So the deal on the cufflinks is that there are only two pairs in existance, Gerry has the one pair and this it the other pair you can win?

Delene

Uh oh .... I hear her mind spinning ...

Well, you know cufflinks are like shoes. You loose one, the other one isn't much use to you. If someone, like say me, should win those, and as prone as Gerry is to misplacing things, it might be nice for him to know where the spare pair is just in case of an emergency. ;)

:funnyup:SEE!! I love the way your brain works, D.

Yes, Lisa, it never hurts to be prepared for the unforeseeable future. I just like to think ahead, plan for the inevitable, the worse case scenario and all that. I'm the queen of the back up contingency, the "plan B". My brain never stops to the point it keeps me awake at night sometimes! If I'm not planning something or organizing something in my brain, I'll go insane! But it's always comforting to know that you at least YOU understand and appreciate what a burden this is. Most likely, I just need to be on some sort of medication.

GB spotted a few times in Hollywood around lunch time today, 2 people just saw GB and another person listed several celebrities they sighted this afternoon, GB, Michael Rappaport, James Caan, and a few others, so I thought this was funny

Michael Rappaport in starbucks. Doesnt he know this is Gerard Butler's starbucks?

Ha ha. Seriously GB should own shares if he doesn't already.

There are MANY Starbucks in Hollywood. I'm sure it's not the same one.

Hmmm, I wonder when he'll fly out to Scotland. I would guess tomorrow. Didn't he say he was going to Scotland for Christmas and New Years? I hope he gets to be with his family for the holidays. :)

I would guess he would head to Scotland tonight or tomorrow if those are still his plans. One never knows! I like that he's been so low key in LA, not even the paparazzi have spotted him out and about.

He seems to like flying in the early morning when it's less crowded (so it seems - just speculation on my part).

I'm glad they've been leaving him alone. While I miss him terribly, it's so great that he's been able to just be a person lately. :wuv:

A morning flight from LA would mean arriving in Scotland early the next morning. It takes about 14 hours plus 8 hours ahead time difference. Moira would know better, but I think most flighs are in the afternoon and you get there the afternoon of the next day. In order to make it for Christmas, my guess is that he took a late afternoon flight from LA on Wednesday so that he could be in Scotland on the afternoon of Christmas Eve. That is if his plans are to spend Christmas in Scotland. One can only assume.

Lisa found the video on TMZ last year and he flew out via BA(think his airline of choice to UK) on 23 Dec. All their LAX to UK flights go via LHR and leave late afternoon and early evening and get in late morning/early afternoon the next day - ive used that route quite a bit. I can only see him leaving LAX early morning if he wanted to go via New York to fly direct to Glasgow/Edinburgh with Continental or Delta - but again these flights leave in the eve and get in about 8am the following morning..

Comrie where is mum lives is in Perth/Kinross area which is 45 mins away from me and they will be getting hit hard with the weather. I dread to think how bad they have had it up there. I am by the river so we do not get it as bad as elsewhere and we have had the worst snow in over 3-4 years. If he is making his own way home I hope he has hired a 4x4 as i expect the roads will be treacherous.

As I type this it has started to snow heavily again so I hope he is home.

OK well I knew he cut it close last year, too.

Theresa, I don't stalk him or make stuff up. Everything I know is based on "evidence". Once in a while I get a date or two wrong, but mostly I know what I'm talking about. :D Sometimes I pull things out of my arse, but not often. :lmao: His flying habits are something I only speculate about. I know that he has arrived at LAX in the early morning, so I guess that would mean he probably took a late flight from whereever he was at. Ok I can think better at 4am than 4pm...whaddya want from me?:rotflmao:

So that's good .. hopefully he took the same flight and is in Scotland by now. Wherever he is and whatever he's doing, I hope he's enjoying himself.

Well someone was last minute shopping - it is just such a guy thing - oh wait I was out Xmas shopping yesterday afternoon too and reminded myself why I usually try to get my stuff done at least the week before Xmas - just wasn't working out this year plus ha my dad had me buying his present to my mom, see that's my excuse!

At Fred Segal's in LA. What are the chances of running into Keanue Reeves Jeff Goldblum and Gerard Butler all in less then 30 minutes.

A lot of male twitterers call GB a bad arse [well bad bass without the second b] and sometimes it takes me a moment to realize in the whole context of what they are posting that it's a huge compliment coming from guys and he must get called that a few times times a day on twitter, esp after people have seen Law Abiding Citizen. Lot of people cosying up with the Ugly Truth DVD over the holidays. Oh and a girl who said she prefers women just said she thought Gerry was hotter than Angelina. That's major, that's charisma, that's hot. Bwah. Just musings - I am going into holiday mode. Break out the egg nog and rum.

I hear the weather has been causing chaos for travellers in Europe and the UK. Like the trains in the Chunnel getting stuck on Friday. Yikes.

Doesn't someone have a habit of missing flights? You don't want to do that this time of year. Or it will be like a scene from Home Alone where it takes 10 flights to get home if you are lucky. That or maybe hitch a ride on a private jet going out that way.

But isn't it just an 11 hour flight or even less taking the shortcut over Greenland from Los Angeles? I think the man flies private planes now - non stop, no crowds, leave on own schedule, etc.

I'm with Moira on this one. I'm in Glasgow, just by the fort, so near all the big interchange motorway routes. Luckily the main roads are clear, but side roads and less used roads are covered in ice and snow. It snowed a wee bit earlier today, but not much, but it is freezing. We have -7 degrees c this morning and it's still pretty cold outside.

Hoping he's made it home by now as it's 4.10pm on christmas eve...it's dark, cold and frosty :(

Yeah, Lav, when guys call other guys "bad arse" it IS a compliment, especially from the younger guys. That's one thing about Gerry; he doesn't just appeal to women. I've had a lot of my male students tell me he's "cool". :)

Oy, I hope he makes it home in time! I'm hearing on the news about delayed flights, etc. I would hate to think of him stuck in LAX waiting for a flight, even thought I'm sure the BA lounge is quite comfy. LOL

Not getting a clear read on whether GB is in US for Xmas or not.

Someone twittered to a friend this:

Aku sruh my baby nyamperin km Cia td RT @GraciaMaryulis: Someone said "Bless You" when I was sneezing.. And guess who it is? Gerard Butler!

HarumiS Dec. 24/09 12:40 EST/9:40 PST

While her profile says LA, she is from Jakarta, but her twitter is private so can't tell if she was in an airport by chance or in LA. If it was him, such a polite boy eh?

Now then someone else thinks they spot him in NYC several hours later but she doesn't sound 100% confident, I mean I saw a guy who looked a lot like GB in the Dollar Store in my hometown yesterday, I had to do a doubletake, but duh it wasn't eh? Imagine GB in a Dollar Store.

Where does Gerard Butler live? If it's NYC, I'm pretty sure he just stared at me as I'm walking up 8th Ave... Be still my heart!

jamieleefinch Dec 24/09 19:26 EST

Last twitterer claiming to have bumped into GB

For grins and giggles, I think I'll go twitter that I just saw Gerry at Wal-Mart.

What? If it's on Twitter I'm sure there will be plenty who'll believe it and post about it somewhere on the net!

Bah humbug on twitter sightings of G.

otherwise,

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

Funny you should mention that, Andrea. I usually get distracted and jump from thing to thing. Guess I've got undiagnosed ADD!

a girl who said she prefers women just said she thought Gerry was hotter than Angelina.

If any man could cause a Lesbian to change teams, even temporarily, it would be Gerry!

I would hate to think of him stuck in LAX waiting for a flight, even thought I'm sure the BA lounge is quite comfy. LOL

Would that be the "bad arse" lounge?

Oh my gosh! I know 8th ave. runs all through the city but the hotel we always stayed at is at 8th and 51st! Damn!

For grins and giggles, I think I'll go twitter that I just saw Gerry at Wal-Mart.

Then I'll twitter that I saw him at our little Dollar Store here in town! Oh wait. I don't twitter!

 See, that would be worth twittering for alone!

"OMG, I just saw Gb at QT! He pulled up to the pump on the other side of mine! There were yellow Dollar General and white Walmart sacks in the back seat. Who knew"?

That's a good one, Ready! Only gap in the story is if it was Gerry's car, there wouldn't be a "back seat"!
