I just bought the Marek doll tonight because I thought it looked just like Gerry today. Now I can dress him to look even more like Gerry.

I wonder how it feels to Gerry, just to let his freak curls fly! I know for me, I have tried everything to tame my curly hair. I've had it cut certain ways, used all sorts of products that only ended up making it look greasy and feel sticky to the touch. I've used special curling irons and hair rollers to "smooth" the curl into a more contemporary style, but finally a few years ago I gave up, let it grow longer and never put a brush or blow dryer to it again. It's easier just to let it do its own thing! I ADORE Gerry's curls and will cry my eyes out when he finally cuts them off.

Suzie! Thanks for adding the "Marek" doll photo! I ws looking for one, but I don't 'own' a Man-Doll and didn't want to swipe someone else's photo.

Swannie, Hair! Who's happy with their own born-with-it hair?

QUOTE...."Honestly, at times, G even holds his hands like the Marek doll." END OF QUOTE

That would be the "holding a can of Coke and/or cup of Starbucks coffee" hand position. hahahaha

Ahhh Barb, that would be Gerard. One of the GALS (who unfortunately hasn't been on GALS in quite a while (Loni) had him commissioned by an artist in Hong Kong from a picture of Gerry and she didn't like the way he came out and so she gifted him to me.

WOW Sue!! You are so lucky. I can't imagine why anyone would not like that one. I just ordered a Marek doll this week-end and now I need clothes. I especially want to find a whole Scottish outfit for him. I have the Forbes tartan cloth and need someone to make a kilt for me. So many plans......

I agree with you! :cunning:

Change only the color of hair: the first was dark, a color defined, are now clear and color indefinitely! :D

Thanks Irish for the 'scoop'...

I think 'he' is a terrific Gerry!

Kathy, good luck finding a tailor for a wee-kilt...

I know the GALS have info on Mandoll Clothes (furniture, etc!)

and lots more in the "What A Doll" subforum

And :hello: Nordic Girl!! Good to see you!
