Centered signature? Hmm. Every time I've tried to do that, I've gotten the words "center" on either side of the siggy. Must be doing something wrong. Oh, well, off-center siggies don't bother me. Never even noticed until you mentioned it, EM. :bonk:

Looking back over old threads and peeps that aren't here anymore has revealed A LOT of old beautiful sigs by before mentioned Lady.

Good morning, everyone! Last night, we put up the Christmas tree, which Bill has anchored to the wall. It looks very pretty. http://www.gerardbutlergals.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/smiley-tree.gif Good thing we have plenty of unbreakable ornaments! One of the kittens already climbed it. Luckily, the tree didn't fall over and nothing was broken. This evening, we'll put the nutcrackers out on the mantle. I'll post pictures when it's all done. Unfortunately, I noticed that the little varmints had chewed up two of speaker wires to our sound system for the tv, so I had to crawl back behind the tv and replace them. While moving the tv away from the wall and putting it back, I managed to pull out my back! So, I'm up early this morning, well, early for me anyway, ;) taking Advil.

EM, those northern lights pictures are beautiful! :)

This is me today.....it started yesterday while I was out ... that dreaded scratchy throat the you know means a cold is on the way.....:tissues:

Elissa, you have the patience of a saint...lol. I guess that's why I'm not a cat person (well...that and the fact I'm deathly allergic to them...lol). Thank God the two kitties I did adopt (or who adopted me) didn't mind living in the garage and were not destructive....I think I lucked out...lol

Andrea Posted Image . I woke up thinking about you today and you know I think you're right. God wanted you to know Rick .... even if for such a short period of time ... so that you can have hope ... that there is good men still out there sweetie. Hang in there.

EM, those skies are just gorgeous! WOW!

hugs to all. I think I'm going to go crawl back into bed for awhile....

love,

Sue

We finished decorating the house for Christmas today. Here are pictures of our formal dining room, informal dining area, mantle, and tree. Just hope the cats don't have it all demolished by Christmas!

Elissa, your house looks beautiful! I must come see it in person.

Sue, so sorry you have the punies and the miseries. Hope you feel better soon. I spent the day in bed yesterday buried under the electric blanket and two dogs. Had some sort of bug with the chills and the ickies. Feeling a bit better today, but still have no energy.

I have my house decorated too but three days after I got finished with the tree, one of the strings of lights right in the middle has gone out and I can't figure out why. This is the last year for those tree lights (going to buy a pre-lit tree next year) so I don't want to pay for a bunch of new lights to replace the dead ones, but I guess I'll have to.

It's finally Christmas weather here and we've actually had temps below freezing. Yea, time to light a fire and get some marshmallows!

Many hugs to all!

Suzie

Thanks Bonnie and Suzie....the chills and sore throat are gone....now it's just the congestion in the chest .... ah well.....it's that time of the year I guess. And it did keep me indoors so I finished making out my Christmas cards today. That's a good thing.

Elissa, your house does look beautiful. I love yours and Suzie's nutcracker collections.... it's one of the few (and I do mean few) things I never got into collecting and when I look at pictures of both of yours I wonder why. Get behind me temptation....lol.

Suz, I hope you feel better as well. Sorry about your lights. I went with the pre-lit trees a few years ago and have never looked back!

I just watched a PBS show on Frank Sinatra (am I giving away my age or what??) ok....he was before my time but my mom was a bobby socker at Radio City when she was young and I was raised on Sinatra.....it sure brought back some memories! Especially the last song "New York New York" {sigh}

Well, I have to go to court tomorrow afternoon. Lonnie's lawyer has petitioned to have the charges dropped on insufficient evidence again (at the same time she has appealed to a higher court to keep the grand jury testimony sealed because she says if it gets out that he will never get a fair trial). Where's Clyde????? lol. Actually I'm in the middle of reading a book "How to forgive when you don't feel like forgiving". I'm praying it's going to help me.

hugs to all.

love,

Sue

Sue, I'm not familiar enough to know the situation with Lonnie and going to Court - but I just want to say that I'm on your side and I pray favor for your family in this situation. Forgiving can be very difficult - and that's the truth. Blessings to you.

The pictures are just beautiful. I've only seen the northern lights once in my lifetime when a lived in Calgary, Alberta. I only saw them for one night but obviously, I have never forgotten. They are the most beautiful natural thing (in my loong lifetime) that I have ever seen. Thank you so very much for sharing!

Thank you!

I have been lucky enough to see this lots of times but it is not that common as far south in Norway where we live now.

In Trondheim I saw some with an American student once and she was just mesmerized and blown away.

I understand that it could be very frightening indeed if you didn't know what it was!! :kisswink:

Hugs from me

 everyone. I just got home from a doctor's appointment and lunch. It was just a routine visit to refill my synthroid, but the doc ordered a full, and I mean full, panel of labs. They took 6 tubes of blood! Anyway, he wants to see if he needs to adjust my synthroid dosage or if there's a medical reason for my gain of 25 lbs in a year! He was very diplomatic about it. Instead of saying, if there's no medical cause, then you must be overeating and not exercising enough, he said it must be a "lifestyle" issue. :hehe:

Good Saturday afternoon, Gals............it's a beautiful sunny, blue skies day in Colorado - and the snow is glistening in the lane...........hmmmmmmmm.........and on the lawns. I know it is lovely in Estes Park, right Kathy?

We're finally getting our outside lights up this afternoon. My next door neighbor, Ron, who always did the lights every Christmas died in August..........and now his widow, Lucy, and I are having someone put them up - Ron would want us to.

Hokay - have a great, great, great weekend.........and be good (SCICTT)! http://www.gerardbutlergals.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/chimney.gif

Hi everyone,

Just thought I would drop in and catch up with you GALS. I love seeing all the pretty Christmas siggys! The one I am using now has been up on my profile since LAST Christmas. Well, this has been a hellish year for me so I never bothered to change it. Trying to decorate my tree today but on top of everything else, it appears that I may have fibromyalgia and I'm in a lot of pain today. Taking it slow. I will post some photos when I get it done. Hope you are all enjoying the season!

Love,

Swannie

 everyone! Finally finished Christmas shopping today! Now I have to wrap everything and put it under the tree. I hope I have enough wrapping supplies. I really don't want to have to go back to any store now until after Christmas! http://www.gerardbutlergals.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/candycane.gif

Stacey, :congrats: on those grades! :goodjob:

Anna, love the picture of Peridot! Cute! :)

Swannie, take it easy. Just do as much as you can, when you can. I'm sure everything will be lovely. :comfort:

I recently entered a Winter Graphics contest at .net. The voting is over, and 1 of my 5 entries won 3rd place. In case you'd like to see them, they're posted on my wallpapers thread, although they're greeting cards, not wallpapers. Here's the link, they're in post 91. They're not signed because they were in a contest. If you like them, feel free to use them. http://www.gerardbutlergals.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/caroling.gif

Swannie, it's a not easy to be worrying about the health of a loved one amid all the seasons festivities, but try to remain positive, your Mom is in good hands.

I am the LORD, who heals you. Exodus 15:26

Well I am nearly ready for the Silly Jolly Season! Just a few things left to wrap as wee Peri is out on a sleep over I can safely get out the wrapping paper.
