Gerry Addicted Lust Syndrome (continued)

Recommended Posts

WELCOME to the 65th floor of the 2nd highrise of our clinic! We only have 4 floors to go to reach 69 again!

Though Dressed to Kilt has already come and gone for 2009 we've been reminded in so many lovely siggies about Gerry's kilted appearance there in 2005 and many of us are longing for another glimpse of our guy in a kilt. Doth another sport such masculine legs as our Gerry? We think not!! So maybe we have to settle for pictures of him in shorts, or swimsuits, or those couple of occasions we've seen the wonder of the kilt. Feel free to share photos of other kilted wonders, but just a bit - afterall we are here to show our love and support for Gerry first and foremost!!

AND NOW.... the original thread.

Being the compassionate person that I am, I can recognize a cry for help when I see one. Having said that, I have decided to start a new support group for those of us with Gerry Addicted Lust Syndrome – from now on, all with Gerry Addicted Lust Syndrome with be known as GALS.

This group is open to all GALS and non-GALS alike who believe they are in serious need of support and guidance as they realize how serious their addiction has become. This is not a support group which advocates traditional intervention, as the failure rate would be astronomical, but merely a group whom you can turn to who share in your addictions or withdrawals, whichever the case may be. Some of the signs that you have GALS include, but are not limited to:

1. You buy every magazine on the rack looking for photos or articles of Gerry and start to get the jitters when there has been no sign of him for weeks.

2. You drive 500 miles to see a Gerry movie.

3. Your significant other (or just someone you're dating) gives you stark reminders they are SOOOO NOT Gerry.

4. Co-workers, friends and/or family start teasing you for your addiction – people can be so cruel...

5. You become addicted to caffeine because you can’t pull yourself away from GALS...."'cause just MAYBE he'll be on Chat tonight."

6. You obsess with much glee, "Gerry has a computer...and he knows how to use it!!!!"

7. You find yourself asking aloud, "Did he REALLY mean what he said about the 3:00 a.m. thing and does he REALLY wear a size 11 shoe?" Then smile broadly.

8. You catch yourself speaking in a Scottish accent for no apparent reason.

9. You change the decor in your bathroom to accommodate your new yellow towels.

10. The "G-Spot" takes on a whole new meaning.

11. You spend days wondering why a Scot would be named "Andre."

12. You buy “Mrs. Brown” just for the skinny-dipping scene and play that one scene in slow mo and super slow mo, over and over and over again. (Okay, so maybe that was just me.) :D

13. You have a picture of Gerry in your wallet, and refer to him as “your man, Gerry.”

14. You spend your hard-earned cash assigned for other “non-essential” items (phone bill, power bill, etc.) on essential Gerry related items.

15. You go shopping for your “real-life” man and finding yourself thinking, “OMG!!! Gerry would look so :censored: hot in that!!!

16. You have to buy a new hard drive to accommodate all your pics and videos of Gerry.

17. You search through a couple hundred $5.50 DVDs at Wal-Mart because an employee said Dracula 2K might be there.

18. You can't possibly walk past Starbucks without dreaming that maybe... *sighs*

19. You refer to the Gerry wallpaper on your computer as your “happy place.”

20. While looking up at the clouds you SWEAR there's a cloud in the shape of a "G"...funny thing is, the GAL next to you sees the same thing!!!

21. Multiples (Gerrygasms) are an every day occurrence!!!

This list will continue to grow as you tell me your addictions...

Below is a very simple 10-step program to help foster our addiction.

1. You must admit you have GALS. This is so important to further your addiction. Yes, this support group wants to nourish your addiction, not starve it. We are here for you.

2. Come to believe the Great and Powerful Gerry is greater than ourselves and only our visions and/or fantasies can keep us addicted. To truly become addicted, however, one must at one time in ones life made the Gerry Mecca Journey (GMJ) and meet him in person.

3. Make a decision to turn our will and lives over to our addiction to Gerry.

4. Make a searching and fearless immoral inventory of our fantasies of Gerry.

5. Lend your support to those who have GALS, but are yet unable to admit it.

6. Watch every movie (more than once) in which Gerry has a role. To be truly addicted, you must develop a love of all Gerry genres (yes, this includes “Tale of the Mummy” and “Dracula 2000”).

7. Frequently quote lines from Gerry films. Memorize them, use them, replace old phrases with new Gerry lines. This will prove to all your serious commitment to your addiction.

8. Know Gerry’s biography better than you know your own. True GALS will know all Gerry’s trivia. Study it, soak it in, become one with Gerry's biography.

9. Give generously (money folks) to the website which has fostered your addictions and allowed your fantasies to take flight.

10. Convert all who are convertible to this syndrome. This is the true mark of GALS. Do not judge - for your next recruit may be your boss!

As this is a relatively new Syndrome, the above guidelines are subject to editing, amending or scrapping all together as we GALS deem necessary.

The first step to true addiction is to admit you have GALS!! I will begin the group.

"My name is Dr. Em and I have GALS."

All are welcome to join in our group. GALS, we must not suffer in silence!!! We now have a voice!!! Let it be heard!

*Disclaimer: We GALS appreciate not only Gerry’s royal hotness for which there is no rival, we indeed, also recognize his abundance of talent, soul, passion, spirit, sense of style and humor, sincerity...can I stop now? Our addictions are all-encompassing and we embrace Gerry EVERY WHICH WAY WE CAN!!!*

To Cleobethra for our “Warning Label.”

Haha I guess I'm second! (and speaking of furbabies from the last floor, I'm trying to type around one right now ha!! )

Have a great trip, Sue! Those pics are just Mmm :wuv: . Sure wish I was lounging on that beach with him *sigh*.

I'm off to my friend's house to play World of Warcraft. Since we're both still unemployed, we're working on leveling her hubby's character up to 80 (max level til the next expansion pack) so he can go on the raids our player guild is starting to do every weekend. It's something of an addiction, let me tell you! I've made loads of friends playing the game, and I love having friends who live in the same town as I do that also play. In fact, my friend Vickie is the one who got me hooked on WoW in the first place!

When I'm not drooling over GB, I'm playing my level 80 elf mage (who kicks some butt woot!).

Anyways, hope you all have a great rest of the day!

:hugs:

ps haven't tried the flash drive yet but hopefully I'll get around to it tonight.

New Floor! :bounce:

Am I too late to STRRRRRREEEEEEAAKKKKK in! LOL! that was fun.

Sue, have a great time with your son and B2! Ahhh Grandma huggles time--nothing like it! Just had my fix on the weekend with my 19-month-old granddaughter. She came running to me when she saw me and wasn't a bit shy even though I don't get to see her as often as I would love.

Susan, I had my kiltie siggy up till I made the new congrats to Gerry one (couldn't resist) and here are the two siggies I made and used in honor of Gerry's Scottishness of kilts. And I will put them up again later. Love Gerry in the dark kilt with turtle neck and leather jacket! :yummy:

Posted Image mine (the siggy, unfortunately not the man)

Posted Image mine (see above)

ETA: Cheryl, I just got a good look at your new Attila siggy! :omg: Awesome!

Hi Star  I don't think we have "met". Nice to meet ya! I am sorta new to GALS since December and having a ball here! I think my son and his wife play that World of Warcraft game. I think it was on their computers when I was kittysitting for them while they were on their 2 week trip to Europe in March.

Hi to all my Galfriends!

Can I just say this please?

Thank Goodness it's Friday! And the school hols are here.............then the children change to a new Prep school and I will have more ME/GERRY time! Pip Pip Huzzar! :yay:

Sorry about that but I am exhausted but that could be because I start swimming every morning again. It's great excercise but takes time to build up the laps again. I have no idea what is going on in Gerryland or in the real world for that matter!

Just had a run out to the little village of Biddestone where we are hoping our visiting Galfriends are going to stay, the sun was shining and the village looked so peaceful I'm certain, Suzie and Libby, that you will enjoy your stay there at 'The Little House'.

Off to catch up on some Gerry reading,

To all who in need of comfort I pray for some and those in pain may God give you ease,

hugs,

Anna X

Anna, you wonderful sweetie! Thanks for all the work you are doing on getting "The Little House" for us during our stay. Just PLEASE ask if it is haunted. That may be OK for some, but I'm outta there!!

Cat, if you are around, I left you a message on the old thread about your story - I LOVED it! Everyone must buy "Masques" and read Cat's wonderful story on page 213. You will adore Muriel!

Hugs to everyone whether you need it or not.

Hi

I'm sure I'm posting this in thr wrong place, but I thought I might catch more of you here. If this is old news, I'm sorry. I've been away. On starpulse.com our boy is getting his butt kicked in a final round poll. Granted, by Jeffrey Dean Morgan, but still.....

Thank you for the heads up Wendy - I've now gone and added the information to the "polls" forum and mentioned it in the Siggy Piggy Clubhouse and the gutter (for those who rarely surface). Hopefully we'll all get moving and help Gerry win again (though I am also a JDM fan, so this is the toughest matchup yet for me).

Good Saturday to all my sistars!!!! Susan beat me too it Anna...but yes, Martin has such a cute smile!

Thank you all who wished me a wonderful trip...it was fast and furious but it was so good to get big hugs from two of my favorite guys in the world and than come home to my other favorite guy!!!

I did get a reward for going down...two professional pictures of my two B's:

Bryan came through the "procedure" good but he did have a polyp that needed to be removed and biopsied ... won't know the results for three weeks...but even if it is pre-cancerous...it is now gone....so the nurses were patting me on the back for being so forceful in getting my son to pressure Kaiser Hospital to do the procedure now instead of waiting! So I am a tired but happy mama now...lol....and a fulfilled gramma who got lots of love and kisses from my B2.

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend....spring has sprung in my backyard ...blooms and buds everywhere in just the last couple of days:

Sue, those pictures are wonderful. B2 is getting so big and even more beautiful (if that's possible!) So glad Bryan is doing so well and that you are back with your Daniel now. BTW: I'm determined to move into your summerhouse. So is Anna. You may have to build a second story on it!

Anna, thank you for the pictures of our adorable Martin. We haven't heard yet when Robin Hood is starting back up here. They haven't even broadcast the Doctor Who Christmas special yet! (However, a very clever friend of mine managed to download it from the Internet for me!)

Elissa, Good Sport Bill and I spent the day at the Highland Games here. The weather has been lovely in the low 80s for days. The day we have to work in an outdoor booth for the Harp and Shamrock Society of Texas, the temps hop up to the 90s! I feel like a limp dish rag! We got a few pictures and I will post them after Elissa has a chance to see them first. I hate posting pictures of anyone without their approval.

As Ahnald might say, "I'll be baach"

Suzie

Ahh Suzie, thanks so much. I am really glad you enjoyed it. I think Muriel is based on a conglomeration of us GALS - fiesty LOL. And without GALS it never would have happened. I got so much out of just that one trip to Vegas, such friendship that has lasted, just wonderful "vibes" that really say we can do anything if we just believe in ourselves. I actually started out with some of the fan fic here and the response was so good I finally got enough courage to spread my wings further. I really loved the other stories in Masques too even though one or two took me out of my comfort zone.

Sue, I'm glad all went well with Brian.

Ladies, it is always a privilege to be here with you and to know you through these threads.

Anna, hope you have caught up on some rest,

Love to all

Sue, what great pictures of B2 and Bryan. Your son is mighty good looking, which is why B2 is so cute! You are surrounded by three great males in your life. Daniel being your number one love. Good for Bryan for getting that colonoscopy. It's true, even if the polyp is pre-cancerous it is out and can't hurt him now. You're a good Momma.

I envy your home pictures Sue, where Spring has definitely sprung. We just got four inches of snow last night. Spring has not arrived here in the mountains of Colorado.

Anna, I have to ask. Are you familiar with Twickenham or Teddington? That is where my great great Grandparents lived before they came to America. My great Grandmother was only 2 1/2 years old when she left. I love England and enjoyed seeing it first hand many years ago. Hope to get back there and to Scotland next year.

~HUGS~ to all!!

Happy Sunday everyone! Hope the promise of spring is beginning to peak around where-ever you are (I know, you middle staters and that SNOW STORM WHAT THe???? ---- and for our Ozzie Contingent - the glories of fall!)....well, just happy happy and hope you can enjoy since we are so global and all!

ANNA -- Thanks for the great picture of Martin. He is such a nice young man. How wonderful that he has this opportunity on an established (and great) show. I'm always rooting for him.

IRISH --- Dahlin' ! The picture of the guys is great -- but the look of pixies at the ready in B2's eyes -- now THAT'S what it's all about! I'm so glad you went down and had the time with the guys -- while also getting to be a great Mom (the I-told-you-so confirmation from the nurses was PERFECT!). Hope you can come home to enjoy the yard and the garden and Dan'l.....

But by the by ---- seeing those pictures from that backyard.....is it time for another POOL PARTY AT IRISH'S??????? Nay? Kat? Anna? Raina Snow? You in? Irish, you ready for us to descend?

HEHEHHEEEEEE Do I remember that Jobella's is a Long Island Iced TEa????????

Lots of Love, Jill

Hey Ladies..just finally getting over to ths new thread, but still need to get all caught up.

Hope everyone is well.

SUE, cute pix of your little guy. I always forget, how faraway do they live?

Felt the beginnings of feeling "under the weather" Friday afternoon, and that day turned out to be an 11 hour workday!! :tantrum: He did not tell me I'd be working all day and closing when I came in at 9am...and with only a 30 minute lunch, he said he'd be sending me home 'early'. 8pm is NOT early...it's 11 hours!!

So I was not feeling bad yesterday but since I had the house completely to myself, I lounged, (like I never let myself do!), and now today when I want to go out and do things, I can't because I am sick...total sore throat since the middle of the night. :tantrum:

I hope it passes quickly!!

Hope everyone else stays well.

Nancy

Here are a couple of pictures from the Highland Games yesterday. We were so busy working we didn't get a chance to visit any of the events (grumble, grumble) but the music was great.

Lady Elissa, Bill (Good Sport) and I are all of Irish descent (though mine is mixed strongly with Spanish), and are all members of the Harp and Shamrock Society:
