MissSilverWolff
I don't know where to fit this but i figure to place it in a random spot where it belongs. On Saturday last, I finally got to see this movie. I bought it used for two bucks! Two blasted buckaroos. It ran through the whole movie without skipping, which is common for movies that cheap. I fell in love with Merek(?) and his personality. Blame my friends' mum for saying that he was lovely in the movie, otherwise i wouldn't have seen it. It kind of makes me want to see it again and enjoy a good movie. Ah well, I just figured to say what was needed to say before i forgot. I know i tend to forget things like that. So, yeah. Time for running around doing errands. Lovely. Silver.
AbandonThought
Gerry was the only good thing about that movie! The book was amazing, but the movie just butchered the story. And Frances O'Connor (who played Kate) is just atrocious. Still, overall the film has a charm about it thanks to Gerry!! Marek is one of my favorite characters. I love his strength, chivalry, gallantry, and passion for Archaeology. Last year I wrote a novel whose main character was based on Marek. Steph
Texas gramma
Timeline was my first Gerry movie "way back when"! It's still one of my favorites! Suzie
MissSilverWolff
Well, i have never read the book. Then, again. I don't get into that stuff too much. Maybe for Back to the Future or something like that. I thought Kate was okay. But the nerdy guy that freaked out about everything kinda ticked me off after a couple minutes. Ah well. It was a good movie overall. Silver.
irish
I loved the movie but that was because of Marek ... I never really thought of the movie without Gerry. I probably would have enjoyed it ONCE if Gerry wasn't in it..... but I wouldn't have watched it a zillion times like I have ... lol ... I also didn't read the book but I have read a lot of Steph's and I really think THAT would make a good movie.
sweetquebecer
Hello! I'm so happy, they will air "Timeline" tomorrow night on Quebecer television!!!!! I've already seen it many times but be sure I'll watch it again, I have a big crush for André Marek, he's not perfect, very passionnate about archeology and history, intense, very handsome!!!!!! I love him so much!!!! Not to mention the beautiful landscapes in Charlevoix and Rawdon, in Quebec!!!! Josée
Lady Ski Bum
Gerry was great in Timeline, and since I had read the book ahead of the movie it made it easier to understand what the technical conversations were referring to in the movie and the importance of the guy running down the road and in the hospital at the beginning of the movie. I recommend the book to anyone who likes action adventures and Michael Crichton has always been a favorite author (Andromeda Strain, Jurassic Park, Rising Sun, etc.).
