becozy
I love what Hitfix.com had to say about Gerry! The streak of four season-opening new episodes concludes when Gerard Butler, always funnier than his movie roles have given him the chance to showcase, will host the Oct. 17 episode. Butler, promoting the release of "Law Abiding Citizen," will be accompanied by Shakira.

Giggling just thinking about that alone!!! But, oooooooo. live TV!!! I betting on the nervous side, he'll be. Well, we'll just have to wait & see how he does. snicker snicker I'm surely going to have someone download that to a disc for me to keep. snicker snicker The Divine Miss S

terezoulini
[...Gerard Butler, always funnier than his movie roles have given him the chance to showcase, ...] Thank God I'm not the only thinking that! There's so much "juice" there that has not been recorded on film for the whole world to see. At least, we devotees have the interviews. I am currently butlerising the girls at the office. Everyday I give them a new interview and they are loving it. It's so exciting to see people who only knew him from 300 and didn't think much of him to slowly get to know him and appreciate his intellect and wit! We've gone from my female friends and colleagues looking at me in a weird way for all of a sudden developing this crush on GB to actually having them counting the days to TUT's opening in Athens. We're all going together the day it opens, after work, we'll probaby have to book half a theatre! :-) Theresa

We have been wanting this for how long, ladies? This is a dream come true. I have been imagining his opening monologue ... I bet he will be a bit nervous but you know he'll tell a story and he'll be great. I'm looking forward to the skits, trying to imagine what they'll have him do. He'll be wonderful, talking to the audience ... it's what he does, you know? He's an entertainer and he'll be in his element. He just said in an interview that he misses doing live performances so this will give him a little taste of it again. I'm just glad he's getting POSITIVE and decent exposure. He deserves it. mommaduck
I am beside myself with pride (the mother in me) and happiness for Gerry!! Late last night I was watching the recent talk show appearances and after the BET show, I said to myself, "Gerry is ready for SNL--I hope he gets on there sometime soon!" And today.........WOW! I agree that he has really "made it" into the BIG time, and it is ABOUT time!! Judy Edited September 10, 2009 by mommaduck
