Again for all the hard work, Barb! And for our lovely mods and their 'putertrouble, - I know all about that! As we say in Norway: It's the thought that counts! patsyb
Eva Mari and Marg, Thanks for your kind words. I do have some more which will be posted later. I want to try to eke them out a little, although I have quite a stock. Barb, Thanks for everything you're doing re the Virtual Convention. You work so hard for GALS all the time but this must mean quite a lot of additional effort. Until later ..

BUT YOU ROCK WOMAN!!! thanks for all your effort.

Guest Helena
Goodmorning sweet Gals I have a message from the Sun! Good morning GALS & PALS, Another day in life is here The hour has come to redefine Your journey ‘cross the wild frontier Beneath a sky, in cobalt hue You’ll stroll along your merry route While I hope all the best for you As you continue your pursuit. Good morning, as the moonlight fades And you begin your daily chores The dawn is bright; open the shades Then, dream until each wish is yours Throughout the day, you’ll move in stride As I hold your heart in each prayer Every time that you look outside You’ll know I'm waiting there. Good morning, as you greet the world Once more, your life begins anew A fresh beginning has unfurled And brought your goals within your view While you seek to embrace your dreams I’ll wish you well, ‘til day is done I’ll keep you safe, beneath my beams Have a great day! Best Regards, the sun.
NordicGirl
Please help yourself, Risa! And I SO feel for you about not being able to use Frei... But you have done good in spite of it, half the teams have to go home and there are some VERRA good teams out there!! And we didn't even qualify this time... Or maybe not! One less thing to worry about, you know! And we are in "good company": Denmark + the entire UK missed out, almost hard to believe... And I really like the Netherlands too, - AND Portugal! Sweden I hoped would do better but they've shown some excellent play at least! *Claps* ETA: Excellent poem, Helena! becozy
good morning, gals!! I'm having my coffee (I make very strong coffee!) and catching up.... Patsy, yet another wonderful poem...when I get my own computer I'm going to 'save' these as I really think they'd be terrific printed on some nice paper and used for scrapbooking the Characters. Helena, I enjoyed your sun poem...did you write it? Very nice... DawnS Risa! Sorry 'your' team didn't go on to glory...it's wondeful to have sports for an interest...I only share my husband's love of sports in a peripheral way...I always cheer on his teams and offer sympathy when they are in the 'pits'! Eva Mari...thanks for the beautiful bottle of Gerry juice adult-style and the stunning glass... I shall take full advantage of them this afternoon while preparing a little Father's Day feast for my husband, Alan, and his dad. Well, the scoop on my end is...I stayed up on the 'puter until 3:25AM awaiting word from Vegas... but by the time Dayna was able to check in it was after 5AM my time, since she, Jenni, Susan and the other Mods were doing paperwork and clean up... But because of glitches in Vegas the info I was awaiting wasn't ready! and today doesn't sound too hopeful, either ... ah, well, patience is a virtue, they say! *Barb and home-gals tapping fingers*
Guest Helena
That poem is by my cousin Jill! She sent it to me last week. Actually, all her emails are in rhyme. I keep telling her she would make a great witch! Our family is very artsy fartsy.. Here's one I wrote for her wedding 2 years ago: Perhaps the planets may all shift out of place And re-align themselves again in outer space Perhaps all of the stars may burn out and die But they’ll never separate us even if they try The earth may quiver, shiver and shake And have the most intense earthquake The world may burn forever constantly But we’ll always be together endlessly Let’s make it together, you and I With a passionate love on fire And with my kisses of desire I will reveal to you that I love you Suddenly the sun may fade away And cover the earth in darkness and dismay And even if this moment would come and pass today Our love is here to stay The planet may drown in floods and turn to gray Or fish are found swimming in the mountains of Bombay Even if Nature may fall apart and decay Or humanity gets lost and goes astray Raindrops may instantly turn into sunrays While the snow begins to fall right at the end of May You could never let me go because I love you so Even if gravity uproots the trees and plants Or uphill slopes turn into downhill slants Oceans and mountains I would dare to rip apart Just so I can be with you sweetheart

Sipping on a Tim Hortons coffee this morning and reading through your posts. You all sound so great! I have some work to do at home today but I take breaks here and there to keep my sanity. So nice to drop in and escape for awhile. The pics of Gerry are great! I swear I could sit here all day and just stare. Wishing you all a beautiful day! IslandGirl
HI ladies. Hope everyone is having a great weekend. I came down with a nice flu bug yesterday, so my night was spent in bed! But today it seems a bit better. I heard the news that Gerry called the girls in Vegas. That's great. Nice to know he's so gracious to his fans. I guess we knew that already but it's still sweet. I'd love to get there next year! Maybe there will be a whole new wave of us newbies joining in for '09 I've been watching the Euro '08 with hubby whos an avid 'football' fan. The TV has pretty much be locked on the sports channel. I am enjoying it too and for one who's never watched before, I think I've been missing a great sport. Nice shorts boys! I just got back in the house and I think I'll stay for the day. I am still not 100% but got up this morning to make my Dad some diabetic strawberry/blueberry jam and ran that out to him at his cottage for his breakfast. Happy Father's day! That's it for me. I feel like I've fallen out of touch here lately and I miss everyone! Edited June 15, 2008 by IslandGirl

Patsy, I can't get over how beautiful your poems are. Could I by any chance either use some of your verses on my siggy's that I make or maybe ask for your help when it comes to the text? I am usually at a loss when it comes to anything poetic ..... Helena, Thanks for your poetry too! I am so impressed by you gals that can make words sound so stunning! Gotta go and get ready for the real world today so hopefully I'll be back before this day is done! Party on Ladies, Frannie
