Lighthearted poem

Recommended Posts

I love my lips

Though they lay a little too far below

Where they used to be

When they’re not pursed

Into wrinkles

That never desert me

My eyes lay covered over by flaps of skin

I can’t believe the shape I’m in

My cheeks

And shake to and fro

More than needs pinching

And a bit too far below

The sunny apples they used to be

But it’s still little old me

I had something vaguely similar to this at one point. Where you really analyze your physical appearance and discover very strange little details. Nice.

Your line breaks are nicely placed. I assume you're aware of the rhyme scheme? It'd be cool to see how you played with it more. :-)
