Gerard Butler says he is "boring". The 'Ugly Truth' actor would rather spend time at home with his pals than attend a glitzy showbiz bash. He is quoted as saying: "I just like to go back home and chill out with my friends. It sounds really boring but it's true." Gerard enjoys being pampered on film sets when he is shooting movies all over the world and admits he struggles to adjust to normal life when he returns home. The 39-year-old Hollywood hunk explained: "Sometimes I finish a movie and I get used to a certain lifestyle and when that stops I get a bit lost for about a week. 'No one is bringing me lunch anymore - I've got to go do that myself?' I lose the main point of my focus. "Often all I want to do is travel and just get the hell out of there. But I'm actually boring really." Well, he can come to my place and we can be "boring" together anytime. I'm sure we can find some way to pass the time! :-)

Guest
That's because he probably has too many "people" around him while he is working and assisting him and it gets quiet on his down time, it could make anyone feel lost. He should get rid of some of those peeps and rely on himself more like Harrison Ford does, I was surprised to find out HF does not nor I think never had any PR team :

HF has always been very very private, that's the reason he spends most of his time in his ranch (or he did until he divorced, I'm not sure about it now). I think Gerry likes to be surrounded by people and he feels lost when all these people are gone (people hired for production reasons). I think Gerry likes to be surrounded by people and he feels lost when all these people are gone (people hired for production reasons). yes, i agree. had a feeling that was the case. tons of action, to and fro, etc...but, everthing has a season. after living at that level of hectic activity to where one couldn't even think straight, i guess the 'quiet' & 'solitude' would be a welcomed interlude, right, after awhile it probably settles nicely. relaxing & becoming refreshed is a good thing. gerry strikes me as one who is comfortable in his own skin. it just takes time to adjust as with anything in life. my sisters 20 year marriage to a navy guy she spent approximately 6 months out of a year with...this is an adjustment, right? it's like switching from third shift work (overnights) to first shift work (day time)....its all so relative. it works out. geesh...boring? i don't think so gerry-baby. nope. i don't think so (smile)
