Special Prayers for Frannie

Recommended Posts

Frannie,

There are no words that will comfort you at this time, but know that there are those who understand and can help you get through this. The organization that helped me the most was:

The Compassionate Friends

If you feel the need to talk, a shoulder, an arm to lean on, and/or someone to help you up when you fall, I'm here for you.

Dear Sister of my heart,

I tossed and turned all night and finally gave up trying to find solace through sleep. Instead I laid there and just prayed and prayed for you Frannie and your Bobby and the rest of the family. I don't even know if you've reached New York yet .... but I'm praying that when you do your family will just hold you in their arms and that you will feel the love of the Lord and the love of all of us here.

I'm here if you should need me.

Love,

Sue

"The Weaver"

This poem was such a comfort to me after Dan'l went home to be with the Lord and I

hope it will bring you some comfort as well.

My life is but a weaving;

Between My God and me.

I do not choose the colors;

He worketh steadily.

Oft times He weaveth sorrow;

And I in foolish pride;

Forget He sees the upper;

And I the underside.

Not till the loom is silent;

And the shuttle cease to fly;

Will God unroll the canvas;

And explain the reasons why.

The dark threads are as needful,

In the skillful weavers hand;

As the threads of gold and silver

In the pattern He has planned.

Dearest Frannie; I just logged on today since I was away visiting my daughter who just turned 40 this week; and noticed this thread. I am so sorry for you loss and my heart is breaking for what you are going though. Having not seen my own son in about 3 years; he lives far away; it is aways on my mind that the unthinkable might happen.My heart goes out to you and all your family at this time. Hugs May

Irish,

Guess we are sisters of the heart. I too tossed & turned all night - I feel so helpless for our friend in this time of need. I want to hold and hug her so much. Your words are just beautiful here and I know, Frannie, Bobby and her family know how much love that all of us have for them.

Dearest Frannie,

You know I'm here for you like so many others - please if there is anything I can do to ease your pain - please don't hestiate to ask. You are so special to me.

Love, Hugs, & Prayers, Barbara

Well Barbara and Sue that makes three of us. No sleep for me last night, just thinking and thinking about Frannie and what she is going through. So not fair, but who ever said life was fair. We just have to learn to cope and hope to be able to move on and survive. It is the surviving that I pray for where Frannie is concerned. She has been through so much. Her recent depression has me wondering if as a mother she had a mother's intuition that something bad was coming. That haunts me. As a mother of two sons, around Tommy's age, I have to tell you that I wish I lived closer to them both so I could wrap my arms around them and tell them how much I love them. I have this need to touch them. I will continue to send out prayers for our dear Frannie.

For my dear Frannie. Find some peace in this...

Safely Home

I am home in Heaven, dear ones;

Oh, so happy and so bright!

There is perfect joy and beauty

In this everlasting light.

All the pain and suffering is over

Every restless tossing passed;

I am now at peace forever,

Safely home in Heaven at last.

Did you wonder I so calmly

Trod the valley of the shade?

Oh! but Jesus' love illumined

Every dark and fearful glade.

And he came Himself to meet me

In that way so hard to tread

And with Jesus' arm to lean on

Could I have one doubt or dread?

Then you must not grieve so sorely,

For I love you dearly still:

Try to look beyond earth's shadows,

Pray to trust our Father's will.

There is still work waiting for you,

So you must not idly stand;

Do it now, while life remaineth-

You shall rest in Jesus' land.

When that work is completed,

He will gently call you home;

Oh, the rapture of that meeting,

Oh, the joy to see you come!

Dear Frannie,

There are no words that can be expressed as to what you are having to experience at this difficult time. Please know that you and your family are being thought of and prayed for. My heart goes out to you all and I pray that you will be comforted by one another and the memories you have of your son.

With Deepest Sympathy,

Sarah

Dearest Frannie,

I was devastated to hear about this. It's never easy to lose someone you love, but I think it can be even harder to bear when it happens so unexpectedly. Even without knowing him personally, I KNOW that Tommy was an amazing person--he was raised by you. I'm sure that wherever he is now his only sadness is to see you and the rest of your family hurting. But rest assured that he's in a wonderful place, and you will see him again.

My thoughts will be with you during this difficult time. Please let me know if there's anything that I can do.

Love,

Stephanie

Dear GALS,

I just talked to Frannie and she wants all of you to know how much she appreciates all your prayers & support. Things are very chaotic at the moment, but her Tommy had so many friends who are stopping by. She wanted me to tell you she loves all of you for your kindness. I said we all would continue to keep her and her family in our prayers at this difficult time.

Hugs, Barbara

Me dearest Lady,

I cannot express the shock and hurt this devastating mail from Sue brought.

As a mother I can only glimpse what you are going through,
the worst fear for what the world can be
to our most beloved wee ones
( they are always our children in our hearts )
is a heartbreaking reality...

I hug you from afar and pray for you and your family.

Don't Tell Me

Please don't tell me you know how I feel,
Unless you have lost your child too,
Please don't tell me my broken heart will heal,
Because that is just not true,
Please don't tell me my son is in a better place,
Though it is true, I want him here with me,
Don't tell me someday I'll hear his voice, see his face,
Beyond today I cannot see,
Don't tell me it is time to move on,
Because I cannot,
Don't tell me to face the fact he is gone,
Because denial is something I can't stop,
Don't tell me to be thankful for the time I had,
Because I wanted more,
Don't tell me when I am my old self you will be glad,
I'll never be as I was before.

What you can tell me is you will be here for me,
That you will listen when I talk of my child,
You can share with me my precious memories,
You can even cry with me for a while,
And please don't hesitate to say his name,
Because it is something I long to hear everyday,
Friend please realize that I can never be the same,
But if you stand by me,
you may like the new person I become someday.

Eva Mari, that is so perfect!! It is also so true. I know we are all lost for words to comfort Frannie because we all know that right now they fall on a lady who cannot hear right now. We can only stand by her side, even from a distance, to be ready to help if she needs our support.

Barbara...Thank you for the update. I'm so glad that Frannie knows that we are all here for her and leaving messages of condolences and comfort for her and her family.

I knew you would find something perfect EM...

Frannie, I am trying to follow what you are going through in the Long Island Newspapers....my thoughts and prayers are with you constantly. I hope you know that.

Lu, thank you for the update sweetie. Did Frannie tell you if any of the funeral arrangements have been made yet? I know that the coroner must still have Tommy's remains according to the newspapers.

Frannie made this beautiful plaque when my Dan'l passed away Posted Image ... it hangs in my great room where I read it every day and it has brought me so much comfort and now Frannie, I hope these words will comfort you as well:

Until we meet again

A light from our lives has gone,

A voice we love is stilled,

A place is vacant within our hearts,

Which never can be filled,

A bouquet of beautiful memories,

Sprayed with a million tears,

I wish he could have spared you,

If just for a few more years,

We hold you close within our hearts,

And there you shall remain,

To walk with us throughout our lives,

Until we meet again.

So rest in peace Dear loved one,

And thanks for all you've done,

We pray that God has given you,

The crown you're truly won.

Your vacant place no one can fill, I miss you now and always will....

Posted Image always!

love,

Sue

Thanks for the update; I think of Frannie every day and her great loss. There are no words that can fill the empty place in her heart right now; so I won't even try. Just know that her friends will be here at Gals if ever she feels like venting. Times like this make us realize just how important every second really is in one's life.
