Thank you for posting it! And it is a very nice review. Of course, we know that Gerard Butler is wonderful in ANY role he plays, but it is nice to read that other people know it too.

It looks like they released it in a better edition than in our country (here, the DVD appeared last April, but without any extra features).

They just have released it here like that (but it has subtitles and it is dubbed, otherwise it will not sell well here), there probably are more versions of DVDs. But at least the film is there...

"...Gerard Butler is wonderful in the role of Beowulf, for not only does he make a convincing hero — charismatic, charming, and fierce in battle — he also does a great job of showing the turmoil that plagues his character as the film proceeds. What's really remarkable about his performance is that he doesn't let the character go too far the other way and all of a sudden make him an apologist for the warriors. That's what he is; he's not ashamed of being one, and he has no problems with using violence to solve problems...." Excellent!

I do love this movie, WoG and the character... As you may suspect by glancing around.. :D
