Betts! So good to see you! Sending you a friend request on Facebook. I'm sorry you've been had such a rough time lately. How wonderful of you to volunteer at the hospital. I'm sure they appreciate your help.

Frannie, I'm so happy to see you! The news about you new doctor seems hopeful. I pray that he'll be able to help you. I can only imagine how you've been feeling, but I want you to know that I've never stopped praying for you and your family. :hugs:

Suzie, you know I've been praying for Danny and the rest of the family as well. So sad to see cancer like that in anyone, but especially in someone so young. :rose:

Delene, We have traps like that, that's what we used to trap 3 of the kittens that we have now, but the mama cat is too crafty to get in the trap. We're going to keep trying to catch her after the current litter is weaned. My husband is threatening to use a fishing net to catch her! :D

Hugs to all! And, Suzie, I can't wait to take a ride in that hawt, sexy, new set of wheels! :p

Hi everyone...nice to see so many familiar faces here! Great to see you, Betts! Been wondering about you. It's good to see you posting too Frannie. Not a day goes by that I do not think of you and your family. I'm sincerely praying that you get some relief from your illness.

I've been working with my beta this week on a revision in the final chapter of Chanson de l'Ange, who just so happens to be a GAL most of you know! I'll also be working with my son on additional graphics for the back cover, and then the submission process will begin. Very busy with the CD and all our other projects, but Bill's dementia is of course my primary concern. It's very hard.

Many blessings to you all as you jump into the weekend. Hope you have a lovely Easter!

I just came on to wish all of my special galfriendsPosted Image! I will be having a full house this weekend. It seems like forever since I've been able to hug my boys. So I probably won't be back on before Easter. In addition to Bryan, Toni, B2 and Fynn, Toni's mom is coming with them and than I'll have Darla and her fiancee John as well.

Frannie, my dear sister of the heart, seeing you post here today ... I know I talked to you only a few hours ago ... but seeing you post is a gift!! You are so strong and special...remember that.

BETTS, Posted Image .... it has been way too long sweetie. You have been sorely missed.

Suzie, I can't wait to see pics of this new hot car of yours~ And you know that Danny is always in my prayers as is David.

Well, I'd best go check on my beasts....I just put down some new sod this morning and if Butler tears it out one my time .... :poof:

love and hugs,

Sue

So good to see so many people checking in.

Betts, so good to see you. I just was beginning to meet you as you went silent. GLad to see you here.

Fran, your strength amazes me. You continue to be in my prayers.

Suzie, Danny and David have been in my prayers since you mentioned about Danny before. I am sorry to hear that things have progressed so quickly. Both of the 'boys' will remain with me as time moves on...

Elissa! I'm with you! I wanta ride in that hawt sexy little car -- BUT I do not really blame Suzie for wanting help to drive the Houston freeways. The AIRPORT is more than I need to negotiate in Houston!

Swannie, how wonderful to hear about the book's progress. However, I am so very sorry to hear about Bill. You both are very much in my heart.

And Irish! How wonderful for you to be convening the clan this weekend. I am so happy all your nearest and dearest will be right here in River City. However, I do believe that Butler, being the wayward boy that his namesake is, might by into even more 'sodding' behavior....sorry, couldn't resist!

Love to you all. Have a wonderful and blessed weekend.

Jill

Thank you Irish for starting the new floor! I'm falling down on the job as the Erection Supervisor Admin, aren't I? I'm glad we have such a great team that someone always steps in when I'm asleep at the wheel.

Cat - so great to hear from you! I hope that you weren't affected by the horrible floods. Sometimes it feels as if the world is coming apart at the seams.

I have been at my new job for 3 weeks now and I absolutely LOVE it! If I could have sat down and created an ideal job for me this would be it. I've usually been a basically happy person where ever I've worked but each place has had its share of issues, until now.

My thoughts and prayers go out to all who need them, asked or unasked.

I'm so happy that God sent you to the right place, and saved a place for you there. You deserve to have a wonderful place

to earn your living. My last job was the one I had waited for all my career as well.

Good luck and enjoy.

Sandy

BlueJean

YES!!! It has been snowing for days here. We went to Allenspark for Easter dinner at Fawn Brook Inn and it was snowing there big time. Fortunately, on the way home we were behind the snowplow all the way back to Estes. Isn't it April 24th??? Why is it snowing?? Everyone was complaining about it at the Inn.

It took me a while, but I guess it's time for me to stop burying my head into the sand and come out of hiding. Although, it doesn't feel like such a good idea to the pouty side of me right now. Heh.

It's so great to see all you GALS again, and some new faces I think I see: :hello:

A lot has gone on with me in the last little while - but I really don't have the emotional strength to run through it again. One positive thing though, is that I have a new little addition to the family. Her name is Jasmine, and she -like Ori- is a Golden Retriever. She also -like Ori- has been a Godsend to me these last few months.

Also, one of my favorite photos of my nephew I'd like to share - he passed away last week.

Posted Image

As for what else I'm doing. I'm trying to get a book published - several books in fact. However I've come to a bit of a writer's block and they've been put on the backburner for a while. Of course, this could also be due to the fact that I lost almost everything a few weeks ago when my computer crashed. *facepalms* I'm sure I'll get something done in the next ten years though!

Melodie....I'm so sorry to hear about the passing of your nephew. Posted Image I don't know his story but the passing of a child is always so heartbreaking. I will send prayers on his behalf. Jasmine looks like a sweet dog. Dogs can be such a blessing, especially when you need some unconditional love. My goodness. you have had some rough times. I hope things get much better for you sweetie!

Just stopping in to say Hi to all my Galfriends. I haven't been home a lot between going to the specialist for a bunch of new tests and Deb has been keeping me from sitting around the house (Thank God) I've been busy.... Tomorrow I have about 6 hours of tests in Winston Salem and once again we are having severe storm and tornado watches tonight and tomorrow.... figures!!! Anyway, at least something is going to be done!

Frannie...Good to hear from you sweetie. I think of you so often and I'm glad Deb is keeping you busy. Good to hear the doctors are keeping you busy as well. Sounds like you found the right specialist who is determined to find the cause and make it better. Stay safe in your travels, I have heard about the nasty weather in your area. Will it never stop???

Frannie, good luck with all those tests. Hopefully you'll get some answers! Stay safe with all that bad weather coming your way! I wish it would rain here! We're in a horrific drought with wildfires all over the state!

Oh my dear Frannie, I've thought a lot about you these past few days since I heard. I really wish I could say more than I'm sorry - it seems so little compared, and I know it is devastating for you, I've been there too. I'm glad you're able to keep busy, I've been worried about you immensely. Please be gentle on yourself and know I'm sending lots of love, hugs and prayers.

And thank you all for your kind words. My head is still cloudy at the moment. As expected as it was, it wasn't this expected...if that makes sense. At least, not as well as he was doing. I hope though, that the fuzziness will go away after the services on Friday. I'm trying to write a letter to give to him...but the words just won't come.

Melodie, I'm glad you're finding comfort in your lovely pets, Jasmine and Ori. I'm a big animal lover myself. I have 2 dogs, a rat terrier named Archie, a shepherd/chow mix named Corky, and a houseful of cats! I love them all! Here's a picture of my daughter, Erin, and the newest kitten. I think it's a boy, but my track record of getting kitten gender right is not exactly stellar! I have 2 kittens that I thought were males who turned out to be females, so I'm going to wait for the vet to tell me this one's gender before I announce a name to the world! :p

Elissa...I can relate...I am an animal/pet lover myself which is why I live in the mountains in Colorado. When I was young I had a kitten that looked just like yours in the picture. I also had her brother. At one time I had two cats, a dog, a parakeet, two ducks, three chickens, a black rabbit, fish and snails. I was their sole caretaker and I loved it. I owned a German Shepherd as a young adult and two West Highland White terriers as I was raising my children. They are all gone now. So now I feed the wild Mountain chickadees out of my hand and enjoy the wildlife around here. We get elk, deer, coyotes, bear, fox, bobcats, lynx, raccoons, and mountain lions (I've never seen one but I have found their tracks in the snow). I love tracking in the winter. Enjoy your animals!!!

Frannie, I too am so glad to hear that between Deb and doctors you are being kept busy. I am always praying and thinking about you my sister of the heart....

Melodie, words will not express how sorry I am that Carter is no longer here on earth with his loving family....but I just know that he is in a much better place now and will never have to suffer again. That poor sweet baby suffered enough in his short time here on earth. Posted Image

Elissa, such a cute kitty and of course Erin looks as beautiful as ever! It was good seeing you and Suzie this morning! I hope you two have a great lunch today.

I had a great Easter weekend with my family. My grandbabies are getting so big. We took them to JC Penny's portrait studio to have family pictures taken. Boy was that ever a job! LOL. I can't wait to get the pictures back this Friday. Here are a few that I was able to take of them this weekend:

Hi everyone. I'd like to first pass on a hug for the tragedy that Melodie has experienced. We haven't met but I can sympathize. I am so sorry. It is a tragedy when a life is lost so early. I hope you can find comfort in every way and that your family is blessed in this hard time. I am new to GALS, but I intend to remedy that and become a very active member. I do so love to talk about Gerry. I would like to get to know you all and become a friend to anyone who thinks they could use at least one more. Posted Image

Sue...You're right, I wouldn't have recognized Fynnigan because he has grown so much and looks so much older. Why do kids do that? They grow up too fast. May I add that my future grandson-in-law is getting more handsome with each picture. Emma may have competition.

kaylanismommy1...Posted Image We always have room for new friends! You'll love it here. Have fun!

Thanks for the welcome. I hope I'm not posting too much. Just call me enthusiastic. I still have my copy of Men's Journal when he was on the cover. I like to reread the interview sometimes. Is that sad?

Not sad at all, and completely understandable! We've all got GALS, you know! :p

Sue, your grandsons are adorable! I enjoyed talking with you today, too! Suzie and I had a great lunch and I got to ride in her sexy new car! :D

No,Dear, that just confirms a good case of GALS. We all do it. He is so precious to us all.

You never post to much. Everyone is always glad to hear from you and know you are staying in touch.

Melonie, I'm so sorry to hear about your nephew. I don't know his back story, but from other posts I have to

assume that he was very sick. God will hold him with tenderness and love.

Frannie, I'm still praying for you in your loss, and praying that your doctors will find a way to help you

healthwise. I'm still hoping we will both feel well enough someday soon to meet. When you are

stronger and feeling better, let me know.

Hope everyone is safe this early morn with all the storms and tornados around.

Love him absolutely,

Sandy

Frannie, honey, I'm going to spank you for not calling me from the hospital. I hope your tests weren't affected by the storms in any way. It was wild around here yesterday and may be today as well. If you get this and have any way to meet for a few minutes, I'd love to run up (yes, I'm south of you) and have coffee or whatever. I know this is a scary time, but it can also be a hopeful time, too, especially if they figure out a treatment for you.

Love,

Buff
