phoenixgirl
These pictures are HILARIOUS. Gerry chasing off a photographer, and doing it with a smile and laughing (and of course, the phone glued to his head). http://justjared.buz...omment-17351168 Gerry looks so great in the posed pictures!! He looks young and healthy and happy! He looks really young in this pic: http://cdn.buzznet.com/media/jj1/2010/12/butler-photographer/gerard-butler-photographer-fun-02.JPG I'm wondering if he purchased that piece of art he's posing next to? Gorgeous! Lisa Edited December 5, 2010 by phoenixgirl

phoenixgirl
There have been other pics cropping up and he doesn't look as jovial in those. However ... HE'S WEARING A YANKEES HAT!!!! That makes me really really happy in a silly way. LOL
GBPhanatic
I saw some photos of him with his friend who was wearing the Yankee's hat and had what looked like Gerry's infamous "c**k" cap in his pocket, so I don't think it belongs to Gerry. And if that was indeed the "fowl" cap, as much as we have all enjoyed the levity of it, I think it's time has run it's course and now it should take it's place on that big hat rack in the sky. Or maybe Gerry should have it bronzed or auction it off for charity or toss it in to the Atlantic! It's time to let go! I hope Gerry was behaving himself with the paps. He should know by now the more he reacts to their tactics, the better they like it! Delene
framolamdu
He can't retire the c**k Hat - his location in that hat can be seen from outer space He maybe just realised the art exhibit was not the right place to be seen in it. Moira I think you're right, Moira. I always believed a man was suppose to remove his cap/hat when he was indoors but maybe that's an outdated mode of etiquette these days. Then again, perhaps he needs to hide some serious "bed head". That's the downside of long hair, as it's not as easy to keep under control. However, perhaps the hat has become such a staple of his attire that when he noticed the paps, he did a quick switch-a-roo with Freddy hoping to throw them off! Moira I agree on all counts. LOL He'll never retire the hat; it's HIM. And I have a picture of Gerry in a Yankee hat and so I'm verra happy. But I do think you and Delene are right about the switcheroo. Good thing Freddy had a hat on! LOL

Wendy Muir
Some guy at PWSpoilers has gotten his hands on some old pictures of Gerry & is passing them off as being taken on this most recent trip to Miami. They are suggesting that he has had some work done. When you see the pics you'll recognize them. I tried but couldn't find them in the gallery. They are suggesting that he has had some work done. When you see the pics you'll recognize them. I tried but couldn't find them in the gallery. I had trouble getting them to come up for me. I only got three and those were all the recent ones at the art exhibit. Are you talking about the ones of him taken when he was in Southbeach a couple of years ago? Gerry looks the same to me but I do think his hair makes him look a tad younger maybe. Really when I say "younger" I mean he looks like a scruffy twentysomething and I'm not fond of the look. I hope Gerry's not one of those who don't age well in terms of allowing themselves to dress and act age appropriately. There's nothing that makes someone look older then trying to look too young. I like Gerry when he looks like a hot 41 year old man, like in the L'Oreal still of him with the short hair and clean shaven. Now that's sexy! phoenixgirl
I agree, Delene. I love that Gerry looks like a 41 year old man; however, Hollywood has other ideas. It wouldn't surprise me if he did a little work on the crows feet (that we all love so much). I don't think he messes with anything else, though, due to the nerve damage in his beautiful face. This is solely my own opinion, though. I also think the longer hair makes him look 10 years younger, and if the gossips can't understand that it's their problem. Everyone changes over time, and Gerry is one of those men whose looks change with the seasons. LOL Whatever he does or looks like, he's beautifully perfect for me. lovetheeloquence
I love the hat, and Gerry obviously does too. If he likes it so much, there probably is a personal reason. He's just like the rest of us...he has his own quirks. That hat is WAY more appropriate than many caps and shirts I've seen on other people in other less appropriate places. I say let him have his fun. As far as aging. Men in the film business have many, many more opportunities at any age than women do. Look at Clint Eastwood. He never has had plastic surgery and still the man is a gorgeous man. Paul Newman looked completely and utterly handsome right up to the day he died. Sometimes Gerry looks better than others...so do I. I think he strives to find a balance between having to maintain a certain "look" for a film or event, and then relaxing and doing what he wants for a bit. Geez, I can't imagine how tiring it would be to try to look "perfect" knowing every time you poke your head out in public someone is waiting to take your photo. That has got to be just about the worst aspect of celebrity. I've never seen Gerry at any period in time when he didn't have good days and bad in the photos we get on Gals. Hmmm...he's just like the rest of us. He just wants to be a regular person and live as regular a life as he can. He isn't fussy. That's great. The "regular guy" part of Gerry is part of what makes him a notch higher than many celebrities in my book. He keeps entertaining us, that's the best thing. Lisa Hi Lisa, I agree with you, even on his worst day he still gets my motor running. I am curious, though, what kind of nerve damage does he have? I never heard that before. Of course, last spring I didn't even know who he was! Just think of all I was missing. . . IMHO Gerry is still pretty authentic and hasn't sold out to the establishment. It seems to me that he spiffs up when he really needs to, but the rest of the time he's just a regular guy. Incredibly gorgeous and sexy, but pretty down-to-earth. phoenixgirl
On the Jay Leno Show last March, Gerry discussed his ear sticking out and that he had some problems with his ears as a kid (I think tubes) and they did a surgery and there was some minor damage done and that's why the left side of his mouth seems to droop. We find it ridiculously sexy; but there is medical reasoning behind it. LOL I'm not sure if I have the story 100%, but that's the gist of it I think. You can watch the show in our Multimedia section I believe. Hope that helps. Lisa

The more you watch him, the more noticeable it is, especially in his earlier roles like Timeline and even in TR2, and really in 300 as well. His little "impediment" is just sexy as hell. phoenixgirl
Impediment?? Frannie Oh good lord I shouldn't have used that word obviously. I've been watching Grey's Anatomy all weekend so please excuse the terminology (which was in quotes anyway). No need to get into a debate over it. LOL Gerry's mouth droops to the left, we all know it and I used a strong word to describe it. Sorry. Paisleyscot
Yep the way he talks out of the side of his mouth is pretty sexy I think we need to NOT ad any fuel to the fire that the rags are saying about Gerry having some work done. He has stated himself that he's been working out and taking care of himself. Beingin really fit and in condition makes you look younger and healthier. So let's just drool over the hottness of the photos please Thanks all, Cheryl

Moira I totally agree, Moira. The C**k Hat is totally Gerry. It SUITS him, and the Rooster is hisChinese Horoscope character. I think it would be horrific if he retired it, it is part of his persona now. Love him absolutely, C**k Hat and All, Sandy

It also made his right ear sink in. He had the left ear pinned back right after Tomb Raider so that they now match. He told the whole story on Leno the night he sang "LA Woman", but we had heard it before. The surgery left a "bells palsy" type of droop. It seems more noticeable when he is tired.
