Hollywood
so it was right that i signed tis one also then??? i was talking with someone from another sight who did this sort of thing plus raised millions of dollars to keep a tv show on the air.. **something to do with star trek** and granted that was television..... she said it did no good... and was telling me she was afraid we may be wasting our time... but i feel its worth wht ever time we put in... we really have nothing to lose...... i just hope that the powers that be... actually read this and share it..... anyways i personally appreciate the effort that you've all put into this.... and hope my 1 little signature helps make a difference... Hi Nance, I have never heard of someone who raised millions of dollars to save Star Trek; but WOW! I do not feel we are wasting our time. Not in the least. We are being noticed, we are getting the word out. I do believe this is the first time that fan sites from all 3 actors are working together to make this happen. I feel this is a great effort and I am thankful. All signatures have made a difference.
Debrasue
nance...It might not do any good...but people will read the comments & take notice...and maybe others will see just how popular & admired Gerry Butler is!....and that he has a tremendously loyal & energetic fanbase that would try to move mountains for him! Maybe even G himself might read a few of the wonderful comments.....
Cassie
OK members! I just signed the 1000 and 1001 post I see! Double post. The first 1000 signatures are now being emailed to Lionsgate. Now please post WHERE you want to see Shattered. Include the name of the theatre, their address and phone number. Of course, you can still provide your comments to the cast, especially GB! You will have to use another email address though -- you can't use the same one again. The next 1000 will go to them again...and again...and again... Thank you all SO MUCH for your help with this! I will never forget this as long as I live. Where do you sign the next one? It keeps telling me that I've already signed it. Cassie

Songbird
I used a different email address requesting the movie in Huntsville, AL, and yet another email address requesting it in Nashville, TN. I think I have one more email and city that I can use. (I did post exact theaters, including addresses and phone numbers, which I found by googling Carmike and Regal on the Internet.) Katie ETA: Debrasue, I LOVE your siggy!
Knight Phantom
Number 1064 with the address of our local chain's corporate office. nance
its not that i think it wont do any good....i believe tht when numerous people voice their opinions... that it can make a difference.... history has shown that to be true... so i whole heartily agree and will take part in this petition.... this was just someone who mentioned this when i suggested this same procees for a different actors movie which is getting the same treatment this movie is...... she just posted what they tried to do with star trek and were unsuccessful... therfore not wanting to start a petition for this other actor and his movie... ***does any of that make sense????*** i think its important to spek up for what you believe in.... even if the powers that be dont respond.... if we didnt speak up... us women may still not have the right to vote...!!!! i am curious... i thought i read somewhere.. that gerry may not be "happy " with the final cut of this movie... and im wondering if anyothers heard the same thing..... felliniquilter
You never know. That's the thing. You never know if you are really going to be heard. So you have to try. One thing is for sure, and you do know this: if we don't try the petition, we will not see Shattered in the theatres. So what do we have to lose? I am disturbed by having read two posts at another web site stating in one "only 4 people were in the theatre" to see Shattered; another said 28 people were in the theatre. Both posters noted that there was NOT one word on the ticket selling booth, nor poster, nor ad, nothing to announce they were showing Shattered. If you didn't know about it on your own, you had no way of finding out. Just how fair is that of Lionsgate and whoever is responsible? If they are judging whether or not to release Shattered on the basis of whether it could draw crowds to the ticket buying booth, why don't they have something posted so people can buy tickets? An ad in the newspaper? Announcements on FM stations, even? Does Lionsgate want this film to get an opportunity to see if it will "play" ? Or are they doing this so they can say it had it's chance, but making sure that chance won't work? We HAVE to press them on this. They shouldn't be allowed to get away with this. They should realize that taking a good movie to DVD before it has had its chance to be seen on the big screen is not the right thing.
felliniquilter
Well, I debated with myself about the ethical nature of signing up for more webaddresses at the free sites like hotmail and bravo. But after thinking about how crummy it was that no poster, notice, radio or tv or newspaper ads were made to announce Shattered was playing at the theatres in Miami (so Lionsgate can supposedly see if there's a market to release Shattered on the big screen), I've decided: Yes. So I just signed the petition again with a hotmail address. Soon I will do so with a Bravo address. Actually, it made me feel REALLY good to know I sort of leveled the playing field a bit. Anyone know where else you can sign up for a free web address? After I resign with them, I'll keep them handy in case there's a next time I need to do some leveling again. mommaduck
I still think there is much more to this "story" that we actually know. This film had everything it takes to make a class "A" movie, and yet it isn't being released. If there was absolutely NO publicity for this movie in Florida, if is quite obvious it is just so they can say they "tested." I want to know WHAT and WHY this has happened to this film. It is almost as if it is a big "embarassment" to everyone involved--to have it never MENTIONED by Gerry or his publicist, etc. What a puzzlement!! I was hoping to have more feedback here by today from those who have seen the film. Judy

Adoring
Oh Geez, I did read the wording and I, too, feel it is disrespectful and demanding and am quite sorry that I signed it. It is about an true signing by fans wanting to see the film in theatres. I do not want the film company to think our numbers are not accurate. Just let me know either here or via PM. Thanks.
