TUT DVD countdown!

Recommended Posts

The whole DVD/Video revolution is the best thing that happened in the last 30 years. To have the ability to own your favorite movies! And its changed my movie habits. I used to follow a favorite movie from the first run movie theaters to the second run and budget movie houses. In San Francisco that would have been The Strand, going there was quite an adventure, complete with crazy men in raincoats, sticky floors and fleas! So now I allow myself three first run viewings and that’s it. And then build the anticipation for the DVD. So I’m so ready for Mike Chadway. You Mr. Chadway will be my new boyfriend! The wonder of the pause button. Subtitles to catch the dialogue I missed. Special features! The salsa scene! The elevator! Yes!

Here are a few more quick caps for you guys mostly from one of the cool features (the art of laughter: a making of hilarious proportions...the best one on the DVD in my opinion), which includes quite a lot about the dance scene:

Yes! Subtitles have become a favorite DVD feature of mine. There were some movies I had on VHS where I would only figure out certain dialogue like 5 or 10 YEARS after I'd first seen the movie! It would just suddenly click! But now, I can get the whole picture on the first viewing. Plus, they often transcribe parts that you aren't necessarily supposed to know what's being said, like when people are talking over others or mumbling in the background. There are some real hidden treasures there! Like in LAC, the scene with the bail hearing... when the judge starts banging her gavel and yelling that Clyde is out of order and he keeps talking. I was able to pull out what he was saying, and it was all so great! Anyway, random and off topic...

So TUT on DVD in 5 days... yay!

I also saw the ad on TV and of course stopped what I was doing just to watch. I can't wait to see it again as well as the extras. It will be nice to FINALLY be able to hit pause on certain scenes! :cunning:

Yes, Pause is a GALS best friend :) Can't wait 5 days!

Has it been said whether the extras on the regular DVD and the Blu-Ray are the same or different? Not that I have a Blu-Ray player but why should that stop me? LOL

I'm very impatient for the movie to come out. I really wanted to watch it last night.

Yeah, I was in the mood to see it last night too. I comforted myself by saying I can watch it on Tuesday night :)

I'm deliberately not planning to bring any work home with me Tuesday night because I know it's not going to be accomplished. We have a staff meeting until 5:30 Tuesday night. I'll stop off and pick up TUT on the way home and then settle in with a nice dinner and a movie.

The description of the DVD says that it includes the same special features as the Blu-ray. :kisswink: Can't wait!
