Shamrocked
I'm so sorry to hear you are feeling bad Diane. Ongoing pain is such a misery that wears on you!! Have you been drawing? I hope to see something soon I, myself, just started up after a long break, due to pain issues. It's so annoying to say the least As you can see, my thread has disappeared again dang it! Maybe it is meant to be. I look forward to your next one. Feel better soon! Bonnie Hi Bonnie, Oh No! Please bring up your thread again! We can't be deprived of your wonderful art! Pwease? I so much enjoy the art you share with us. I am sorry you have had such pain issues lately. Prayers and hugs that you will be feeling ok again soon. Take care of yourself, dear friend. I have been ok--nothing major, thank the Good Lord--just the usual aches and pains of life. Mostly I am tired and my days are shorter (with limited time to spend on GALS, darn it) since babysitting my now 8 months old granddaughter began. I love it though watching her grow and change every day. Not much drawing at all lately, every free minute I get I spend on making siggies and wallpapers/desktops of Gerry. Burma: Keep reading THE FIERY CROSS--it does tend to bog down at times but the upcoming novels will make up for that! (these emoticons could be Jamie in my mind). here are some of the siggies I made with Gerry as Jamie Fraser: click to enlarge Hugs Diane

So sorry you have had such health issues lately. RL can really kick us in the behind, can't it. Hope you are doing better now and on the mend. Thanks for the compliments on my Jamie Fraser siggies. Of course you may save the Red one or both if you like. LOL. I am honored that you like them. I hope I can do more when I ever get the time, including drawing again. Lately I like to crochet granny afghans again out of desire to do something different. Can't do much at a time though with my hands bothering me. Carpal tunnel--I will have to get surgery soon. When I run out of interesting reading material I too go back and re-read OUTLANDER the firstbook. I think that I have about 5 times now! LOL. I just can't find mnay books that interest me as much as the OUTLANDER saga any more. DG's style of writing is hard to beat! and of course Gerry takes up a LOT of my free time--lol, I mean siggies and wallpapers and GALS, of course. Take care, Diane

Hi Buf, I felt like that too, when I first began reading OUTLANDER and checked out the you tube videos that show him as Jamie Fraser. LOL, I found that Claire on the internet--I think it might be Kate Beckinsale who I think makes a great Claire, among many I have in mind. LOL, we all have images in our minds of what they might look like. I find that to be fun. My image of Claire changes but Gerry as Jamie is the one I keep coming back to. Thanks for caring. irish
Diane, you know I've always loved those siggies and I have them in my collection. I wish a new book would come out. I miss Jamie!!!!! I'm sorry to hear about your carpal tunnel. I pray that your surgery will be a success. I thank God only have a mild case of it and so when it bothers me I just back off on the computer for a few days and it seems to go away (like I said...thank God!). hugs, Sue

Would love to see some of your drawings if you would like to share. You could open a thread and show them to us. There are so many talented GALS on here that are so generous with sharing their art with GB GALS. Hey, it would be neat if you want to give drawing Gerry a try--I sure would like to see your work. Glad you dropped in and again Welcome to GALS. Diane
Shamrocked
everyone. I think I better add something so this thread stays open. There is a Beatlefest going on this weekend. I was a huge Beatlemaniac so I though I would have my own little Beatlefest celebration. I want to share these with ya'll. Here are some drawings I did in 1964 of the Beatles. I worshiped the Beatles and knew every little detail of them so one day I picked up a pencil and did these drawings (from a picture in a magazine.) I wanted to accent in profile their Beatlecuts. Ringo's drawing includes more than just head and shoulders since I wanted to be sure and include his famous rings in the drawing. Remember they were very young then and so was I. The skinny tie was definitely in. Diane
irish
Oh Diane!!! They are wonderful. I was 12 years old when they first appeared on the Ed Sullivan Show and I am still a steadfast Beatle fan. Paul has always been my favorite. I was lucky enough to be able to go to three of their concerts in the few short years that they toured. It was mayhem...but so exciting. As a matter of fact, I was at the very last concert they ever gave at Candlestick Park. I still have so much of their memorabilia that will go to my son some day (when I crook and not before...lol). Arwen
Hi Diane These are just great and bring back so many memories. I remember watching the TV local news programme and saw their very first TV appearance where they sang 'She Loves You' al shaking their heads at the same time, everyone went mad, and ithey just kept getting bigger and bigger. They are very good and thanks for the memory Hugs June

Sue, for the nice comments and glad you like my little Beatle drawings. Did I mention that "the quiet Beatle" George was my fav. Wonder why? Oh Sue--you were so lucky to get to go to their concerts! Growing up in rural Virginia I could only dream of that. I did join the fan club Beatles USA, Lmtd and I still have my membership card, and some of the mail outs to club members. I used to save every little thing that even mentioned the Beatles. Tons of magazines and material were tossed after I left home to get married. Thanks for going down memory lane with me. LOL. Now where did I put my BEATLES4EVER pin... Diane

When The Beatles shook their beatle cuts, the birds would go bonkers! LOL. I remember that they called girls "birds". I had my own little B&W TV set in my room to watch the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan show cause my pesky brothers would not have let me watch the show in peace and I drank in every move, shake, eye blink that they made. They were so young and slender and adorable that even my mother liked them (horrors for a 60's teen!) Diane

Shamrocked
Barbara for the nice comments and encouragement for my little sketches and drawings. Glad you liked my little Beatle drawings. They mean a lot to me even now. I really love drawing Gerry as Jamie Fraser and making siggies to feed my addiction for all things GB and OUTLANDER. Yes, Gerry in any description can really make the heart beat faster! Diane
