cash assigned for other “non-essential” items (phone bill, power bill, etc.) on essential Gerry related items.

15. You go shopping for your “real-life” man and finding yourself thinking, “OMG!!! Gerry would look so :censored: hot in that!!!

16. You have to buy a new hard drive to accommodate all your pics and videos of Gerry.

17. You search through a couple hundred $5.50 DVDs at Wal-Mart because an employee said Dracula 2K might be there.

18. You can't possibly walk past Starbucks without dreaming that maybe... *sighs*

19. You refer to the Gerry wallpaper on your computer as your “happy place.”

20. While looking up at the clouds you SWEAR there's a cloud in the shape of a "G"...funny thing is, the GAL next to you sees the same thing!!!

21. Multiples (Gerrygasms) are an every day occurrence!!!

This list will continue to grow as you tell me your addictions...

Below is a very simple 10-step program to help foster our addiction.

1. You must admit you have GALS. This is so important to further your addiction. Yes, this support group wants to nourish your addiction, not starve it. We are here for you.

2. Come to believe the Great and Powerful Gerry is greater than ourselves and only our visions and/or fantasies can keep us addicted. To truly become addicted, however, one must at one time in ones life made the Gerry Mecca Journey (GMJ) and meet him in person.

3. Make a decision to turn our will and lives over to our addiction to Gerry.

4. Make a searching and fearless immoral inventory of our fantasies of Gerry.

5. Lend your support to those who have GALS, but are yet unable to admit it.

6. Watch every movie (more than once) in which Gerry has a role. To be truly addicted, you must develop a love of all Gerry genres (yes, this includes “Tale of the Mummy” and “Dracula 2000”).

7. Frequently quote lines from Gerry films. Memorize them, use them, replace old phrases with new Gerry lines. This will prove to all your serious commitment to your addiction.

8. Know Gerry’s biography better than you know your own. True GALS will know all Gerry’s trivia. Study it, soak it in, become one with Gerry's biography.

9. Give generously (money folks) to the website which has fostered your addictions and allowed your fantasies to take flight.

10. Convert all who are convertible to this syndrome. This is the true mark of GALS. Do not judge - for your next recruit may be your boss!

As this is a relatively new Syndrome, the above guidelines are subject to editing, amending or scrapping all together as we GALS deem necessary.

The first step to true addiction is to admit you have GALS!! I will begin the group.

"My name is Dr. Em and I have GALS."

All are welcome to join in our group. GALS, we must not suffer in silence!!! We now have a voice!!! Let it be heard!

*Disclaimer: We GALS appreciate not only Gerry’s royal hotness for which there is no rival, we indeed, also recognize his abundance of talent, soul, passion, spirit, sense of style and humor, sincerity...can I stop now? Our addictions are all-encompassing and we embrace Gerry EVERY WHICH WAY WE CAN!!!*

To Cleobethra for our “Warning Label.”

Howdy...

Yeah, anyone who has been to Gerry's fan sites know that he is a super sex symbol.

Where did I find that quote, that he has more female fans than the Rolling Stones?

I'll be back with that quote...

Sue you beat me! Congrats on the newest member of your family!

That little blog-article:

http://www.canmag.com/nw/6764-300-movie-clips

Two words, Gerard Butler. The actor who has a female following larger than The Rolling Stones plays King Leonidas, the main dude who you have probably heard shout "We are Sparta!" a thousand times by now.

Yeah, baby! I'd be more impressed with a comparision with Brad Pitt or Justin Timberlake. But I don't care for either.

Well-- to quote Queen Bethy "There Ain't No other Man!" Too bad--I wish there were more out there with Gerry's Charm & Appeal--but there ain't. So I know I'm cursed----it's a good thing I'm single--- & loving it! Oh--and that wonderful compliment he gave Lena in one of his interviews I read today---I can't remember which one-- but it mentioned her classic beauty & how she can really hang with the guys--& he loves that kind of woman! Yeah! I love that kind of man!

I just love everything about Gerry! :inlove: He's the most beautiful man I've ever seen, and he's funny, and smart, and I could just go on forever! It's been two years since I first noticed him in POTO and I've still got it bad! :ohbaby2: :mouthmaulme: :igotgals: If there's a cure, I don't want it!

Hey-I missed you guys yesterday-I had parent-teacher conferences and got home late!

I'm busy turning more ladies on to our Gerry with my Men's Health mag, and I've got a bunch of other teachers who haven't yet "discovered" him coming with me to see 300 as soon as its out! It was easy as soon as they saw his abs! YES-he IS already a sex symbol!

Cute story:

Today, three of my 6th grade girls who know how I adore Phantom (but don't know about my Gerry obsession, of course) brought me POTO pictures they printed out from the internet and sang me "Music of the Night" as a late valentine's present. It was so adorable. One is a huge POTO fan, but another hadn't seen it until yesterday. She was gushing over "the cute phantom" and how she kept rewinding all the Gerry parts! Future GALS, I'd say!!

Quick brag...my daughter won the school's science fair with her global warming project! woo hoo!

Sue...

Congratulations!!! That is just such great news!!!!

I have a 9 year old daughter, the most girlie-girl you've ever seen- loves Gerry BTW, has pics of him hanging in her locker at school (can't start them too early in my book!) and a 2 year old son. All boy from the word go. It is amazing! He is also a Gerry fan...will not 'allow' any other music in the car except the POTO soundtrack. My husband HATES that!!!! heee But, he has seen my Men's Health mag lying around (well, following me from room to room, actually, as I can't bear to leave it behind) and just keeps pointing to Gerry and saying "Leo". Raising them right I think!!!!

Have a lovely evening everyone!

Isabella - what a sweet valentine. :mopboyerik: Congratulations on your daughter's win.

Elissa - Good to see you!

All right, have fun in chat tonight, gals. Sorry I won't be able to join you.

YAHOO!! A new floor! OMG how easy is this... to talk about Gerry being a SEX symbol! Gerry exudes Sex with a capital X!!!!! My grandson came over Valentines day and asked what he could do different for his girlfriend and we decided on a nice bottle of Champagne (which I had on hand ) two very nice crystal flutes...Mine.... some really nice candles and a romantic dinner for two! My reason for sharing this with you guys is because..... at the end of the evening around 11pm he came back over to introduce his girlfriend to us and she wanted to thank me for the champagne and everything else. As we were talking he went over to where I keep my special DVD movies and of course I'm speaking of my Gerry movies and said to his girlfriend, this is the guy I was telling you about...her special guy... He picked up POTO and was showing it to her. She looked over at me and kind of winked and said...Oh THAT GUY....I know what you mean! My Grandson looked surprised and said oh no you like him too? She just laughed and said YEEAAH! Anyway, he asked me if he could borrow one of his movies that they could watch to top off the night. I think I have a casanova on my hands cause he took me aside and asked if any of the movies were romantic and I of course gave him Timeline. I knew he would like the action parts and she would looove the romantic parts. She already saw POTO... I can't believe I let my Gerry movie out the door without a promissary note from him now that I think about it. I love him Dearly but he's not real good at returning things! UH OH...

Isabella, hi Sweetie, haven't seen you in a while. Great news about your Daughter. Sounds like she takes after Mom in the academic department... Do you tutor cause I could use some help with my spelling. I don't know why, I used to be pretty good at it. Guess it's the old age thing once again... Anyway, keep up the good job at introducing your co-workers to the Worlds sexiest man!! Actually they should end up thanking you for it!

Since I was already here today(no I wasn't I forgot this is an all new floor) I guess I've gushed enough about Gerrys sexual Prowness...NEVER!

(((HUGS)))Fran

No... I'll still post it here... but my new site is real purty, and a quiet sort of place for reading. Eventually, I may stop posting chapters here on GALS, just to save myself the extra work... but for now, it will be available here as well.

Mousie, I hope you are feeling better.

*Enters SC, holding chin tenderly*

Sorry ladies, but I keep tripping over my lower lip as it drags on the floor from the stunder (short for "stunned wonder" :tasty: ) that has hit me with the appearance of these new pics! Just when you think the man can't possibly look any more gorgeous, he ups and does it again! Is there something different? I mean, he ALWAYS look amazing, but in the press conference photos he seems softer, refreshed, rested...not sure what it is...maybe the lighting? Whatever it is, I'm not sure my heart can stand too much more...but I'm certainly willing to give it a try! :tasty: :spontaneous: :drool1:

Those photos from the US press conference last Friday are the most amazing I've ever seen - his eyes are captured in them like never before. These are now my new favorite Gerry pix and Mr. Gerry Wonderful is getting a new face tonight (even if he does rarely get out, I still see him sitting next to my computer desk at home).

He is staring at me from my computer screen, full life-size....... OH My..... You could just sink into those eyes and that beautiful bow shaped mouth.....

No.... gotta stop, we are on water restrictions and the cold showers are getting too much LOL

I agree, the lastest batch of photo's really reflect Gerry as he is in the flesh. So nice too that more Tarts are getting to see him around these days. It's been so sparse while he was filming.

Okay, now I have to go back downstairs for the 2nd half of the footy - our rugby team is playing one of their arch-rivals, the Queensland reds. Go the Brumbies.

Hugs to all

Boy, I agree 100%!! In fact, I too have been in a similar state of stunder (love it!) after viewing them. I had really begun to worry about our hero over the last several months. To me, he looked tired and a bit ragged around the edges (which is not to say he didn't have plenty of REASON to look both of those). It is positively wonderful to see him looking this good again. Refreshed, rested, normal hair color, (great hair length, too...pairfection!), sparkling eyes and terrific smile. (If a gal glowed like that, we'd say she was pregnant!) Really, these photos are just knee-weakening!

*hobbles off shakily, due to said weak knees, to fix another cuppa tea...we finally had our first freeze in 4 years this morning, and I'm going to sit by the fire)

Swan and all picture posters, thank you for the wonderful wake up this morning! :hug99:'s

My favorite pic from Berlin is this lovely Posted Image ! This is the Gerry I would love to talk with for a couple of hours over cups of Strabucks coffee!!!! :spontaneous: *Gwad, the sexiest man alive, and all I really want to do is to sit and talk, really talk, over coffee.*

Oh, Beachie...

You are not alone!! That is my ULTIMATE Gerry fantasy...just to sit and listen to him talk for hours (as I can imagine he could EASILY do!) But, if he wanted to do it naked, well who am I to stop him from doing what he wants??!!!!

I was drooling over all these new pics as well, and I don't think he has looked this good in a loooonnnngggg time. Has anyone noticed that he is wearing alot of grey lately? Do you think he realizes how that makes his eyes just really stand out? *sigh*

Help! GALS,

Have you ever had a nightmare, that even after being awake from it for an hour or so, you still can't shake it?

Well that's me this morning. I actually woke up crying, the dream hit me so hard.

I dreamed that my dearest love, my husband was beginning to show signs of Alzheimer's.... and throughout the course of the dream, the symptoms worsened. I tried to make the dream stop, but it wouldn't, and my poor Bill was just losing more and more of himself as the dream pounded my psyche.

Now Bill is 11 years older than I, but looks very young for his age. He is fit and fairly healthy... but does tend to forget where he puts stuff (who doesn't?) but anyhow... he certainly is NOT old. Still, this dream resonates in the pit of my stomach... and I wish it would go away.

Oh....really interesting. The first thing I thought about after I finally woke up from that nightmare, is that I hope and pray Gerry finds someone to love as much as I love my Bill.

Nathan comes home today! When I spoke with him on the phone last night, he sounded a bit emotional and very tired. I think physically, the change of routine really drained him. But he had a wonderful time... and I can't wait to hear a ll about it.

Those new photos of Gerry are simply stunning.... they look more like he really looks in person, than most of the photos I've seen of him. They capture his inner light... but also, in a few of them you see the darker, dissatisfied and always "thinking" Gerry.

They appear to have been taken while he was speaking. I wonder when we will get to hear THAT interview.

This is my favorite of that shoot. Very introspective.

I gotta agree with you there! Nothing is more sexy than a man who can speak intelligently & with humor, about anything, about himself, and never get bored or boring......that's foreplay! But then you can only take so much of that before you scream......"Shut-Up & *Kiss* Me!" Oh..Yeeeaah! :ohbaby2:

Debrasue

Oops......Sorry Swannie, I think we were posting at the same time! That dream would be scary for anyone! I'll bet you can hardly wait for Nathan to get home! He sounds like a real sweetheart! Yes..I also in my heart truly just want the best for Gerry...you don't think he takes any of our silliness here seriously do you? I hope not...I hope he sees the humor & how much he is loved even tho most of us have never even met him!

Aww, Swannie. What a terrible dream! Someone once said, "dreams are the funhouse mirrors of the mind", and I really believe that. Most dreams are just exaggerated thoughts, so don't get down about it. Although I have had some doozy dreams in the past that have haunted me for days!

Anyway, I am feeling better, thank you (except for the algebra thing, of course! :tantrum: ).

Hi mousie!

I'm glad your feeling better---I can't even imagine what you must go thru! That's an interesting saying about the mirrors & dreams--do you remember where you heard that--just curious!
