Vicki
Check out Gerry's 'profile' page at GMTV and tune in to watch him on today's show. Tues 11/17 - 8.30-9.25am GMTV WITH LORRAINE GERARD BUTLER - The actor tells Lorraine about his new film Law Abiding Citizen They will host video clips later in the day (or tomorrow) with his interview if you're not in their UK viewing area. Thank your very much for the link. I went onto the site and the video of the interview was up. Lorraine has a great accent - I read that she was born in Glasgow, too. How about at the end when she said he could be their weather boy if his film career doesn't work out - but she'd want him to be bare-chested and wearing a kilt. What a visual!! Kinda like this -> but with a kilt instead of a yellow towel!! Cheers, Vicki

terezoulini
Sorry if its already been posted elsewhere, I missed this today so here it is. http://wwwis outube.com/watch?v=lOoERRCMdTE enjoy! Thank you , thank you! Loved it when he said he burnt his finger pointing to the sun. :-) I also love GMTV, they put the good stuff on Youtube immediately, clips are downloadable, they make our lives so much easier. And Lorraine Kelly is my darling, such a lady. She is one my first memories when I went to the UK back in the '80s , she was still a field reporter and was reporting from a terrible oil drill fire in the North Sea. She used to end her reports with "Lorraine Kelly, TV AM, Aberdeen". She made me fall completely for Scottish acccent and I have been a sucker ever since. Broken leg aside and the fact that I missed Glasgow, these last few days are heaven for me. I can't go out or to work so I am at home all the time and I get all this Gerry juice. I could get used to this life. :-) Theresa
ANGELATHOMSON
Had to leave for work @ 8:40 this morning but have recorded GMTV Lorraine Kelly was so funny this morning she was really looking forward to seeing him again. She was trying to get into the dressing room to see him just to see if he was wearing his kilt again!!!!! Gerry was on all news channels in Scotland last night it was great I'm still recovering from Sunday!!! Looking forward to going home not long now Cheerio from Glasgow
ladyfran
Now that was a good interview....you knew she wanted to ask more questions about his dating but she kept it pretty tactful I thought...I did notice she had a wee Scottish brogue about her! I liked it much better than the radio fiasco that went on in Scotland! Barb, bet ya know what I'm gonna say.............THANK YOU! to our incredible woman that never sleeps!! Frannie Poor Baby has an eye infection. HE NEEDS SLEEP TOO!
Rendita
Thanks Barb. That was a great way to start my day. The funny thing was that I had Good Morning America on the television & muted it to watch this. Right when she said bare-chested in a kilt I glanced over and there was a bare-chested man in a "tattered" kilt. Apparently that's a new ad for Las Vegas. What are the odds of that happening? Frannie, I don't think Gerry has an eye infection. I believe he has a ruptured blood vessel in his eye. You can see it well in the picture in Dane's thread. phoenixgirl
Well, phooey I can't see it. Not sure why - probably my computer. I'll keep trying. ETA: I was able to see it on You Tube, though! Thank you Mrs. Presley for posting the link! Edited November 17, 2009 by phoenixgirl
phoenixgirl
Thank you so much!!! I wasn't able to see this on the site, but on You Tube it played pairrfectly. I liked the way Lorraine interviewed him. Even when she brought up the gossipy stuff it wasn't done with that "so is this true" attitude; it was more of a "this is crazy" feel to it. She definitely liked him, which always makes for a sweet interview. Poor Gerry with his eye ... he really could probably use a week of sleep. He was so very funny and humble, as always. I LOVE waking up to all this Gerry goodness!

Oh my goodness....I didn't know that...I did notice on the premiere interview he seemed to have grimaced and shut his eyes like he had a pain or a headache...did anyone else see that? Might have been bothering him than...I wouldn't be a bit surprised if he blew it out with all the yelling he was doing during the JR show...remember he started losing his voice? Anyway, am I stoopid? Where is Danes thread?? Frannie Edited November 17, 2009 by ladyfran
Cassey
Thank you for posting, what a lovely interview, so calm and relaxed and now he looks much younger. I get the eye thing with stress as well, it has to do with high pressure under stress for me. The man needs to rest he has been going non stop. guselsie
Thank you so much for the link. I can watch him forever and not get tired of him. He looks soooooo tired though. It has to be alot of work promoting his movies. Hopefully he will have a little rest while visiting his family etc.
bellawolfe
I don't look at many of the interviews with Gerry, but this was a really good one. It's refreshing to see an interview where Gerry looks relaxed and comfortable, and the interviewer isn't just trying to wheedle mundane crap out of him. ~Bella
Matreshka
I read in the newspaper I bought in Glasgow that he had a burst blood vessel in his eye the morning of the premiere and he said he didn't know where it came from. That's just what I read. Several papers also mentioned he went commando under the kilt but this was known before I think. Is there any chance to see this interview registered somewhere? Poppy
That was a wonderful interview between Gerry and Lorraine. And Lorraine has such a lovely voice. I think she really pulled the best out of Gerry too. Great interview. Linda
Jeb
What a lovely interview. It's wonderful that he's being welcomed so graciously home for his UK premiere. No one can say that 'nobody' knows who he is anymore. Somebody knows who he is! LOL And many of them from Scotland as well as other places have been fans for awhile. It just takes a bit for celebrity faces to register on the average consciousness. Another great interview. jane Edited November 17, 2009 by Jeb
ladyfran
That's so true Jane! Yeah I guess the day's of people looking at me like I got two heads and asking "Who is Gerard Butler" I'll show them a picture and say in my best Scottish accent" Well remember the face then" Frannie Edited November 17, 2009 by ladyfran

I so know the feeling, dear! What you older fans must have been through all these years! At least I was lucky because just when I was beginning to despair, TUT came out and I had ammunition to easily butlerise people. :-) Imagine how painful it was last August when every Scottish person I met in Glasgow didn't have a clue! BTW, when I say "older" members, I don't mean age wise, I mean how long they have been fans. Theresa

When I gave birth to my oldest son I broke all the blood vessels in my face and eyes. It doesn't hurt at all, but his looked different than what I had done. I hope he's not in any pain at all (we need a sad smilie). Hopefully now that the hoopla of everything is over, he'll have a chance to just relax and get some rest. Rubee815
I’ve had the broken eye vessel thing happen to me a couple of times, didn’t feel a thing, one time I had a bad case of the flu, and the other time there seemed to be no reason at all. It clears up in a few days.
