Lady Ski Bum
I was just trying to recover from the promotions for TUT and now they are starting for Gamer. Saw the Gamer poster at our local theater. Yikes!
frannie
Alot of people have been tweeting to say Gerry is at the UFC at Wachovia Centre in Philadelphia tonight with Gamer co-star Terry Crews. 2 pics have already been posted. http://www.clinchgear.com/clinchpic/2009/0...erry-crews.html http://mypict.me/show.php?id=iU5d If any of you Philli Gals see anything on local news let us know. I know he was being interviewed on UFC but think that was pay per view. Moira Enter didn't hear any thing on the news here in Phillie . Maybe becaus of the tragic event in New York . THe news was focused totally on the crash . Thank you for all the news you give us about Gerry.

Texas gramma
Uh, I wonder if Gerry could sit down in those jeans. They fit verrrry nicely! Yum! Suzie
Rubee815
Not even the prospect of seeing Gerry in tight pants or a bunch of buff men could ever convince me to go to an event like this. To see a nice photo of Gerry is enough, and he looks great in those pants. Since he lost some weight he may be squeezing into a smaller size. Dragon Slayer
Leave it to Gerry to be pictured with the girlies! Hmmm, those jeans... Hope he had fun. I think I scrolled through this event on TV last night while looking for something else to watch.
Miss S
Some of those fighters look like frickin mountains walking on two legs!!! They all looked very, very tough!!! Good time was likely had by all!!
GBPhanatic
I'm sure that Gerry saw plenty of bare fisted, no holds barred, fisticuffs in his younger days in Glasgow and Paisley and I'll bet he did his share of partaking in such or maybe even instigated a few of them! Maybe at intermission, the girls in the matching bikinis do a thing in "cherry jello" LOL! For some reason, he doesn't look like he's really enjoying it all that much by his expression. Maybe his unhappy look is due to him thinking, "Fook, I can't even go out a night with the guys that I don't get noticed and photographed! Bring on the jello wrestling!" AimeeMarie
Misty and I were able to see the interview because we went with her husband to a friends house to watch the fights. The interview was brief, basically welcoming Gerry and Terry to the fight to promote Gamer. The announcer asked each of them who they thought would win the main fight, BJ Penn or Kenny Florian. Terry chose Kenny, saying he always rooted for the underdog and Gerry chose BJ, saying he'd met his mother and she was a great. Poor Gerry didn't look or sound like he knew what he was talking about regarding the fighting, but man did he look fine! Unfortunately, I missed most of his response because the guys in the room were making fun of us because Gerry was onscreen. After the brief interview, they showed a small trailer for Gamer and that was it.
phoenixgirl
OK that picture of Gerry with Terry and the wrestler! That's the face that drives me wild. As for UFC, when I was into Leland Chapman he did that. He participated in UFC fighting and helped train many of the participants. It's very street, but fun to watch. Thanks, Aimee! I'm sure it'll show up eventually. Lisa Edited August 9, 2009 by phoenixgirl
Jennifer10
Wow, those were some mighty tight jeans... What a horrible "sport" IF you want to call it that. Barbaric IMO! Edited August 10, 2009 by Jennifer10

Guest
great thanks for posting I might be in a minority here but I love watching those fights and was a huge Wrestle Mania fan in the eighties {we all knew those fights were fake though I guess the Gamer promotion is under way and I hope it tops the box office
AbandonThought
Hey Gals, let's not hate on UFC! I absolutely ABHOR wrestling because the machoism and fake storylines perpetuate a perverted view of masculinity and misogynist ideals, but UFC is just a sport. As mentioned above, it's just a mixed martial arts competition. Yes, it's a bit more brutal because they wear minimal protection (though they do wear some), but it's not violent just to be violent. There is a lot of skill involved in what these guys do, not to mention that you have to have a lot of heart to get in the ring for something like that. I was never into the fighting sports until I literally got into kickboxing myself. It requires so much more brainpower than people realize... there's a LOT of thought involved in that kind of sport. You can never know to what extent unless you try it. It makes me laugh when I talk to people who think boxers are stupid! Anyway, that's
Emily Bronte
My son, (22), tells me that women do UFC fighting too, and that it is AMAZING to watch the women fight! Edited August 9, 2009 by Emily Bronte
GBPhanatic
It's bad enough when men do it, but I don't understand why women would want to. D
Texas gramma
My uber-hunky grandson was involved in extreme fighting for a while. The abuse he had to put his body through just in training was enough to make my daughter and I cringe - never mind what happens during a match. I must admit, I never saw him fight - I can't watch any of that even when someone I love is NOT involved. I will say this, those guys are FIT! However, we were both relieved when Erich decided to concentrate on another sport instead. He's a former Marine - he can do ANYTHING! phoenixgirl
Kinda off topic ... I'm watching iCarly (don't judge me) and they're showing female cage fighters right now. There's that symbiotic thing happening ... it just follows Gerry.

There's that symbiotic thing happening ... it just follows Gerry. I need to watch it every day since my lovely daughter loves-loves it. My only question that I ask every time: "why do they need to yell through the entire show?" and Lili says: "Mom, stop it" There, I have it. I used to dislike UFC but now I kind of accept it. Hope Gerr does not want to try it. Imagine that beautiful face! Oh no!
GBPhanatic
So lets ask Gerry if he is a fan of KFC or UFC or whatever it's called. "Gerry, tell us, we've seen you as a spectator of many sporting events, such as hockey and "soccer", and now recently of Ultimate Fighting. Are you a big fan of the sport and if so could you see yourself partaking in the sport sometime?" GB - "Bloody, fooking hell! I came because they said there would be female mud wrestling! I think I was duped! What was the other question?" There you have it folks! Straight from the horse's mouth! D
