Suan: I'd love to join you for dinner at the Grand Luxe before the show. I plan on going over early to pick up my ticket. I don't even know what I'm wearing yet. I can't believe that I haven't looked in my closet yet for this trip! Usually I am planning for weeks before a trip. See you in Vegas.

Susan,

The four of us would like to have dinner with the group. Will you be making a dinner reservation? Even

if we can't all sit at one table, maybe we can be seated near each other. J.L. will pick up her ticket as

instructed.

Thank you,

Judy, Little Pearl, Nurse Rachet, + 1

GALS...I was saddened to hear the POTO performance on Sunday was cancelled. So, my good tart buddy and I hurriedly switched our tickets to Friday night...good choice, eh? Soon afterwards, we realized we'd miss the dinner scheduled on Friday night and we just didn't want to miss a minute of the fun and commardarie...bummer. Thursday wasn't an option since it would cost way too much money to change airline tickets, etc., so the Venetian gladly refunded our money. I was truly looking forward to seeing this production. - maybe another time. Thanks so much for all of your work to get things straightened out. See you all on Friday.

Hugs...beggs909

I am going to try to get us a reservation tomorrow since we are a large party. I will tell them there will be 20 to 25, which would include everyone.

Susan, you are the absolute best.

I'll be joining you all at the Grand Lux Cafe on Thursday before the show. Don't know what I'm wearing. Black for sure, but how dressed up, I can't say even at this late date. If everything in my closet would fit, it would be no problem, but alas, nadda. :rotflmao:

Can't wait until Thursday. :yippee:

Thanks Deb - I can organize events but do not EVER look at my space - at home or at work - because if left to my own devices they are a distaster. Fortunately I have someone at work who goes into my office nearly every time I leave it and reorganizes - now I just need to figure out how to get her to do the same for my house!! In fact my house is so out of hand that my husband and I speak of hiring a dumpster, putting it below the living room balcony and just starting to toss things over into it. If we ever decide to move it will take at least 6 months to get the house anywhere close to being ready to sell. We both have numerous "craft" projects in progress at any point in time (though mine seem to spread out much farther than his) and that adds to the chaos.

Susan you crack me up. That sounds just like our house (my sister and I live together) She is a paper hoarder and I'm a crafty nut and then you add the books and old movies we both love....well you get the picture LOL

Looking forward to meeting you'

I feel so sorry for fellow GALS who already have concluded plans for the convention. Whats the final resort now? I think the organisers should do something to compensate GALS for that. The best they could do is to make quick arrangements towards refunds or exchange of tickets. This is a real rowdy arrangement. We in UK will miss that but I personally hope to see you guys at the next convention in UK soon.

Susan, I would love to join you all for dinner Thurs. My plane gets in 12ish. So I should be able to make it with no problem. Thank you for doing this for us. I still have to decide what to wear for the whole trip. I can't believe I still need to decide. Oh well, there's always my 300 t-shirt collection. :pointy: See you all soon. Sandra :lolita: :yippee:

I have met a driving buddy that will get me there early Thursday. We were going to caravan, but we decided to come together. We may want to join you all for dinner before POTO. How do we get in touch with you?

Just come to the Grand Lux Cafe at the Venetian. We will NOT all be seated together because in order to do the whole group every person in the party would have to be there within 5 minutes of the reservation time AND they would have to put everyone on one bill. I'm sure we cannot get everyone there within 5 minutes of a 5pm reservation and I do NOT want to deal with dividing up a check for 20+ people right before the show SO - they will seat us as we arrive, and we can sit in groups of 5 or 6 or however we group up. I will bring a picture of Gerry as Phantom and put it up on my table so those who haven't met me or don't recognize me will be able to find me. I will try to get them to seat me in an area that has enough space for several tables to be near each other, and I will also tell the hostess that there will be others coming in and if they are looking for Susan from GALS to show them in my direction.

If you come to dinner you will get your ticket from me there. If you don't come to dinner I'll be outside the theater at 6:30pm. At this point I can't take on calling everyone to let them know where I am and when because I also have to handle the refunds to those who are not able to go and whatever limited time I do have tomorrow afternoon will be trying to contact them before I go to the Phantom box office to get the tickets. It is going to be an insane day, preceeded by an insane week, so at the moment I am just not prepared to take on one single more responsibility.

See you tomorrow, maybe slightly balder from tearing my hair out!

In defense of the management - yes it was a shame this happened to us but they did their very best to make it good for those of us who were able to attend the show on other nights. Originally they only told us that the largest group (Thursday night) would get to meet and greet with the cast after the show. As it turned out for each of us who went on any of the alternate nights we were first given free programs and told to meet by the stage after the show. We were then escorted on a personal tour of the theater from the stage to the areas under the stage where all of the special effects are controlled. We heard stories about mishaps (chandelier getting stuck, etc) and how this show differs from all other stage versions (the chandelier is in 4 pieces and its rise and fall are incredible, to name just one). We also met the actress who played Christine as she was leaving - what a delightful young lady - and then we got to go to the green room and "hang out" with The Phantom, Tony Crivello. What a treat!! He answered everyone's questions, signed every program, and took pictures with us. I know the Saturday group may have had a bit of an abbreviated visit as Tony was still in makeup because they do two shows on Saturday night, but for us he took a great deal of time (since there were nearly 30 of us on Thursday night). Tomorrow night I will post the pictures we took (only with Tony - we couldn't take pictures in the theater itself). I still feel badly for those who missed the show because of the sudden schedule change, and hope they get to see it next year because it is SO worth it, but I also have to thank the management who did their best to make it up to us.

OMIGOSH! That was wonderful and a great treat to start off our convention. Tony was a doll and after hanging out with him and the fans, I wanted to become an actor so I could give kisses out! lol!

Thank you Susan and thanks to their management. It was a memorable night. They made it up to us really well.

Susan, I am SO glad that everything worked out well with Phantom Las Vegas, and that all of the GALS got a meet-and-greet, whatever night they went! (What they did was give you the new VIP package for which they charge $250 per person, and you deserved it.) I'm thrilled to hear that Tony was just as wonderful as he was when Lynne, Norma and I met him last month, especially considering how large your group was! He's the best public relations that the show has.

I'm looking forward to the photos!

I would like to thank you Susan for arranging for me to go to the after show meet and greet, even though I was not seated with the group. I did not know I would be able to even attend Phantom until Wednesday morning, so you wooman get a huge hug for pulling that off! :hug99:

:thankyou:

What a great way to start the weekend! Even though our original plans were altered, I couldn't have been happier by the way things turned out. Tony was so gracious to all of us. Many, many thanks again to Susan for her efforts on our behalf.

She rocksl!!! :claphands: :erikrose: :cheer2:

THANK YOU SUSAN!!!!!

I was part of the small contingent on wed (6 of us). We were treated extremely well. We were happy with the programs and did not expect the tour and meeting "Christine" and "Phantom" (Tony). Boy he is a talker and was very gracious and made sure all our programs were 'personally' signed. I know I am still in awe and just hope and pray that all will workout for all o fus to be together for it next year.
