Just heard from the horses mouth on the audio message he left the Glasgow Convention that they are having the European Premiere in his hometown of Glasgow(date TBC). I am thrilled for Gerry as the local lad did good :wuv:

Any idea when it is? He didn't say in the message. I'd love to plan a trip!

Have no idea of date - obviously sometime before the film is released in UK on Wed 25 Nov. There is every chance it might be a charity premiere where tickets could be available to purchase. Very few major films get premiered in Scotland unless at film festivals and those outwith festivals tend to be charity affairs.

He is going to be so proud bringing this film to Scotland for all his family to see. :wuv: :wuv: :wuv:

How'd we know he's going in 3 weeks? :lmao:

This is SO AWESOME for him.

He was so excited on the message and talking about everyone celebrating.

He is so appreciative, he'll have the greatest time.

OMG!

Does this mean KILTAGE :cunning: I hope so.

Just in time for his Christmas break he always spends there too!!

I agree Cheryl. The pics with his family will be priceless :) And he you know is just baffled beyond belief.

Gerry will be doing a lot of celebrating in Scotland with his movie premiere and his 40th birthday coming up. Hope he has a great time and stays through Christmas. May we get plenty of pictures! Also, I hope he puts on just a tad of weight.

Thanks Ren :)

I still hope there is a kilt.

That would be so lovely.

He'll enjoy himself.

ETA: Oh the festivities that will ensue.

So much fun for him. I'm excited :)

.net says that the premiere is NOVEMBER 15th :)

TWO days after his big 40.

Hopefully he gets to celebrate his bday in Glasgow with some REAL food from his mama.

I'm excited for Gerry. This is what dreams are made of. He will get the recognition he needs in his hometown. I love it. I hope he will not be disappointed in any way. His family will surround him with love and support since they are his biggest fans. I am so happy for him. What a way to bring in his fortieth year!!!

Gerry, just don't let it all go to your head now Darlin... Oh wait...tehe. Congratulations on your success!

What a 40th Birthday Gerry will have. Turning the big 4-0 on Friday 13 November and premiering your film to your home crowd on Sunday 15 November. Life begins at 40 Gerry :yay::yay::wuv:

This is fantastic news it is on a Sunday so it wont interfere with work :yay::yay:

Going by previous Glasgow premieres and we do not have that many up here unless at film festivals I'd expect it to be held at either Cineworld on Renfrew Street - very central but on too busy a road that I'd worry he would not be able to have much fan interaction for safety reasons, Odeon Glasgow Springfield Quay - in a leisure complex off of Junction 20 more fan friendly and more wide open area or at a push for a more smaller affair Glasgow Film Theatre on Rose Street.

I cannot think of another venue that they would hold it in unless they dont have it at a cinema.

I know in Edinburgh the Edinburgh Festival Theatre which does theatre/musicals etc was considering upgrading to be able to show movies and hold film premieres so there is maybe a similar venue in Glasgow that could do the same.

I'm so happy for Gerry...what a way to celebrate his 40th birthday with his premiere in his hometown! It will be special as his family will be able to celebrate with him too. I don't imagine Gerry will be coming back to the US the rest of this year...there's the premiere in Oslo and one in Germany and then Japan at the beginning of the year. What I wouldn't give to be there...

In Berlin. I don't know if we have the date yet, but we've read that there is one set for Berlin and he's due to be there. Could all be rumors, but that's what we've "heard".

I know about two dates in Germany...one in Berlin and the other in Munich the next day. But they said they would be promotion dates for press - not a premiere. I´m curious now what it is. *scratcheshead*

Thank you for your quick respond honey *hugs*
