framolamdu
Have no idea of date - obviously sometime before the film is released in UK on Wed 25 Nov. There is every chance it might be a charity premiere where tickets could be available to purchase. Very few major films get premiered in Scotland unless at film festivals and those outwith festivals tend to be charity affairs. He is going to be so proud bringing this film to Scotland for all his family to see. :wuv: Moira

framolamdu
What a 40th Birthday Gerry will have. Turning the big 4-0 on Friday 13 November and premiering your film to your home crowd on Sunday 15 November. Life begins at 40 Gerry This is fantastic news it is on a Sunday so it wont interfere with work Moira
framolamdu
Going by previous Glasgow premieres and we do not have that many up here unless at film festivals I'd expect it to be held at either Cineworld on Renfrew Street - very central but on too busy a road that I'd worry he would not be able to have much fan interaction for safety reasons, Odeon Glasgow Springfield Quay - in a leisure complex off of Junction 20 more fan friendly and more wide open area or at a push for a more smaller affair Glasgow Film Theatre on Rose Street. I cannot think of another venue that they would hold it in unless they dont have it at a cinema. I know in Edinburgh the Edinburgh Festival Theatre which does theatre/musicals etc was considering upgrading to be able to show movies and hold film premieres so there is maybe a similar venue in Glasgow that could do the same. Dragon Slayer
I'm so happy for Gerry...what a way to celebrate his 40th birthday with his premiere in his hometown! It will be special as his family will be able to celebrate with him too. I don't imagine Gerry will be coming back to the US the rest of this year...there's the premiere in Oslo and one in Germany and then Japan at the beginning of the year. What I wouldn't give to be there...

I don't know if we have the date yet, but we've read that there is one set for Berlin and he's due to be there. Could all be rumors, but that's what we've "heard". Aysun
I know about two dates in Germany...one in Berlin and the other in Munich the next day. But they said they would be promotion dates for press - not a premiere. I´m curious now what it is. *scratcheshead* Thank you for your quick respond honey *hugs* Edited October 27, 2009 by Aysun
