Gerry Addicted Lust Syndrome (continued)

Recommended Posts

WELCOME to the 45th floor of the 2nd highrise of our clinic! We only have 24 floors to go to reach 69 again!

With the Nim's Island premiere a couple of days behind us and opening day a few days in front of us I figured it was time for a floor dedicated to island fantasies (of the PG13+ version only, please). Gerry and you on a deserted island, just what would you do? Would he be an Alex Rover-type action hero or an intelligent, sexy-nerd scientist-type? Would it be more like Survivor or Fantasy Island or Robinson Crusoe? Warm sunshine, sandy beaches, palm trees swaying in a tropical breeze, and a suntanned gorgeous man of your fantasies to share it with, what could be better? For those who just can't keep the fantasies within the PG13+ guidelines do carry the theme into the over-18 Gutter Support Center. [

IF I were on a desert island with him and we had all the time in the world, I would want to learn everything I can about the man..I would talk with him to see what he likes and dislikes...I would learn everything there is to know about him..I would learn how he likes his eggs..what type of poetry, music, movies he likes. What makes him laugh, really laugh and what he takes seriously and what makes him cry. I would love to just be able to stare at each other and see what lies in his eyes...you can tell so much by looking into a person's eyes...without saying a word, or by touching a persons face with your eyes closed. I would want to explore the island with him..make new adventures...*sigh* :wuv:

Mousie, I am so sorry to hear that the crohns is giving you trouble. How dare that STOOPID disease interrupt your precious Gerry time!

I was forced to cancel my dr's apt yesterday, when hubby was sent to Seattle for a delivery and pick up. I still feel like uber crap, but the cough seems to have settled down a bit, so maybe I am on my way out of this thing. I have an appt for Monday anyhow.

I've been reading here and there that some fans are disappointed with Gerry's screen time in Nim's, and that he is only a supporting player. I too would really like to see him in a film where he IS the main character with tons of screen time, but I really think it speaks to his down to earth and humble nature, that he is willing to do a film where he is not the star. Many actors in his league would not waste their time with such a role. I admire that about him.

I haven't seen Nim's yet, but if I can get through this day without coughing my head off, I'm planning to see it tomorrow with my mom and sis.

have a great weekend, everyone!

Swannie

Sue, Maggie,(the girl from the Marines) and her husband were stationed at Camp Pendleton outside San Diego. Now they seem to think that maybe they are running away because they are supposed to go to Iraq this summer. On my computer on newsday.com it says story contributed by Los Angeles Times so maybe thats where you'll see it.So now we don't know if they are running away or if there is foul play. The hard part is not knowing. :tantrum:

Anna, Ron and I are fine.Thank you so much for asking. My asthma is a lot better and Ron has good days and bad days. But thank God he hasn't had any really serious attacks to where he's had to be hospitalized. He has a lot of pain but don't we all.I sincerely hope you are feeling better and getting stronger every day. :hearts::rose:

Big hugs to those who need them and those who don't as well...

Peggy

Despite the fact that I have a sore throat and am not feeling the greatest, I am still going to far-flung Uncasville to see one of my favorite bands (Asia). Tomorrow is probably Nim's...if I'm still alive by that time. Hope everyone has a good weekend. Okay, I'm heading for the shower now (which would have already happened but I took a nap earlier). Ta ta for now, ladies.

Christine, have fun and I hope you feel better.

Peggy, well, I hope they ran away (I would probably run away too if someone was sending me to Iraq...sorry)...I will continue to pray for them...that their family will hear from them very very soon.

Anna, I thought of you this morning when I was out in my backyard and so I took some pictures:

Well I am sure life is geting back to normal for all those who came to CUT last weekend. I can't believe it was this time last week - oh time flies. I had such a great time meeting all you GALS and I hope Gerry realises what a great bunch of fans he has. I am still trying to not forget I actually had my first in the flesh sighting of Gerry and look at my photos and think they were taken by someone else. Just to realise this person who I have followed for years and lusted after is not just a picture on a computer screen. It was great to see the You Tube Clips and actually hear his interaction with the fans. I could see it all so it was nice to know what he was actually saying.

The UK has to wait until 2 May to get Nim's so I guess it is something to look forward to. :D

Do you know Dr Who returned tonight - Jack Butler McRover watched it and said if they made it into a Hollywood movie and they needed a bigger name than David Tenant he thought Gerry would make a great Doctor as they are both cheeky Scottish lads. I have never thought of Gerry as the Doctor before as I just love David Tenant but you know Jack's idea is growing on me. :pointy:

I'm going to be quite sad to see Jack go but I know he is going onto a great place. I just hope and pray the postal service does not lose him as he will certainly be on an adventure then.

I absolutely LOVE Doctor Who. I've watched it since I was a teenager when PBS carried the show. Tom Baker is always going to be my favorite, but I have to say David Tennant is a very, very close second. Chris Eccleston was fab too, but I know he didn't want to be typecast so he wasn't on there that long. I admire his acting even outside of Doctor Who, though (as well as Mr. Tennant). And Torchwood, John Barrowman...all good.

We finally got a gorgeous rain free weekend here in St. Louis. I ran my errands earlier, and now I'm sitting with the windows open just enjoying everything. And baseball's back!!! :pointy: This gal loves her baseball...and the Cards won again...WOOT!

I haven't seen Nims yet, so I'm trying not to venture into threads where I might get spoiled. Maybe I'll get time tomorrow.

I got a lecture from my mom this afternoon about going to LA. I knew it was coming, but I thought it would be worse. I guess she's pretty much got it into her mind that I'm an adult and will do it anyway. She told me that she "didn't tell dad I went". God, why do they try to make me feel like I'm 10 years old? It's not like I was out doing anything destructive or anything. I met up with friends, saw some good movies, did some sightseeing, and helped Kids Kicking Cancer. I don't understand why that is so bad in their eyes. I guess because it was something I decided to do, and that they didn't decide for me. Oh well....

Oh, and my brother's "stalker" is back. This crazy man that was giving him trouble (he was the next door neighbor, and he was the reason my brother moved to begin with) found out where my brother worked. He has been showing up there causing trouble, and the police won't do anything. And the worst part about it is, he works in a school. Since when is it okay for a looney to show up in a school?? My brother and his wife were actually afraid for their small son...and rightly so. Now this twit is stalking him again, at his work, in a school. No wonder kids get shot and killed in schools.

And people wonder why I go out of town so much. :tantrum:

Hey ladies,

When I awakened this morning, I had the strangest feeling that I would not see Asia this evening.

Well, I was unfortunately correct.

I arrived at the Wolf Den at what I mistakenly thought was an early hour...right? WRONG. The line of people wrapped ALL THE WAY AROUND THE PERIMETER OF THE CASINO. My sister and I had seen Dave Sanborn at the Wolf Den some years ago, and we were in the middle of the second line. When we were allowed into the Wolf Den, all we could find was some space to the far, far left-hand reaches of the stage where we stood for two aching hours. If I had waited at the end of the third and longest line this evening, I:

A) would not have been admitted into the Wolf Den at all, which is SMALL (or)

B) would have been admitted and relegated to standing room only in the far reaches of the Wolf Den, which means that I wouldn't have seen a blessed thing as I'm only 5'4"...FOOK A DUCK!

I was really pissed off but I just thought to myself, "Hey, I have good seats for two other shows. Let me buck up and have some pizza before I drive home." So I did. And I enjoyed watching the weird array of people who populate a casino as well (half of them resembled my elderly parents). Then I checked my voicemail and found a message from Erica at Guitar Center, who said that I'd cleared my background check and would I be able to stay for one or two hours of training on Monday evening? I called her back and said, "Sure, no problem." My first official shift is slated for a week from today.

And, on the way home, I found a station that was playing GOOD stuff from the 1990s and ONLY the 1990s, hence I relived some good memories from Seattle and elsewhere. I also thanked God that tonight's Asia gig was FREE so it's not as though I paid for anything except gas, pizza and Coke.

So, anyway...that's my review of the Asia gig...LOL Now I'm listening earnestly to Cheap Trick (which was my other disappointment of the day as I discovered that THEIR tickets didn't go on sale this AM).

*SIGH*

Anna, you are too funny. I shouted myself hoarse when I saw Asia last year, and it was FUN!

Donna, your parents treat you EXACTLY the same way mine treat yours truly. Geez, God forbid that we do something fun that involves, even indirectly, a celebrity (though, as you accurately mentioned, there were MANY other activities in which you participated that had precious little to do with G). Or God forbid that we spend money to do ANYTHING FUN! Then we're somehow branded as adolescents and when we will "grow up," blah de blah. Enough of that horse-shyte.

I am sorry to hear about your brother's plight as well. I've been stalked twice in my life, once offline and once online, and it's a horrific problem. I'm sure that your brother and his wife have a restraining order against this wacko but since when do most sociopaths adhere to the law? Well, I'll definitely pray that this dude just leaves well enough alone. I wish I knew why so many people are so touched in the head.

*SIGH AGAIN* Time to make some coffee. My throat needs some hot liquid...and I didn't even scream once! But, yeah, I was singing on the way home and really stretching the cords...OUCH.

Sorry to hear you couldn't make your concert. That's a bummer.

I mentioned something to mom about getting a restraining order, but so far the police have said he hasn't done anything "threatening" enough to file any sort of complaint. It's a small town, and the police there don't want to do anything (people know people in those small towns). My sis in law works at another school, and the policeman she spoke with said if he can't get anything done with the local police, to go over their heads and call the sheriff. He also said if that nut sets foot in her place of work, he's getting arrested.

As far as the parents go, they have no idea what I was doing in LA other than to attend a charity event. If they had any sort of inkling any "actors" were involved, it would be much, much worse. No, their beef is that I was going out of town on my own, meeting friends that weren't part of their church, and doing things that weren't up to par with what they consider to be appropriate behavior for someone who used to (and should now be) attending church. I'm not going to sit there and pretend to be something I'm not, but at the same time not all secular activities are evil. It was this sort of thing that caused me to stop going in the first place.

I call it that but they had to move because of that lady never leaving them alone, saying they were doing things they were not and lots of bad stuff it was awful so they moved. Michelle hi, Christine too.. I went to see Nims today its very good and everyone in it especially Gerry is sooo great. Yes he was in water again and not enough of him again. Ah, I get it now. Well, no, I DON'T get it because I've never harbored that kind of mentality in my life but my parents freak out if I do anything that even remotely resembles adult behavior. Which is why I barely talk to them these days.

Procuring a restraining order is so difficult that it's beyond ridiclous. I'd forgotten that the person needs to DO SOMETHING before the order is granted. Oh, yeah, that's just great...NOT! "He put a knife to my throat and threatened my life." Why does the judicial system always wait until catastrophe occurs before THEY "do" something? Anything?

Man, this sort of thing just ticks me off.

Hi Betts. Hi everyone. Geeeeeez...I wish I was watching Asia in action right now. *serious grumbling*

Pil, I've had the hugest crush on him for the past 27 years! :pant: As I am wont to say, "Robin Zander was my first boyfriend, even though he doesn't know it." :wuv:

God, I LOVE Cheap Trick and cannot wait to see them again. And, yes, Robin has one of the best voices in rock, hands down. :music:

I agree that it definitely stinks about Asia...but I'm seeing them on the 13th and 17th so I'm not TOO crestfallen.

Hello ladies, Sorry for all those dealing with ailments, but did you know they say that the more you think and talk about "bad" things like illnesses, the more you have of them. I found it to be true with me, so I do my best to think of the exact opposite.

Speaking of cute fuzzy faces, I took myself to see Gerry :wuv: in Nim's Island yesterday...I loved the Lizard (Fred), of all things!! It was a very sweet movie...not enough of "shirtless" Gerry for me, but I can always pull out Attila or "300" :pointy: for that!!

And yesterday we had the cutest kitty in the whole world staying with us at the Animal Hospital. I could not believe what a cute and perfect face he had...and such a sweet disposition after having his "you-know-whats" taken out!! (Ouch!) One of the girls wrapped him in a towel, like a baby in a blanket and I got a really cute picture of him on my cell phone. Wish I could post it here.

Have a goodnight everyone!

Sue - what a beautiful garden you have. And such a gorgeous sky, not even a wiff of smog in the air. How is B2 by the way? Cute as ever I hope.

DonnaKat - I so envy you for that picture with GB. He looks sinfully scrumptious. How were you able to breathe being cheek to cheek with HRH. I would have :pant: and probably would have fainted from hyperventilating.

Anyhoooo, have a good night ladies.

Nearly finished the Phantom Death, started yesterday morning as soon as the postman dropped it through the letter box, see photographic evidence above! This may be the last one of me for a while with my own hair, the front is so sparse....soon be sporting the ecclesiastical tonsure, front and back.

Now the only reason I'm drawing attention to this fact is to say that whatever life throws at you........pick it up and throw it back! Live the life you have, not the one you think the world owes you. Try to think of someone else's problems, try to walk in their shoes, you may find that your life is really great! When times are bad for me I can always find someone who has it worse, without the loving support of family and friends, so I thank God and cheer myself up.

Did you waste the day or use it? Was it well or sorely spent?

Did you leave a trail of kindness, or a scar of discontent?

As you close your eyes in slumber, do you think that God will say:

"You have earned one more tomorrow by what you did today?

Now where did that all come from? Back to reading,

hugs,

Anna X
