Hello Ladies!

Since we now have a concrete date for the opening of Love Never Dies, I thought we could put the news which is sure to start pouring out, in it's own thread.

I'll start with the article from the Toronto Star on Ramin Karimloo

Mod Edit:

I'm adding links to other threads that are related to Love Never Dies Thanks for the great idea, Deb!

Thank you Deb! We can now keep track of it separately. Maybe we can pull out info on Twitter and share here too. I am ecstatic about this play coming out. Now, I hope it won't be too long before Joel, Gerry, Andrew, Emmy and Patrick start to make plans...

If there is a way, Sally and I WILL be in New York when it opens. We're hoping Sherrell (bermos) can join us as well. We both have subscribed to all the mailing lists so we won't be caught by surprise.

I will try very hard to keep everyone up to date!

Oohh I need to make a counter to count down the time until it opens!

OMG!!! That is a beautiful song!! Thank you for the download link. All the time I was listening to it I was envisioning Gerry singing it. He wouldn't have sung it as dramatic and powerful but softer and full of emotion. We will probably never know though. So sad!!

I've seen Ramin Karimloo's performance in London last year, I know he is a good phantom.

But... I can't control myself to imagine how Gerry will portray the role. The last part of POTO (where phantom holding the music box... )keeps on running in my head in these days...

I won't get to see it. I wonder if it will come out in a movie someday. Never saw Gerry's version until it was on DVD.

The ending on the movie clashes with this story. I think. Not that I am cutting down the movie at all. Like I have said before it knocked "It's A Wonderful Life" out of the long held place as my favorite movie of all time.

They should have stopped the movie with Meg holding the mask like they do with the screen play.

I read the libretto, I've never seen the play.

You all will have to share with me what I cannot see.

I am just glad the character of Meg is in this version.

I love Meg Giry. It does not matter if is a supporting role or not.

Love,

Tracy

OK Gals, we have a year to plan.

Issy and I just discussed it and we are SO going to NY to see the opening of Love Never Dies. Save up, girlies and hopefully we'll all get to see one another while we're enjoying the sequel! :wuv:

My daughter Lora (Nurse Rachet, but she doesn't post) and I are planning on going to NY, and

would like to be part of a group of GB fans if we may. Opening week is great if tickets are

available and whenever the group wants to go is fine with us. I am so looking forward to this

show and the music sounds wonderful--can't wait until March when we can get the entire score.

I hope and pray that this is a success in London. Please let us know here on the thread as

new info becomes available.

Thanks, Deb. I will be pre-ordering it, maybe not for awhile if it isn't coming out until March.

Maybe I should--want it the very first minute it becomes available! Well, can't say my advanced

age has done a thing for my patience. LOL.

Count me in! I'd love to try to make it up to NY for the opening, and would LOVE to meet you lovely gals and start seriously putting some names to faces!

As a side note, GALS has been so good for me! This truly is a wonderful, loving, supportive, silly, friendly, and fun fan community! :grouphug:

WOW...that song is so beautiful and yes, please let it be made into a movie with Gerry and Emmie and Patrick and everyone from the original cast!

I think I may like to be included in this trip to NY...depending on finances...but I think I may be able to swing it...so count me as a YES! I'm going! (I hope)...

Thanks for the link Deb.

hugs,

Sue

I read some stuff that says The Girys try to kill Christine. Does anyone know if that is true?

Some Leroux fans are mad about this version of the Phantom story they says it ruins ALW's first version needs no sequel. Of course some of these people are pretty mean in their reviews of Gerry's Phantom.

Have any of you seen this stuff on the web?

Love,

Tracy

I am looking now, Deb.

I am listening to this now, while this guy is no Gerry. I have chill bumps.

I am just glad the character of Meg is in the sequel. I definitely disagree with the people who disliked Joel and Gerry's version of Phantom.

Love,

Tracy

P.S. Another place said that what they hate is that the Phantom's glorious moment is stolen from him by having a sequel because what they think is Erik by putting Christine's happiness before his own. Darn it I saw the costumes yesterday, but I cannot find it.
