Shamrocked
Having a little fun with trying to improve a drawing I did using the photobucket tools. I did this drawing some time ago. I tend to draw and doodle on whatever is handy and then I find I might like to work on it more. If I try to start it again I lose the inspiration. This time was a lined yellow pad and later I folded the thing. Could not completely get rid of the fold so left it to appear like a beam of light in the drawing. Diane so here is the original and with darkening, smoothing techniques and adding texture to hide the lines I came up with this. And no, it's not Angelia Jolie or any other real person--just a drawing from my head.

Arwen
Hi Diane Its a while since I was here, and I love your drawing from out of your head, isnt it funny how we are always looking for new ways to draw things, I cant get into the Photbucket thingy except of course to post pictures. Just think I dont really have the time, I like cross stitching , maybe one day when it all stops, I will investigate all that photbucket has to offer, but until then I will just watch what you are doing LOL Hugs June

So happy you like my drawing. Yes, I am always looking for something new and ways to make it different or improved. I know you are so busy making those awesome cross-stitch pieces that we all love. Maybe someday you can get back to your sketches and drawing too. Look forward to that. Diane

Arwen
Hi Sham I did do a new drawing for Bonnie on her birthday, but I forgot to copy it. Shamrocked
Hi June, Sorry...been a while since I was here and sorry I missed your last post till now. Oh I would have loved to see your drawing that you did for Bonnie's birthday (bet she loved it!) and any other drawings you care to share. I can see what you mean about only so many hours in the day when you do the difficult and time consuming art of beautiful cross-stitch. I haven't done ANY new drawings or sketches for quite a while but I do siggies and wallpapers and birthday greetings, etc. a lot and they take time. I did a second siggy for Gerry's Birthday close to the one I am using now. I plan to interchange them. lol. Posting it here. Diane

Shamrocked
I did it again--let this thread go invisible! Sorry Gerry I will be more diligent in the future. A lot going on in my RL lately so have had no time for new drawings. I hope to get my mojo working again soon. I spend a lot of time with siggies and wallpapers. Bonnieboo! Pwease... pwetty pwease will you bring back your thread with your awesome drawings so we can drool over them again? Hugs to you all, Diane
bonnieboo98
Okay Diane, you twisted my arm, lol. I think I may just start a new one though....my best old stuff plus the new stuff. I'm glad you reposted yours!! It's hard to remember to keep it bumped cuz time flies so fast I do hope you are feeling a bit better, as much as is possible for now, and are soon able to celebrate all the warm loving memories of time you had with your mom. Maybe drawing can help you feel better soon, when things aren't as hectic. It does help, if you have time, of course I personally have not had enough time for drawing, and when I do, I don't feel like it. I think it is because right now I am drawing unfamiliar faces, and feeling a little discouraged, not knowing whether I've captured it or not It really helps to know someone's mannerisms, and quirks to capture their personality on paper. I am doing my two grown up nephews for a gift for my sister, and I just haven't seen or been around them often enough!! So, of course, I procrastinate. I have to stick with it though, and just get it done THEN I can get back to my 5 in one Gerry :O Hugs to you, Bonnieboo Edited January 24, 2012 by bonnieboo98

Shamrocked
Hi everyone! I had time recently and I decided to do another drawing of Gerry as Jamie Fraser from the OUTLANDER saga. I had just finished reading THE SCOTTISH PRISONER and felt inspired! So I did this drawing using Gerry as my muse. Yes! you handsome brawny Scot. YOU are who I have always seen as Jamie Fraser as I read the books. I hope you like my Jamie. Diane click to enlarge
