Bad boy or not, you gotta love a man who loves his Momma. :)

Thanks for that smile this morning, Sav.

Lisa

Yep, you know how a man is going to treat you by how he treats his mother..

Oh what a sweet thing to do for your parents. I just love that man! Being close to your family is one of the key traits I want in a man. I saw his mum and stepdad in the audience of Regis and Kelly and they look like a sweet couple. Ger, you're the best! :wuv:

Don't you just want to hug the stuffin' outa him!

"Hug the Stuffin" I can work with that!:cunning:

Was this REALLY a surprise? I thought we knew he was going before Saturday??? Could be I'm confusing my days and info. But I could have sworn it was mentioned on THIS board that he was going to Scotland before heading to Serbia.

He is such a sweet man! It just shows that he is real. His acting is a career & he doesn't act like a "movie star". His mom must be so proud of him as I'm sure she is of all her children.

You're right, we did know, probably around the middle of last week, that he was planning to be in Scotland. He mentioned it during a radio interview. Could be they didn't know he'd make it back in time for the party.

Incidentally, I don't require any special actions on his part to want to "Hug the Stuffin" out of him. I could do that at any time...........I'm just saying. He's quite huggable just generally. :)

Thats exactly what I thought - he said on Real Radio he was coming back in the next few days so the whole world knew he was coming to Scotland :lmao:

Maybe his folks dont listen to the radio or read the Scottish newspapers or have a google alert on Gerry :rotflmao:

Or maybe they know, like the rest of us, he has NO filter. Ignored the slip and acted surprised so not to ruin it for him. Mums earn Oscars every day with such things.

That was very sweet of Gerry and I hope some day my 2 boys grow up and treat their mother with respect and kindness the same way as Gerry does for his mum! I hope they all had a wonderful evening and congrats to Gerry's parents on their 25th anniversary.

Just to add a little anecdote of my own, when I was 19 my mom worked in an office in the Twin Towers. I lived in California, and hadn't seen my mom in a while. My father paid for me to come to New Jersey to see him, but it wasn't a good visit. So without telling my mother, I drove from New Jersey to The Trade Center and surprised her with a visit. I made arrangements with her supervisor (you had to be granted access to go up), but I surprised the hell out of her. She was so grateful, and it made me feel really good to make my mom happy.

I hope that's what Gerry and his mom (and Alex) felt when he surprised them. It's really a wonderful feeling to make your parents smile like that. :)

He's a wonderful inspiration in so many ways.

I was hoping he was going to be home for Easter

when he said that on the radio, I had no idea

it was his Mum's anniversary. How sweet to be

there on such a special occasion as their 25th.

That means his Mum raised him until he was 15

by herself, and his siblings were older so she

really did raise them alone. No wonder he is

so proud of her and so close to her.

Yes he is amazing in more ways than one and we

all knew that already.

Love him absolutely,

Sandy
