Oh Cat, I can only imagine how hard it is to leave your lovely new home so soon...but I know you'll have a wonderful time. Please share some of those pictures with us. Whether it is as POTO or ghouls I'm sure you too will be standouts!!!

Thanks for all the nice comments about my boys. I have about four videos of Bryan and B2 on the slides and in the water from that weekend and I can't tell you how many times I have watched them in the past few weeks...lol. It makes me feel closer to them. I'll be leaving Friday to go down there as Saturday is my Fynnigan's first birthday. They are planning a big party for him at his other grandma's house in Napa so I'll be seeing quite a few of my family this next weekend.

Judy, a bigger screen means bigger Gerry :drool1::yummy: ... lol.

hugs to all.

love,

Sue

Hi,Gals.Sorry I haven't been around a whole heck of alot.Been alot going on.Half the time whem it says I'm on FB,I'm not at my desk lol Been dealing with alot of legal stuff. And alot of stuff with the boys'Dad.And the boys. He's away for a week on business,so I have until Friday to have a rest. *knock on wood* I've driven down to Memphis 3 times in the last 3 days. My youngest had his birthday on Saturday.(have the pics on my fb,ask if you want the link) I had the boys from 2-7 and then had to take them back and go to get them again at 4:30 the next day. My mom their 'Ma' and I took them to a place called "Paint a Piece" and let them paint a 6" tile,I'll pick it this weekend and then we went and rode the carousel at a mall and the train and then we went and had Starbucks(decaf for them) They thought that was just the coolest thing ever lol Then today we had dr's checkups and 3 yr check up for my youngest. He is above average in height and average in weight, above average in verbal skills, above average in strength(I saw him pick up 15 lbs a few weeks ago). And we are going to an Ortho. because his foot turns in and he drags it a little when he walks. So we're going to have that checked out.But aside from that,he's doing great.

I sold a baby cocoon yesterday to Reverie Photography. They comissioned me to figure out how to make one awhile back, and I got it to them. They are supposed to be ordering another.(Yay!)

Wish I could watch the videos, dialup stinks. But I'm sure the kids are adorable :)

We finally got some rain here in West TN.And it has been great! Humid but we got a break from the heat.YAY! Hey ya'll on the East Coast, watch out for the hurricane.

gonna run now.Hugs all around.

Hi Andrea!

Thanks for thinking of us on the East Coast. Yeah, we are just waiting here in Delaware--not knowing what to do about EARL. Literally depends on which way the wind blows! Please pray EARL passes by-- more out in the ocean than hugging the coast. Will get heavy flooding rains at the very least. The beaches are already being pummelled by high waves, etc. Rip tides have already drowned a vacationer his weekend at the beach. Can be so dangerous.

I usually do a little preparing with storing water to use in case power outages, etc. Checking supplies and batteries and all that.

Take care, galfriends on East coast.

Diane

Yes,do be careful and get prepared.I've been watching the forecast for Earl alot. It's literally like you said, depending on which way the wind blows. They have no clue for sure where it's going.Because they are waiting on a high pressure trough to push across the US to nudge it off shore. Atleast one island in N.C. is evacuating now. And did you see how close behind Earl Fiona is? She looks like she could run into him.But I'm not sure if that's scientifically possible. But it is freaky to watch.(on radar)

Hi there! My summer vacation is over and I'm back to work :(  and hopefully, to my PC :p  And I'm gonna make myself noticed by you time after time. If only you could know how much I missed you gals! I've found out that you started a new topic and had to spend some time reading all your messages.

Congratulations to everyone who have occasions and hugs to everyone who need them

Andrea, you are in my prayers! Hope the situation will turn out for the best.

Melodie, I'm so happy you celebrated Carter's first B-Day! :)

I spent few weeks at my aunt's looking after her house and watching my cousins, visiting my friends and listening to good music.

I've been torturing myself with hard physical exercises for the last few days, for I found two extra kg on my body. I can't actually locate where they've "landed" because all my clothes fit me perfectly, but still scales say that they are. Now each part of my body hurts me so much! And that sucks. And this morning I woke up and found a split in one of my front (not sure if it is the right word) tooth. I don't know the reason why it appeared and even when  :( Gotta find a good dentist for my teeth were perfect till this day, and now this! Argh!  :tantrum:

Peggy!!!! Posted Image sweetie. It's so good to see you. How are you? How is Ron doing? I heard from Frannie that he was back in the hospital and had to have his gall bladder removed. I pray he is doing well now.

Welcome back Irene!

FCT, we are all in the same boat....missing our weekly if not daily dose of Gerry sightings :tissues: but I guess he is busy working and South Africa probably doesn't have as many pesky paps as US and Europe has. Actually I thought there have been quite a few Gerry movies on this past month on my channels. Ugly Truth, LAC, Reign of Fire, Tomb Raider, and Rock n Roller.

Andrea...a baby cocoon....that sounds so cute. Any pics so we can see what your latest project looks like?

I'll be heading down to the bay area tomorrow. Saturday is my Fynnigan's 1st birthday. Where does the time go??

hugs to all.

love,

Sue

:thankyou: Galfriends,

Earl has been a gentleman and passed by us here. No power outages and there was only a little rain and slight breeze where I live inland. Not certain how the beaches are but I think they are ok just high surf and crashing waves with rip tides. I don't plan on going anywhere near the beaches this weekend due to Labor Day traffic and certainly have no plans to go surfing ( ;) LOL, like I would if I could!

Sue, Have a wonderful time with your family and Happy Birthday to Fynnigan. Yep, a year can just roll by! My oldest grandaughter now 3 years old and her baby sister now 1 year old both had their birthdays last week, too. We will have a delayed BD party for them on Sept. 12. Can't wait to see them soon.

Thanks for your prayers and concern. I prayed that others did not have it too bad from the hurricane.

SO nice to hear from some of you who have been absent for awhile.

Just wanted to wish everyone a safe and happy weekend. Anyone threatened by EARL: I'll be praying for

your safety and that little or no damage is done by the nasty hurricane.

Our weather is strange--had a week of cloudy, very cool weather, and then WHAM, two days of mid 80's.

Forcast is back down for the rest of the weekend, but NO RAIN forcast, which is good for those at the

college football game and those having outdoor activities. We did get some rain on one day. This is OREGON,

it's supposed to rain! (And often does of the 4th of July and Labor Day.)

Anyway, hugs to all, and be safe.

Judy

 everyone! I hope all of you in Earl's path have been able to stay safe and as dry as possible. We've gotten some much needed rain here yesterday and today, and the temperatures were a little cooler. 80s as opposed to the usual upper 90s. I managed to strain my back at work one week ago today and have been resting at home except for my Wednesday Gerry day outing with Suzie....Hey, I'd have to either be in the hospital ( as a patient) or Vegas to miss Gerry day! Anyway, I was scheduled to work 3 days this week, but called in for all of them. There's no way my back could take a 12hr shift lifting babies, pushing cribs, and bending over while assisting mothers with infant care. I've been mostly lying around reading Phantom novels. :phantom2::phantom::erik: I've read so many over the past few days the plots are all starting to run together! :butterfingergif: Anyway, the plan now is for me to work a 12hr shift on Sunday.

Hugs to all!

Hi Everybody,

Well, I am trying to get into school, but I may not be able to this semester as the fire in the glass blowing room has made everything a mess. Not the fire per se, but the gas lines need to be replaced and the fire marshall has said that no braising or bronzing can be done this next YEAR!!!!!!! So I may not be able to get into class this semester. They are limiting Independent Study Students because of room. I'm still trying, but I can always finish 'Gerry' 2 next fall!!!

It's only four weeks 'til Dana and Jose' get married. I am already in tears. I miss my babies sooooooo much. They moved into their own apartment in July and I have been so lonely sometimes I cry a wee bit!! But I am soooo proud of them. They are paying for this wedding pretty much all on their own. So we are all going to get together and give them money for their wedding gift from us in the family!!! I will take lots of pics so I can share my happiness and pride with you all.

Well, just wanted to say HI and let you al know I have started ornaments already and this year I have a new idea!! I am making one for Kathy right now and if it turns out well, I'll ask her to put a pic on line and if anyone wants one to let me know and they will get a verra special price of a verra special man!!!

Well, got a lot to do tomorrow with Dana and my friend.....so to bed and I'll be back soon. Miss Ya All lots,

Jo

I have just got to get myself a new Gerry siggy. I'm just drooling over the awesome sigs that so many of you are displaying and I no longer have a photo editing program since I got a new computer with Windows 7 and my photo program doesn't function on it.

Jo - I'm so sorry about your school situation. Hopefully you'll be able to get back to it soon.

I've been absent a lot these past many months and I apologize. My life has been on a roller coaster ride since last fall and every time it looks as though the ride will stop so I can step off and catch my breath the dang thing starts up another hill, or flies around another corner. Some of it is amazingly good and some of it is not, but I've been forcing myself to focus on the positive and even to find the silver lining in the not-so-positive.

My most recent sock to the gut has been the most shocking and difficult for me so far. A week ago Friday I was told that I've managed to make my position at my company "redundant" after nearly 13 years. Apparently I did such a good job of following what I was told to do - delegating and training those beneath me - that I am no longer needed because they figure the people I trained can now do my job better than I can. I am shocked, hurt, angry but also trying to look at this philosophically. The last time I lost my job, 13 years ago, it was because there was something better for me out there and I found it. I believe this time the intent may be for me to move out of the corporate "box" and into non-profit work. I've loved doing things for charities and for social causes for the past few years and there might be a career opportunity in there for me. So that is what I'm going to look for now. I will get a severance package which will help ease the transitional period, and thankfully I still have some money sitting in the bank from the sale of my father's property after he passed away in February. It isn't a lot, but it is a cushion I hope I won't need but I'm grateful that I have it.

I've been doing quite a bit of traveling, calling it my Summer of Love tour - following the tour of that guy who is with me in my current siggy. I've been to 10 of his shows so far and they just keep getting better. In 2 weeks my tour ends with his 3 concerts in Florida. I already had this booked and most of it paid for before finding out my job situation so I am still going (praying that hurricanes stay away for that weekend)!! When I get back from Florida I will start meeting with people who might be able to help me make connections in the non-profit sector, and then I seriously begin my search for the new path I believe I am meant to take.

Hopefully I will get more chances to check in here and keep up with everyone. I have been enjoying Gerry's look while he is filming MGP, and since I have been a fan of motorcycles since I was a teenager I think I am really going to enjoy seeing him in this movie, despite the parts of the story that are heartbreaking.

OH Susan!

Thinking of you with lots of love here these days.....for good and for rocky.

You have been our rock here in the support center ..... and we will be yours.

Enjoy your time in Florida on the Summer of Love Tour --- and I agree with you -- I think the world of non-profit may be your very ticket!

Lots of love,

Jill

Sorry for disrupting the lustiness but I need help regarding the Cinemax videos or lack thereof in the Multimedia section! Does anyone have them loaded to their computer and they could email them? I really wanted to see Gerry interview Z! Please message me if you could! Love, light and peace. Continue with the madness!

Susan, I'm so sorry. You'd think after 13 years you would have much better job security. Well, what goes around comes around and they will discover how valuable you were soon. I do hope that you find good work in non-profit, that sounds great! Give AL our love! :kisswink:

might find a new career that will be most fullfilling. Am very glad you have had the AL "experience" and

these are the things that keep us "alive" and happy, aren't they? Just wanted to let you know I am among

those offerring support and encouragement.

Susan,I am so,so sorry to hear about your job. That is horrible.

BV!!!!!!! Hello! I'm glad you had a mostly good Summer but I am glad to see you back around here. And thankyou for the prayers,I am still in need of them. I have an ongoing trial to get through.Which I'd rather not post in public,if you want to know message me. Don't worry about the extra kgs if you can't find them lol just kidding.I am working out alot myself. I managed to loose 30 lbs since January and i've upped my excercise routine and lowered my calories to get that little bit of extra baby weight off of me and tone things up. SO if you are sore, know that I am right there with you.lol That is just awful about your tooth.Freaky.

I hope you have all had a good labor day weekend. And I'm glad Earl weakened. I had an ok weekend,my boys were gone to their dads for the weekend.I went fishing on Saturday with one of my friends.I actually got sunburned, which rarely happens to me,I think it was because of some of the meds I am on right now.But it has turned into a tan now.But I look awfully funny because I didn't wear a sleevless shirt so that muscle at the top of your arm...from their up my arm is ivory, from there down it's caramel colored lol I have a "V" on my chest from my tshirt(should've worn a scoop neck) and my crocs are ballet style...so the tops of my feet are tan and my toys are ivory.lol I need to even things up somehow. I didn't catch any fish,I just fed the turtles all my bait. They love me now. :) But I still had fun.I love being near the water even if I didn't catch anything.I'd like to do it again very soon. Other than that,I didn't do anything except grocery shop and drive back and forth to the big city for church and then to get my boys.I am so happy to have my boys home! And they start pre-K this week! So..that's what's going on with me.

Hugs to all.

Forgot, here's what a baby cocoon looks like .I made a green one My link

Hi GALS!

Andrea: Haha! I hate that kind of suntan for I get it too often  :D That's why as soon as summer comes I always hide myself from the sun (like a vampire) 'till the day I have the possibility to get a real sunbath

Glad your boys are starting learning this week! It is so important to arouse children's interest in learning!

Have a great day gals! Hugs!

:hello: Och, I don't want to forget anything.....

Susan - (1) I'm so bummed about your job. Same thing happened to me 16 years ago so I said f* it and retired. Best thing I ever did! :yay: (But they shot themselves in the foot, screwed up state & federal environmental enforcement, called me back as a consultant, and paid me my original environmental engineer salary)! :pointy: So Don't worry, I'm sure something good is waiting for your around the next corner.

(2)Florida???? If you're anywhere near Jacksonville and I didn't know it... :tantrum:

Joanna - Geez, this man is beyond pair-fection. Your siggy....its, uh, gosh it's hot in here...better go sit down before I...(too late) :faint:

Mousie - hi, just want to say my 14 year old black & white kitty's name is Mouse, but I've called him Mousie or Baby Mousie for so long that his whiskers stick straight out and he gets all mushy!

....Paula

Thank you all for your encouragement. Right now I'm just looking around my office and getting dizzy trying to figure out how I'm getting all my personal stuff out of here. I have the most personalized office in the company - Gerry, Adam, other artists and musicians I like, books and toys and all sorts of stuff. I'm going to ask my husband to come by the office with his SUV on Thursday and pack up as much as will fit in there. I just don't want to sit in a bare office all week so I've avoided taking too much out just yet. That would make this week even more depressing than it is bound to be.

@Paula - no, I don't think I'll be anywhere near Jacksonville when I get to Florida. I'll fly into Ft. Lauderdale, drive up to Melbourne then across to St. Pete and then back down to Ft. Lauderdale. I don't even think I'll have time to stop in Orlando which was my old stomping grounds when I lived in Florida from 1980-83.

Hope everyone had a safe and happy Labor Day.
