 Galfriends...haven't been here in a couple of days...I went to the ER yesterday morning with bad chest pains and of course they did the whole cardiac thing .... I do have an enflamed chest wall from an old accident that never healed right and of course to top it off the worst indigestion I've ever had in my life! I came home feeling a bit better but then the pain started to get excruciating ...almost went back to the hospital but then I remembered one other time and although the pain was no where near as bad ...I decided to put my heating pad across my chest and took one of my daughters pills to help me relax... Hadn't had a bite to eat or anything to drink til this afternoon since yesterday morning...Just a liitle chicken soup and a cup of weak tea...but I feel a little better now....Seems like every time Bobby goes away something happens to me!!! Anyway, thank God for my daughter...she had to run the Bar for me. Haven't had a chance to read yet but I will in a bit...Actually I put this in the siggy piggy thread and forgot that it's really not for these kinds of posts so I took it out! It's storming pretty good now so figure I better get off the puter!!

 Frannie

Oh Frannie I had to come over and see what's going on ... I'm so sorry, honey. I will keep you in my prayers and good thoughts.

I suffer from Pluracy, and when I get those chest pains I get worried, which makes it worse. I went with my friend last week to LAX and I had an attack when I got down there. It's very scary, so I can imagine what you must be feeling right now.

I love you, sweetie, and you're always in my prayers but especially now.

:hugs:

Sweet Frannie, sorry to hear you are hurting. I'd send really tight hugs to go with the prayers, but I'm afraid a tight hug will break you! Take care of yourself and bless your daughter for being there to help you.

Gentle hugs,

Suzie

9.30pm - Well I really did enjoy TUT - Gerry at his naughty best. It was a preview session and it was totally sold out. The girls next to me said they would love to meet Gerry because he was so gorgeous a I smiled silently to myself and thought about Vegas that 1st time in 2006 - tee hee. Our man is certainly gathering many many more fans.

Time to go have Gerry dreams .... *sigh*

Elissa, very nice to get a extra free ticket after what happened at your Harry Potter showing. Yep, I would use that ticket on a TUT showing, too. I hope to go again tomorrow, after work.

Frannie, I'm glad you're feeling better. :wuv:

For Diane who had a question in the SPC:

Diane, from what I can see Rob is hanging in there. He'll be in London on Aug 2nd & their premiere is Aug 4th. TUT only came in 3rd place & granted it's a lot of money especially for a film like his & it did pull in more money than when Harry Potter opened but he's also dealing with critics who are being very, very harsh.

So a lot of us twitter pals of him were letting him know how much we loved TUT, theatres were sold out, people were :rotflmao: & it was awesome & people kept going back for more.

I sense a very unique person in him but also a sensitive yet strong soul. He has admitted to hiding out. I went on his twitter page to see if there was anything said to others that all of us don't get to see, that's how I found out when he heads to London (I have a media friend in the UK whole will be going to the premiere) but he wasn't going to let anyone bring him down or break him (as in critics). I do believe he's spending time with friends & family as I saw a tweet that he sent to someone saying he was headed out the door (on Sunday) with his skates to go skating.

He reminds me of me...I freak out the day of a show, worse when I get to the venue, grows more when I'm backstage & then the anxiety attack hits & we're about to go on. Yet when I'm up on stage with my "family", I move & groove & could care less what others watching may think of my dancing.

So UK is about ready to get blown away by TUT!!! I bet it'll knock a lot of movies out of the water as well & do just as well if not better than over here. G-Force opened in more theatres so that was one set back to TUT.

Frannie, I'm so glad to hear you are on the mend! Just take it easy and let your daughter spoil you for a while! After Dan's bad turn and all that he and Sue are having to endure, we NEEDED good news from you!!

Linda, thanks for posting the adorable picture of Gerry and Lolita. Look at the way she looks at him - she adores him just like we do!

Another hot, sticky day in San Antonio. We have broken all heat records for July and officially have the most 100* plus days in recorded history. Go ahead and ask me why I'm escaping to the UK for two weeks!

Sending massive hugs to those who need one, and if you don't you are getting them anyway.

Suzie

I'm so drained I could crawl back in bed & not get out. I went to bed late, like 4am late. I had stayed up to be with my neighbor who had been in a huge fight with her boyfriend. I managed to help them get things worked out. I stayed up because I was hungry & didn't want to go to bed & wake up feeling sick because of a majorly empty tummy. So I ate saltines & watched Bones & realized I was falling asleep on the couch. I've had a stomach bug since Tuesday or so & that doesn't help. I'm a sensitive person so when someone is hurting I can feel it too. They also have a lot of negative energies in their house which I can easily feel & it's making me weak, tired, & sick.

I went & got the mail & there was a tough envelope in there.I was rather confused since I wasn't expecting anything. I think it was in May that a friend & co-worker (yes my job at the BIA with Natives was very interesting as my boss was in OK & I was in TN) of mine had been found in his home deceased. None of us who all of a sudden came together ...no one knows what happened. I had him up in Nashville with me for 2 months maybe more. He was there to help me push out probate cases as well as keep an eye on a BIA employee who was trying to reject cases & had a serious vendetta against me. My friend Tim would come in & sit in my cubicle with me. In the morning we'd pull out files, he'd read the paper and eat breakfast, we'd listen to AC/DC & he'd give me the pieces of fruit he didn't like.

At lunch he'd either go out or go out & bring back food. He ALWAYS brought me chocolate or gave me his french fries. We were almost inseperable. He had the wildest stories he'd tell me & always made me laugh. He was Apache & all he had was his sister & nieces & nephew. He loved them. He was always on the road for this job so when he wasn't living in a hotel, he was living with his sister.

He always called me "faerie" or "faerie lady". When he left he would call to check up on me or email me. When he knew our office was closing out he hated it because we were a great bunch & he said he was going to miss me.

Even his best friend with whom he worked with, who is also much younger, he had to come out to Nashville to help. I'd go over to his cubicle because his phone couldn't take transfered calls. I'd let him know his "other half" was on the phone. Those two were the BEST of friends. When Tim was with me and "D" would call, I'd pass him the phone & just laugh. I would razz "D" because he was younger than me & he knew he couldn't "fight" back. We always picked on each other.

"D" was the one who found my email address & emailed me right away to let me know what happened. He told our former boss & another lady. All of us were in shock & we began to email each other more & more. I made mention that sure we're all busy but we should stay in touch.

I don't know the ways of the Apaches but I wrote out a lovely note on a card to Tim's sister. When I opened up the envelope today inside was a funeral handout, a card with a nice note from her & her kids & inside the card was a picture of Tim being goofy. I was shaking so badly & I just broke down in tears. I never got to stay in touch with him after my office closed out. I couldn't attend services because they were in NM (open one to all & then he was taken to the reservation for a private family service).

I had an interview yesterday & another interview with a different company on Monday which is suppose to be a really good position.

I feel sick & I just finished dinner. Everything seems off balance & like the Earth has been turned upside down. I sense a lot of negative energies which I'm trying not to let attach to me or act upon myself.

I'm just SO overwhelmed. I feel like I need to hit the "re-start button" ya know?

Going to rest on the couch.Dinner didn't like me right after the last bite.My dad insists I'm to rest & sleep to be ready for Monday. So I'm excused from the nerves of job hunting until Monday.

Love you GALS

ETA: My dad also told me my late mom's brother has about a year to live. He had brain surgery & the tumor was malignent. I haven't seen him since he married his wife & I was a little girl.Dad said my sis & I don't have to go visit him since he really wasn't apart of our lives.

Anne - feel better!!

Sue - You both are in my prayers!

Frannie - glad you are on the mend!

Ok gals I'm sad! Monday school starts for all county teachers except me! December will make 2 years since I graduated with my teaching degree! I want nothing more than my own classroom but it's sad because neither system here is willing to give me a chance! I can't substitute forever I need more income than that! It breaks my heart because the one thing I really want to do with my life no one will give me a chance. If I can't get hired here I doubt any other county would hire me(I've applied at several counties in TN even Georgia). Both myself and my friend Michelle are in the same situation! It's all politics and who you know and we don't know the right people! I've gotten to where I don't like running into people I know(while I know their heart is in the right place) I can't stand to be asked "Do you have a job yet?" If I had one the whole community would know it!! Sorry for venting!! It just seems the one thing I want more than anything I can't have!

I need a TUT viewing and maybe King Leo too! LOL!

Frannie,

I'm so sorry I didn't respond to your health crisis before now, I've been down for the count with a *mishap myself two weeks ago. I'm so happy to read you're feeling much better now. You need to take good care of yourself - remember, you're the Captain of that ship over there!!

*two weeks ago I tripped over my dog and fell, with all my weight, onto my knee. I can't even describe the PAIN. I couldn't believe how my knee, leg and ankle ended up bruising and swelling! The good news, nothing was broken but it's sure taken me a long time to bounce back. Just in the last day, I've been able to walk around much better and the bruises are almost gone. Yikes!!!...I looked like I fell into the Grand Canyon!! What a doofus :bonk:

 Greetings to all the GALS here in the SC!

Prayers to Frannie, Betts and JUDE for health and healing. I'm sorry you are all going through such pains.

Anne - hope your stomach bug takes a hike soon - I had one last night myself, they are sooooo NOT fun. Good luck with the interviews. I know what you mean about negative energy. I try to avoid that myself as much as possible - I stay away from people and places that seem to always be embroiled in something terrible, or who are always spewing nastiness. I hope your neighbor's fights don't involve abuse but if they do please encourage her to get out before it's too late.

April - I'm so sorry you are still struggling to find a job in teaching. I know 3 teachers here - 1 employed FT, 1 PT and 1 unemployed - and our educational system keeps taking hit after hit due to the budget crisis.

Just checking in quickly, don't mean to ignore anyone but I just seem to be all over the place lately so I don't have the time to catch up with everyone. But you are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Ladies, add my prayers for your various health problems, job-hunting, and I'll send one up

for the rest of you--just "because!" Fran, I am sorry I missed this thread for the last couple

of days--have been busy with my grandkids and had a more "limited" time online. Just glad

to hear you are feeling better.

We are coming off from one of our very infrequent hot spells. Was 106 and in the hundreds for

three days. Coming down 10 degrees made today seem like winter--LOL. Is to continue to cool

down to the mid 80's which is normal for around here. I know a lot of you have it far worse, so

I shouldn't complain.

Hugs,

Judy
