I took these this morning. The dogs were enjoying their morning walk so I took the opportunity to get some pictures. The temperature last night got down to about -12c...

Your pictures are pretty although I lived in an area where snow was piled as high as some peoples roofs...But as cold and a pain in the Arse that it is it is still so pretty when you see scenes like the ones you posted! Thanks...

Awww! Beautiful jojo, thanks! I was just thinking the other day that Scotland must be a very Christmas-y locale. :) Hopefully I'll get to come and experience it for myself one of these days. In the meantime, thanks for posting pics and letting me live vicariously through you!

Wow, Jo! You have some classy neighbors! I lived in Alaska, North Dakota and Cape Cod for a total of 14 years, so I HATE snow! However, your beautiful pictures made me want to at least LOOK at snow again! Thank you for posting them!

They are so beautiful, Jo, they make me daydream!

I wish you can have your next photoshoot with Gerry. I'll tell him to give you a call when he comes over for New Year's. How far is Comrie from where you are, an hour? An hour and a half? Piece of cake! :-)

Thanks for sharing!

Glad you all like them. Its just a very heavy frost that hasn't melted for 3 or 4 days. We haven't had much snow yet. This area doesn't get nearly as much snow as it used. According to some people, it used to start in October and snow right through until March. That's climate change for you.

Suzie, I know what you mean. I can't stand snow either. It can be pretty to look at, but after the first five minutes, I get sick of it. It's so disruptive.

I live very close to two big ski centres. I'm sure they wish we had more snow. There are maybe 3/4 weeks of good skiing snow a year. I don't know how the keep going. Some places in the UK (not everywhere) can't handle even a little flurry of snow. Schools close, business shut, public transport stops running, traffic on the roads grinds to a halt.

Theresa, a GAL can only dream right? :cunning:

:wuv: Really nice neighbourhood you have there! I however live in Quebec; and here we brush our teeth then shovel the snow....every day!...Sometimes even twice a day...UGH! :tantrum: I used to enjoy the winters and do a lot of cross country skiing but then one year I went alpine skiing and ended up in the hospital over Christmas and New Years Eve with two legs in a cast from my thighs to my ankles. Now I just go out as needed and do all my jogging on a treadmill in the warmth of the house.
