GALS!!!!!!!

My name is Amber, and I STILL have GALS. In case anyone was wondering!

I just watched Phantom... :tissues: I'd forgotten how much I absolutely ADORE that film, and this AMAZING man! He is just so talented and beautiful and wonderful and amazing, and I almost forgot!!! But I didn't forget, not all the way. And I still love him, even though I'm not on here as much as I should be. I was one of the first 100 members, and I haven't been here in... too long.

I've ben home from college for about a month now. Still looking for a job. Grrr... :wall:

Can't wait for The Ugly Truth! (even though I have no money and therefore probably can't see it...) Oh well, I'm excited anyway!

I love you all!

Amber.

 Sweet Amber,

Believe you me GAL!!! There is no way that I can ever, ever forget the G-Man. I have loved this incredible man for twelve years and I am not about to stop!! He just gets better and better as he ages so beautifully!! The man is incredibly entrancing. There is nothing about this man that is not awesome. He has a gift and I saw it in "Mrs. Brown" when I first heard that awesomly sexy Scottish accent and then saw that dazzling smile. I died and went to Gerry heaven at that moment and I have lived there ever since. I am as proud of him as I am of my own son. My son is one year younger than Gerry and if you have read a few of the previous posts, you know how awesomly proud of my son I am. Gerry is around me at every place I live in!! By my computer there are three pics and two are of Gerry and the other is my son in his Navy Blues. In my room I have a desk with all of my beautiful Gerry "stuff" laid out and his calendar on the wall with my postage stamps and the few magazines I have been able to acquire. I have his beautiful manly face next to my bed and he is the last face I see at night and the first face I see in the morning. The man is my ALL!!!! So do believe me when I say, I NEVER forget how awesomly gorgeous this incredible man is!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good luck on the job hunting!! My Grand daughter is going through the same crap!!! She is on break from college as well. She has two more semesters of welding to get her diploma and her certification. If you ever saw her, you think, "her, an industrial welder??????"

She is a 5'2, alabaster white skined, blue eyed blond. She looks like she belongs in a Macy's!! But she hates waiting on the public. And she has piercings and a couple of tattoos. I especially love her new one on the back of her left arm. It's a smiling skull with eye lashes and piercings the same as hers. It is awesome. The other is her fiance's name, Jose', and yes he is the only man she will ever love for life. Believe me, no other man couild ever fill his shoes. They have been together for 4 1/2 years and they are getting married in October of 2010!!! I am so proud of her and him as well. He went to college for his certificates in auto repair. He has hopes to work at "Motor Werks" in Barrington. Yes, it's spelled right!! And eventually he wants his own place for car repair. He is the first to ever finish school or go to college in his family!!! Dana told him she loves him but she won't support him. He tries to support her while she is out of a job and she fights him on that!!! She knows us women pull part of the weight to make it easy for each other. They are damn good kids. I am understandably very proud.

Well, I have babbled on and I am sorry. But I am so glad you are back and that you love our Gerry as much as we do. He is truly worth all the love he can get. Keep coming back sweet lady and let us know how the job hunt goes.

Love and Prayers going out to you,

Joanna

Frannie!!!, :wave::wuv:

Thank you so much. Sometimes I need that " :needhug: ". And you are so right, Gerry makes me get all shivery inside and the very thought of hugging that gorgeous body and getting to snuggle my face into that to-die-for chest makes me 'neak in the wees! I mean weak in the knees!! Gerry makes me tounge tied!!! Just to think of hugging him gives me dreams of being young and pretty again, with the lovely body I used to have!!! God in heaven, this man is incredibly entrancing. Yep, I've got him on a pedatsal and I am keepin' him there. And our Gerry does not have "feet of clay"!!!! He is not a God or God like, that is why I fell in love with him. He is HUMAN!!!! The rest of the awesome trappings are an added bonus!!!! The man is "just a man" and what a man!!!!!!

Love Ya GAL,

Jo

Jo, thank you for sharing your story about your son. What a wonderful man he must be, and to suffer the memories of that horrendous day, that is just heartbreaking. I'm glad he is doing better, and that he has a great woman who loves him truly. Please let him know that his suffering has not been in vain, and that there are many out here who will never meet him but who are so very grateful for his service to this country and to his fellow human beings. I pray for him, and honor him.

Thanks, everyone, for your well wishes for job-hunting! I'm going to need them, haha.

Joanna, don't worry about rambling! After all, what are GAL-friends for, if not to listen to each other's ramblings?

Today we went to the little kids' school dance festival. They are just so cute! I remember my dance festivals... I got punched in the stomach by this kid named Javier... He got in trouble a lot at the dance festivals, now that I think of it...

Probably headed to the mall later--I mean now-- to try on clothes. It's the first official day of summer break (for everyone else), so I figured I should do something... fun. I don't have a swimsuit yet, or I would totally go swimming!!

Talk to you all later.

Amber.

Hey Gals - what a beautiful day here in Colorado.....well, except that Gerry's lead has fallen to 6,562 - and we really need more votes coming n!

I really need to go outside and do some trimming and watering - maybe in a little while. Do any of you ever get in a "maybe in a little while" mood? I hope it 's not permanent - but I'm beginning to wonder!

Just wanted to drop by and say hi - and keep up the good fight!

Good morning EVERYONE!

The first thing I did at gals is to check the voting poll and our gerry is still winning. Anyway, Joanna, thanks for sharing your son's testimony. Truly, prayers really work and I can attest to that. I'm still alive because of Him. I hope YOU and your son are feeling better and I'm so glad that his girlfriend is a great help to him. It takes his mind off of the past. I just know that your son has a calling in his life to be a vessel used by God. Truly, even in Hawaii when it comes to Memorial Day, all they think about is picnic and barbecue and these are families who never had a military experience. I admire you and your son!

Last night we went to see the broadway, "Mama Mia" and we all had a good time! It was really awesome and the girl who performed Sophie sounds exactly the girl from the movie. I cried when they sang, "Slipping Through My Fingers", Posted Image because I have a daughter. I only have one child and she's 16. It was a standing ovation (spelling). They even covered the very last part of the singing performance from ABBA.

Fran, I didn't know that you had a back pain, but all the same glad you're back. My friend told me before that having a back pain is very uncomfortable and the only way that you can sleep is standing up. Is that true? I don't think it's a joke, because he's the one who always take off from work when his back pain is acting up. That's a very hard condiditon. But like I said, glad to see your posts. Also glad to know where to meet everybody to catch up with whereabouts.

WHAT! How is that possible? That's technical difficulty.

About "maybe in a little while" mood. I have that when I don't like the subject of my homework. Isn't that exciting?

Thank You so much for this. My son just stopped by to show Higgs to me. He gained 8lb.s in one week!!! He is just a magnificent dog. He is truly getting so big and very hard to handle. But he knows his Grama and he is so affectionate.

I told Rob about what all my GAL friends have said and he kinda teared up and told me say "Thank You all, and he really appreciates your prayers and that you care means so much to him. I also Thank You as well. It has been a really hard time for the past 11 years. But I pray a lot for my son and now I just add my GALS in there and all they mean to me.

I truly do Thank You All very much. :wuv:

Hugs and lots of Love,

Jo

Thank You Monique,

It means a lot to me and to my son that people care. It hurts to have fought for your country and lost friends and then no one that you fought a war for, cares to even fly a flag. But, yes, you are right. It's all about a three day weekend and BBQ's and drinkin'. The few that care are almost all older people. But almost losing my son made a hell of a dent in my life and patriotism. I love my country and although I hate politicians, we still have a wonderful country.

Again Thank You so much Sweet Monique. :wuv:

Hugs,

Jo

Hello my sistars!

Jo, thank God your baby boy is ok...what a terrifying time for you. I will keep Rob in my prayers that the Lord will lift him up and pour His grace on him so that he can look to the future and be able to leave the past behind. My dad was 17 and stationed on Pearl Harbor when it was bombed. He laid on the airfield at Hickam AFB for three days next to his best friend. He made it (he was severly injured though and eventually lost his leg and life because of it); but his best friend died on that field...war is just so hard!

Posted Image Amber....

Frannie, aren't we all just a big gob of goo when it comes to our man??

Time for a little decorating:

Hi Ladies!!

I don't know if I'm really here or in the "twilight zone"...for some reason, I have not got any automatic notifications for new postings on the SC...I started to think it was defunct and that the Siggy Piggy club had replaced it.

Now I don't know how far behind I am.

I'm not staying long, just wanted to check in, and hopefully have time tomorrow to get caught up on everyone.

I'm going out in the limo tonight, and although it's kind of misting rain and foggy looking, and I'd much rather stay in tonight, it will be a fun drive, so I just logged in to make my map. It's a couple for dinner at this cute little restaurant called THE HOBBIT. I had first heard about it 5 years ago from a fellow LOTR fan and looked it up online...they said it took a year to make reservations...it looks like a dark and homey-cozy English living room. How cute!!

I probably shouldn't admit this, but I actually have HOBBIT ears!! Do you think I should wear them?? :lmao:

After "17 Again", it's even funnier to me!! I also have a HOBBIT cloak, although it's not the Cloak of Invisibility...(too bad that could really come in handy!) And of course, I actually have the genuine Elvin Ivy leaf brooch!! :p

Catch you all tomorrow!! Hope everyone is well!

Good to see you in the daylight hours lady!

Attilla Girl, I'm jealous! I consider myself a pretty big LotR fan, although I don't have the $$$ I desire to buy all the random merchandise. I have to use my money for tuition... But, hey, I'm going to be an author someday, so I'll have the money then! I hope you have a great time at The Hobbit!

Wow...! It is SO windy outside right now. Kinda scary, almost. But only because it's making some sort of windy noise that isn't normal... We don't get much windy noises, besides leaves rustling. I love that sound that wind makes when it rushes through a pine tree. That "woooooossshhhh" sound. I think it is one of nature's most awesome noises.

Love you all.

Amber.

Sue, the video is just plain adorable! LOL, isn't it amazing that toddlers can do that--fall asleep while still eating! I have seen my kids do like that when they were sooo little and now my grandaughter does that too. :wuv: So precious. And I see a big difference already--he is growing and growing.

Oh thanks Suzie and Sue. The wife seemed impressed so I hope she has some sway over hubby LOL. Will keep you informed of progress.

And the video is soooo cute...

Off to see my grandson in Queensland next weekend for his 3rd birthday. Hopefully I will have a bit of grandmotherly pride to show off too :-)
